This looks fun, but I'm still boggled by the fact that it took a Lego game to bring back this style of gameplay.
Chris Joseph Exactly and you know the sad thing about this is that the chances of it coming back in Project Sonic 2017 is very unlikely.
ZD Cosner I sure hope it does, but you are probably right. I at least hope it'll go back to being serious and dynamic like how it used to be before colors and Unleashed. Some of Unleashed was that way, but there were certain things that rubbed me the wrong way with it. Like Robotnik's personality and the character designs.

What was wrong with the character designs? They looked perfect in Unleashed.
Monkey D. "Straw Hat" Luffy It's just my opinion. When they got to that Pixar style, it just took me out of it. The humans looked dumb and the main characters looked generic (I liked how professor pickles looked though lol). I liked where they were going with 06. Not too tall and lanky. Not too short and chubby. And there was kind of a seriousness too them. And I already liked what they had going on with Heroes and Shadow. And Adventure 2 had a nice edge to the look of the characters.
It's just a personal preference. I prefer the more real looking people with realistic environments that they have used in the past with a Sonic flare to it. I mean when the 3d games started there was an emphasis on how the games should look realistic to show off what they could do with a games environments. That's just what I like to see. Unleashed was a very beautiful game. I just can't get passed the designs. It's a minor gripe in a sense.

Shouldn't the people who live in Sonic's world reflect that by looking cartoony themselves? And so that the art doesn't clash with itself...? Also, everyone's limbs and hands in 06 were incredibly long and disproportionate. It looked so... _bizarre_. And not in a good way. And the fact that everyone had either "beyond pissed off glare" or "complete blankness" as a default facial expressions made them look really creepy. Almost like they're people in mascot costumes, with these cartoony creatures walking around in a world with (badly done) hyper realistic humans.

I think they're fans more of the Adventure era. They didn't even touch the music...thankfully.

Slayer Reddokasai Close, but it's missing the ability to play as favorites like Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Silver, and Blaze.
Pretty sure Silver was no one's fave outside of the two comic book spin-offs. Maybe Rivals too. Wouldn't know about that one though.

For most of the side missions here, I usually imagine Finn and Jake being the ones helping the characters. Makes sense because they always like to help out people and they would be stupid enough to fall for one of Eggman's schemes. For Tails' mission, I was playing as Michael Knight in my first playthrough.
We get it shadow, you're the ultimate life form. You don't need to word "ultimate" into every sentence.

Out of all of the Sonic characters to use, they use Big the Cat. They could've used Rouge, Blaze, Silver, even an obscure character like Fang or Mighty. But no they use Big. But to be fair it's actually really funny to see him in this game.

I used to play this game but got bored of buying all the different packs for so much money- but, I will say, some of the Series 2 stuff is really cool. Specifically, the Sonic world is really well made...

Overall, the characters seem rather true to themselves. Except Knuckles... I sense Boom Knuckles in him, still. I think the Knuckles most of us know him as is long gone. Too bad, too. I really love how they made Big more loveable yet still... slow. It's more endearing. They missed out on the "THIS IS WHO I AM" joke for Shadow, though.
They did get one thing right about Knuckles. He didn't get complacent about the Master Emerald getting stolen or broken for once. Seeing as he went out of his way to stash it in the Hidden Palace for old time's sake.

I love how merciless Amy is with the damn robots. It's like she doesn't know anything about roboticization. This isn't the Archie/SatAm universe you say? Oh, so you REALLY think the loony Doc isn't going to program his bots to have a personality to keep himself from being lonely or bored? The free will part is just the price he pays. Just imagine if all his bots truly had no personality or free will... then he'd be truly mad! More mad than SatAm Robotnik! So Amy just assumes she's smashing a badnik but they could be a goodnik... Not every bot has a flicky inside them.

Amy is one of my fav characters in the franchise, which makes me especially annoyed that her voice is so GRATING in this. Its like they asked Minnie Mouse to sound sassy. At least they made her interesting again. Take notes, Sonic Team.
Kinda sad these guys are just NPC's. Otherwise, I probably would've bought the game.
Monochrome Mikail I know, they have a lot of animations and abilities that could've been used as playable characters. They should have become playable after completing each mission.
Let us hope that when they make up Lego Sonic or Lego SEGA, they will all be playable.

Jaxon Short Even those who had central roles only once in a game (Tikal, Elise, Mephiles, Iblis, Chip, The Deadly Six (Zavok, Zeena, Zommon, Zzazz, Zik and Zor) and even Maria). And I imagine most of the characters' gameplay: Speed characters running as fast as the speed characters in Lego Batman 3 and Lego Avengers, Power characters breaking through walls and other things the big figures do, Tails being able to fly (obvious) and access technologic pannels (like Ethan Hunt just did in the side quest he appears in), Silver having the same powers of Scarlet Witch in Lego Avengers (telekinesis, deflect beams and shoots and mind control) and Shadow using teleportation accesses.
