I was cheated by a builder, he sold me a previously mortgaged flat to me, I paid the full amount to that builder yet got cheated, I filed case a cheating case in criminal court nothing happened, DEBT RECOVERY TRIBUNAL to stop bank from taking my possession of my flat, Nothing happened.. I ran in DMs office I was not entertained, i had to pay to bank to settle the loan that I didn't even take, to save my flat..i can tell you from my own experience, Indian laws never protect victims, it's designed in a way to safeguard cheaters....

60-90 days in jail is like giving free hand. Police is just thugs in uniform most times. I was once framed by couple of police of using drugs when all I had done was take selfies of my selfies with my friend.

Those laws were being refined for hundreds of years, there were lots of interpretation and comments on those laws and changing everything is not a good idea rather amendment shall be done.
Police are already understaffed and overworked and putting more burden is not a good Idea The same can be said for the judiciary.

Crimes committed before 1st july will be under old IPC even if filed after 1st july. But in such cases will the new crpc and new evidence act be applicable even in crimes committed before 1st july ?
New laws should be implemented for politicians as well - Qualifications, exams, interviews etc for new reforms in governance.
