One thing to take into account is that Hezbollah made the decision to purchase and distribute these devices in February, to all of its operatives. Someone sold them on the idea. There are reports that the purchase went through Iranian sources. The assassination of Haniyeh in Tehran already demonstrated Israel's espionage infiltration into Iran. This coup makes palpable the fear of sabotage of any weapons or technology supplied by Iran to its proxies, aside from the manpower the attack either put out of commission or at least undermined to some degree.

The assassination in Tehran didn't demonstrate anything relating to Israel, because there was nothing concrete to tie Israel to the event. For all we know, it was local rebels who fired at the place he resided.

That's unlikely. The assassination looked a lot like other proven mosad operations. This pager thing on the other hand does not smell like mosad besides for the motive@@lforlight

I would not be surprised if there are saboteurs working within Iran to take down the current regime. Could the pager thing have been an inside job? I don't know.

Lithium ion batteries don't actually explode. Instead, they can either catch fire or leak gas and the gas can cause an explosion. But no way the latter happened all in a ten minute period with so much power cuz the detonation would be dependent on the concentration of gas and an open flame. It was explosives in the pagers.

they are saying it was a combination of both, meaning they had a few grams of petn initiated by the overheated battery. The reason that may be true is that based on the videos of the explosions and the injuries it looks like explosives and not lithium but at the same time there are reports of the pagers heating before exploding.

Not really, if China had hidden explosives (as small as they may be) inside their phones, it would be discovered in a moment
