I'm relatively new to the Scan N Cut. I just upgraded to the SDX125 and I'm loving it. This is by far one of the best tutorials I've seen. Your description of each process is so on point.
What a great tutorial Kim...you are a really great teacher...you explain every little detail ......thank you for all the work you put in to teach us...it is very much appreciated...Mary McL ....Australia
Kim, glad that I took a few of your classes, you explain everything in detail and step by step...Thank you for being there for us, especially us newbies learning the machine.
I’m glad you appreciate my teaching style. I always want to make sure the lessons are complete so that there is not a mystery as to how I created the projects. Thanks for watching.
You are an amazing teacher. I know you classes are in more detail, but this video really hits all the basics. I have learned so much from you over the years. I am so thankful you are my teacher. ❤
Thanks so much Susan! I am so glad you have been along for the ride as my channel has grown. This video was a thank you to my viewers. I wanted to make something based on the votes of what others wanted to learn about.
Hi, I am sure you hear this a lot, but it is worth repeating - Thank you very much for your tutorials! You are a wonderful instructor and inspire me to actually use my Scan n Cut that I have had for such a long time and really have not figured out quite how to use. I intend on looking for your font tutorial so I can practice some of the tip & trick you have provided in this video. Thank you again for all of your hard work!
OMG just cut my first font !! I'm soooo happy, and all because of you !! Thank you so much ! Now I don't have to buy and enlessly search for dutch sentiment dies !!!
Thanks for yet another great tutorial. Work has been so so busy for me that I have not had much time with my actual crafting. And because we are all working from home, I feel that I put in a few extra hours then I would if I was going to the office. Thank goodness I can listen to RUclips. This lesson really inspired me. Needless to say, I placed an order from the new catalog.
I'm glad you can listen while you work Kathy. I hope you also get to listen while following along inside of Canvas Workspace. That way, you get to practice what you learn.
Thanks Donna Jo. I am glad you like this technique. I use it all of the time to create liners for my boxes. I like to mass produce them and make the most of the spaces between the liners as I cut them out from templates.
@@PaperedChef lol. Just worked on the don't class. Know I know how to download the fonts. Lol. It takes me a bit but I eventually get it. Not the computer generation. 😄
Susan Crosier I totally knew what you meant! Thanks for sharing that. This tutorial was a fun way to apply some of the skills you learned in that course.
Susan Crosier Oh I missed this the first time around. In the Fonts course on Udemy, there is a section on downloading and installing fonts. That will walk you through those steps.
Hello !, I've been having problems welding certain fonts (I have a ton of downloaded fonts) it will not let me weld because there are open paths or intersecting, I thought for sure I had this problem in the past (not sure which font) but I could double click to get the nodes to correct the problem, can't do that either. if you have any help would be greatly appreciated ! thanks so much !
There are so many tricks to working with fonts. First, try welding just a couple letters at a time. Also, make sure you weld before you resize. Also, don’t weld bold font. I offer a ScanNCut Fonts course. See my courses and current coupons here. thepaperedchef.com/brother-scanncut-courses
Hi desperately need your help with welding the Boo word in this tutorial, I constantly get a error when trying to weld. Have followed your tutorial to the tee and get the same error every time. The error code is E92001 selected objects include open paths??? Help please, Thanks
Nancy, try welding a couple of letters at a time. That is how I avoid a lot of errors. Also, be sure to upgrade because the software has so many quirks. Go to support.brother.com to download.
Scan n cut is so school, I have a cricuit expolor air and there software is blah. Looking for something to cut chipboard but darn these things are high. Dont know if I go with cameo 4 or maker but mmm scan in cut sounds nice too but cant do chipboard
Marie, I am not sure how good this will be at cutting thick materials like chipboard. It is good for cutting thick card stock. I have a Cricut too. I like their graphics selection.
I appreciate the time, attention to detail, and information you put into you tutorials. Thank you so very much.
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching Lynn!

Happy to have the ‘divide’ feature to my tool box. Also love the new fonts. You may be my favorite enabler. Ha.
Sharon, I’m glad to be your enabler! The divide feature is so fun to use when creating holes. Thanks for watching.

Tnanks Karla, I have worked countless hours on my channel and I'm so happy to have reached this milestone.
Thank you for sharing!
Anytime Jackie! This was a “viewer’s choice” video topic so I wanted to make it comprehensive.
Another great tutorial. I'm actually starting to understand the canvas program. Lol. At least I can follow you and it makes sense. Who knew? Hugs

How large does the font need to be to cut the word out of cardstock? I keep trying, but it's a mess.
