You were in our backyard playground, lol. We live just a couple properties down from the rally; if you spent anytime in Plain Grocery you probably talked to my wife behind the counter. The roads and trails are great, 20 minutes from leaving the driveway and we’re on the WABDR. You eventually get used to the taste of flour dust and learn to keep a foxtail handy in your trail bag to sweep it off the backside of your Jeep. And most everything else. There’s no mistaking the lofty heights of Mt. Stuart, big daddy of the Stuart Range and overseer of The Enchantments. Great video. Thank you for sharing.
Being the only 4Runner on the trail with you guys I felt the pressure lol. I Had a blast though! I’m glad you guys got to experience a little bit of Washington’s outdoors! I’ll see you guys again at Expo! 💪🏻
Hopefully you come away with some PNW racing strips on your jeep. The nice thing about the rally is it’s more about community and less about selling things. Have a safe trip.
That was our first time at NWOR and we had so much fun! At 26:19 you can see our camp setup in the very back/end of the row, large orange tent with the front of our subaru sticking out behind it. We had a family of 6 (4 kids!) and they were able to attend so many amazing classes. Both my Wife and I also conquered the technical course (super happy for my Wife, she did it 3 times!).
Welcome to our "neck of the woods"! As you've most likely noticed... most of our trails are forest service roads leading to spectacular viewpoints and camping areas. Views of our many volcanos are beautiful. I live in the shadow of Mt. Baker (Washington-Canadian Border) and the wife and I never tire of finding new landings to camp on with awesome views. Followed your channel for some time now.... you're both entertaining and educational...keep up the great work. AND! RIP poor Rooster.
Welcome to the PNW. I've done this one before. Hopefully you got a chance to get into Leavenworth. Since you're up this way, I'm guessing you'll be at Overland expo PNW in Redmond Oregon. I'll be heading down there Thursday.
I've been with Cowpie on that trail also! Great people and a fun trail! And we had to get a full-size Ford truck through those tight trees without body damage. :)
what did you do to insulate the tailgate? saw a rubber strip in as you filmed right over it?? would love to know, given your experience, what you used if you have the time.
Hi Matt It was a real pleasure getting to see you again at PNW You are always a nice guy to talk to, even if it’s for only a moment. Keep up the great work We love your content My wife and I are considering becoming patrons to your channel as we enjoy it so much. Thanks again for being as real in person as you are on film Larry and juvy Morris
I used to frequent the area, north of Ellensburg, east of the Cascade Crest, in the vicinity of Liberty and Hwy 97. Skied and hiked in the area. They had a huge fire there in the past five years or so. The spiky peak off to the NE is Mt. Stuart, the highest peak of the Stuart Range and highest non-volcanic peak in Washington State. Thanks!
I know your friendly distain towards Toyotas, and I are own one, but what is your method of getting past pin striping and other damages? What gets you through the tragedy of spending so much money just to have it take any damage? Just an honest question from a very part time trail rider.
I don't buy them to look pretty. I buy them to take me to amazing places and sometimes that includes pinstripes and as you can see from the driver rear quarter panel, body damage.
Did you win the swag?....If ya did , I might be interested in buying it. I can't get my 150# senior,(almost 8 yrs old) Great Dane up into the roof top tent, so as long as he is with me, it will be ground camping for us....Great video as always!... Who flys the drone when ya'll are riding together? Does Cara drive and you fly it or vs. versa? Peace and happy adventures....
I can't tell you how much I love watching your stuff. Thanks for posting and all the work you do. I've noticed the last few videos a couple of spots where the video freezes and gets all pixelated for a few seconds and then goes back to normal. I reloaded and went back and it happened in the same spot so i'm wondering if it's an issue with the video file or how it's encoded. Wasn't sure if you knew. Keep up everything you do!
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures the second one in this video is 17:47-17:58. This is the first time I've seen it happen in twice in a video that I can remember. I just don't want it to be a bad memory card and you lose footage. My gut says that if it is a memory card you would see it in the raw footage during editing. Anyway LOVE the content!!!

The black jeep at lion rock was my jeep. Good times....
Great video! Those vistas were fantastic! I’ve hardly ever used the garmin app with my inreach, but that Spot X looks cool! And the tripod torch!

😂😂😂 hole in rock, hole in the something! 🤷♀️ 😂
Hey Matt, did you post this on accident? Seems like a Friday type video!
It is but I wanted to get this out right after the rally and I already have a video lined up for this Friday.
Saw you from a distance but didn't get a chance to say hi. Hope you enjoyed our backyard.
I did!

My wife and I have camped at Lions. My family and I were just in the mountains near Wenatchee. Wasn't aware of the NW overland rally until now 😢.
28:42 I see two guys sitting in the background that I recognize. I won't name them, but they've had a big impact in the overland community.

I love you guys! Thanks so much for making these videos!

No. Many weeks after.
Well that’s a interesting and really cool fire pit/fire stick lol

Didn’t win the swag. lol. Yes when together she drives and I fly.
Love the videos and have to ask where did you get the Be Kind Toyota and Jeep shirt?
That shirt is one of ours. Shopoverlandapparel.com

Thank you. Not sure on the pixelation issue. No one else has mentioned that. Can you give me the time stamp so I can check it with the original file?

Yup, I noticed it at the same place too. Also happened in the last video, I just thought it was my internet being dumb.
next time pls don't wear yellow shirt😮
Why?
What! You didn't wait for Extrusion over lands set up?
That’s going on Sully. Impatiently waiting!!!

Will you be using any of the Blue Ridge Overland Gear Bags? We've really enjoyed using their products to become a lot more organized. Great features, price and we like that they make them right in Virginia US.
So excited for you both with the new wedge camper. We can't wait for those adventures!
Thank you for share some really cool new products like the fire tourch and the Spot X.
