I would say about 80% of the fans that listen to *BAND-MAID* does not speak Japanese including me I just like listening to the music 😊
I'm with you there, BM4L! Not a luck of Japanese, but the music is so incredible, it simply does not matter!

The way your face lit up with that smile when you heard Miku n Saiki harmonizing at the beginning totally warmed my heart! Wonderland is yet another song that stands alone in its uniqueness, yet still fits in the amazingly diverse genre that is BAND-MAID!

Just listen to the music. I’ve been listening to this song for four years; never concerned myself with the lyrics. SAIKI’s voice is all I need. I will tell you that “kanashi uta wa kikitakunai yo, anata ni waratte hoshi no” means “I don’t want to hear any sad songs, I just want you to laugh/smile.”
Great reaction! Mad respect for picking up on and appreciating all the beauty of Saiki’s vocal treatments in this song. Truly one of her most impressive vocal performances - and that a rock singer can find and deliver live such subtleties in her voice…simply gorgeous! And the whole band - the instrumentation is imho absolutely stunning; definitely some subtle jazzy & proggy type passages.
One thing you’ll catch next time. In the middle of the song g it’s Miku, not Kanami playing some single note bends that tail off to a descending string slide.
The whole song is one of my favorites and a real masterwork of blended genres into something just a bit more magical than most songs.

This song is just quality and so stylish in it's arrangement and delivery. Love Akane's cross sticks section but top points go to Saiki for the genius vocals.
The dark background for your reaction is perfect for "Wonderland". The song has such a cool jazz vibe to it (especially MISA's bass tone). Saiki's vocal range in the song is amazing. It is a perfect non-hard rock song for her.
When I first listened to this song, I thought... this is so different, I've never heard anything like this before. One of the most complex songs that's super hard to nail live.
It's not a happy song, but she wishes God will take her to wonderland, where happiness lasts forever, where all her worries and doubts go away...is my take.

It sometimes goes unnoticed but Miku doubles Saiki in a low register on a lot of songs. It is easier to hear when she doubles her in a high register.
