Super great tutorial, used it as reference when filling out my Form 1 as a Trust for an SBR and it was approved in a week or week and a half. You guys do great work; we appreciate it! They also answered a bunch of dumb questions I had (via RUclips comments), and promptly too. Got a couple more to fill out again, woot
this vid was a huge, invaluable help in walking through step by step the process and forms needed to submit. I had to refer to it 5 or 6 times since this is my first time sending in a form 1. great job guys!
At the 16 minutes and 8 seconds mark, you describe uploading the trust document e-form but I don't know what that is can you explain what the trust document eform is and where to get it,thank you
If you are applying with a gun trust, you would upload that under the electronic documents section. Are you applying with a gun trust? If you need a gun trust, you can purchase one here - www.nationalguntrusts.com/products/buy-nfa-gun-trust.
My question is why did you enter in Sheriff's info when the C in CLEO stands for Chief? My local sherriff's department didn't know what to do with my CLEO copy and didn't take the forms. I'm thinking I entered in the sheriff's info when it was supposed to be the Chiefs info.
The CLEO can be the county sheriff per the ATF, "The chief law enforcement officer is considered to be the Chief of Police; the Sheriff; the Head of the State Police; or a State or local district attorney or prosecutor."
Do you have any videos on what to do once the approved email is received. I did use this video and was successfully approved and less than a month thank you very much
I already have a trust and an ATF account and I already own suppressors and short barrel guns. I’m looking to do a suppressor build, I know I have to file a form 1 but do I need to resubmit pictures and fingerprints? Since they already have them on file? Thanks in advance!
It sounds like if I use the eForm and upload EFT-based fingerprints, I don't actually need to mail anything to the ATF at all. It also sounds like I don't need to mail anything to the CLEO either?
Great video!!! Just a few questions and for reference I am from TX. 1) do I have to put down a trustee asap or can I edit this later after submitting? 2) what is the form 5320.23 for? 3) under the Electronic Documents what document specifically do you upload for gun trust cause in the video it just says to upload but how can I if I dont know what it is, do I need it??? These questions are probably dumb so I apologize in advance
1. If you have a co-trustee in your gun trust you would add them to your application. 2. That is used for the responsible persons within the gun trust - www.nationalguntrusts.com/blogs/nfa-gun-trust-atf-information-database-blog/how-to-fill-out-your-batfe-form-5320-23. 3. You would upload a copy of your notarized gun trust and any state or local permits if applicable.
For a new firearm SBR in the line item section where it gives you the option of uploading a JPG, do I need to take a picture of the factory engravings?
I'm slightly confused on this part. So the engraving on my firearm and the serial number are in two locations. I guess my question is do I just take a picture of the engraving with the model number or do they want to see the serial number also? Thank you. These forms tend to make my brain over complicate everything. 🤦♂️
No you don't need to mail any paper work to the ATF if you upload an .EFT File. You would only need to send the CLEO copies of your application to your CLEO.
Can a guy just get the ATF forum 1's Send 2 to ATF 1copy to the Sheriff with 2 sets of fingerprints and mug shot. Old style instead of doing all this computer stuff? For pistol brace AR 15. Without paying $200 transfer tax???

@@NationalGunTrusts got my stamp today, that was 32 days total.
Outstanding presentation!
Glad you liked it!
Just a head up but the page says the max document size for the trust docs is 30MB not 3MB like many of the other sections.
The 30mb upload limit is there, but many people have issues uploading large trust files. The rule of thumb is to have the file under 3mb in size.
Thank you for all the information guys, I appreciate the detailed step by step video. It helped me a lot while submitting my form 1.
You are very welcome. We are glad that we could help you.
Helped me so much!! Phenomenal video!

If you are using the 24-month exception letter, I'm assuming you don't also upload your signed trust document as well. Or do you upload both?
You would upload either the 24 month exception letter or the gun trust. You won't need to upload both.

No, not at the moment. You would need to have your firearm engraved, then before you can make the firearm.
Could I still register my pistol as SBR for my trust?
Yes you can.
I already have a trust and an ATF account and I already own suppressors and short barrel guns. I’m looking to do a suppressor build, I know I have to file a form 1 but do I need to resubmit pictures and fingerprints? Since they already have them on file?

Yes you would still need to send the ATF your fingerprint cards, passport photo, etc for each tax stamp application.

If you apply with using the .EFT File, you won't need to send the cover sheet to the ATF. You would only need to send the CLEO copies to your CLEO.

For a new firearm SBR in the line item section where it gives you the option of uploading a JPG, do I need to take a picture of the factory engravings?
Yes, the ATF is looking for the original manufacturers engravings.
My form one was approved do I need to engrave my name city and state?
I'm slightly confused on this part. So the engraving on my firearm and the serial number are in two locations. I guess my question is do I just take a picture of the engraving with the model number or do they want to see the serial number also? Thank you. These forms tend to make my brain over complicate everything. 🤦♂️
Is the beneficiary of a trust required to fill out the RPQ as well as submit fingerprints?
No they aren't, unless they are also named as a co-trustee.
So, when i file and submit with the .eft file, i do not mail anything to the atf, but i do mail the cleo copies of the form 1 and 5320.23, correct?
No you don't need to mail any paper work to the ATF if you upload an .EFT File. You would only need to send the CLEO copies of your application to your CLEO.
Also, is there any issue to have the cover page and table of contents on my uploaded trust docs?
No there isn't.
Hello is this the same steps for individual?
Mostly. This guide might help you more - ruclips.net/video/WBq2a5RWMAg/видео.html.
I left box 4H blank. Is this permissible?
Yes it is.
Can a guy just get the ATF forum 1's
Send 2 to ATF 1copy to the Sheriff with 2 sets of fingerprints and mug shot. Old style instead of doing all this computer stuff? For pistol brace
AR 15. Without paying $200 transfer tax???
ive had my SBR approved for a while now and i moved housed how do i change the adress for my eforms? do you have a video up already?
You can go into your user account profile to update your address.
Does anything need to be done on the trust document?
So they didnt waive the 200$ fee?
WTH IS THE PIN NUMBER AT THE END?
That is the PIN number that you created when you created your ATF eForm's account. You can reset it under your profile.
