Airsoftfatty Says There is No Nutrition In Salad And Calls Lettuce "Empty Calories"

On Fishtank season 2 Airsoftfatty claims that there is "No nutrition in those leaves" and calls Greg's salad "empty calories."
I couldn't find this clip anywhere on RUclips so I decided to be the one to upload it. I love lettuce and I don't like hearing it get slandered.

Low-calorie is not the same as "empty calories". A lollipop is empty calories. Lettuce is not. Lettuce is barely even "calories", for us humans. We can't metabolize most of its carbohydrates. Lettuce is edible water and roughage, with some micronutrients. I don't understand advising someone against eating lettuce. If you're trying to maintain weight, eat lettuce. If you're trying to lose weight, eat lettuce. If you're trying to gain weight, eat lettuce. It doesn't matter, other than it fills you up for a while. The non-lettuce stuff you eat will likely have a much greater impact on your macro intake, unless the non-lettuce stuff you're eating is more lettuce.
