The X230 is a TANK of a laptop. Excellent keyboard, excellent build quality, easy to work on, spill-proof, very upgrade-able. The fact that you can get these used in good condition for rock bottom prices is amazing.

This is an excellent video except that it is not shown how to transfer the trackpad from the old palm rest to the replacement palm rest.

Does FRU 00HT288 match with my X230 palm rest?
This video is misleading as all the Palm Rest replacement parts available (at least here in the UK) seem to be supplied without a Trackpad fitted, which is not detailed in his video.
