I overworked myself with the editing so I hope you guys like it compared to the lackluster editing on the previous one, I'll go back to letting LE-EX-8 beat me up now. On another note, just for people who want to know: You get 1 sanity per 6 minutes, 10 an hour, Banner rates and the pools are under the "Details" button. There is no difference between single pulls and 10-pulls, people do singles to save pulls, 10s to burn through it faster.
Omg thank you so so much! I’ve been wanting to get into arknights but a lot of the guides were still really confusing to me and made it difficult to understand the game. But your guide definitely helped me understand the game a lot more and I feel more confident in playing the game now, so thank you! 🤗
Thanks for the compliment, I'm nearing up on 2 years myself so I wanted to help as many people as possible with questions I may have asked myself in the past, since all these starter guides are 40+ minutes and quite verbose
yeah I didn't mention that specifically as a beginner having a full pot 4 star right away is unlikely, and they would find out from token exchange anyways The note on screen was referring to when you pull them how it would give distinctions rather than token conversion
@@FrostDemigod ye answered all the button questions for sure and some mini advanced things. Now ill just try and level slowly I think. Ill probably save my Originium for juicy skins. Any recommendation on when to summon a bunch keeping pity and all that stuff in mind? Dont wanna waste gacha currency, but gotta build a decent roster eventually
@@pitayah3781 Save your gacha currency for the limited banners since they're generally the best worth, but certain event units coming up (Młynar) are pretty cracked. Imo I say follow who you think looks cool, but if you really want to get meta units, just save your pulls for the next 3 months and wait for Texas the Omertosa who is an upcoming celebration banner limited. 👍
@@FrostDemigod I see I see. I definitely want characters I like (Cool, Super Hot etc) but I also dont want to cripple my early progression. So you think it worth saving even if you are in the very beginning? (Only did 2 Beginner multis). Got my hands on Exusiai and a few 5* from selectors and the multis (Specter, Liskarm, Projekt Red, Istina and another one im not using)
@@pitayah3781 yeah imo it's worth saving, exusiai can carry you through most of early content. Hold onto the 2nd selector for when you need a power spike and are missing a specific class. the upcoming summer banner has nothing but really good units so save for that
Thank you so much for this, im a new player and this help a lot. Btw i want to ask, is the main story in arknights already end? Or keep going to the next arc or something?
The first main arc of Arknights has already finished, Chapters 9 and 10 are the start of the new arc, chapter updates roll around slowly as chapter 11 is around 4 months from now
New player here. My guards keep dying even with healing support. I've started to get into the habit of leaving the behind in favor of snipers and defenders. How can I use guards that dont evaporate?
Guards are very squishy as you seem to have noticed, however guards try to offset that by doing more damage than taking (they can't kill you if they're dead). Generally positioning is key or having your defenders tank the hits while guards deal damage from a different position is how most people use them. People prefer guards that have extra range or some form of sustain/burst to best make use of their class
I would also like to note that most of the guards that are more viable are generally of the 6☆ rarity with a few exceptions (melantha, mousse, cutter, lappland, la pluma, specter)
@@FrostDemigod Most maps have single lanes, dose that mean that guards are genrally useless unless they have the range to attack through defenders? (Doberman is the only guard I really use.)
@@Parelf Being brutally honest, unless a 6 star it is unfortunately the case. Doberman got the worst end of the stick by having the worst guard archetype as well, do not let that dissuade you from using her if you like her though, the more you level your units the easier and more freedom you will have for gameplay. You can join my discord in the description and we can help you out there with images if you need it
@@Parelf Depends on the map and what enemies that go through it. You can use duelist guard or arts guard to filter out an otherwise annoying enemy (while being helped by a medic and maybe another DPS depending on their output) and let the weaker ones come to the backline. Their 1 block and stats is suitable for 1v1 scenario. Ranged guards can take the enemies down from distance, some can switch their damage type to arts. Also a lot of the low rarities stars are still viable. 6 stars are obviously better, but that doesn't mean the lower ones are useless. It's all up to your brain and preference. The only ones that are borderline useless is Frostleaf, Adnachiel, and maybe Dobermann (outside 3 stars comp).
This is a really well done guide with simple explanations, great work! Also i got a question though how do u unlock more support unit slots (i only have one open with the other two locked), i haven't been able to figure it out yet.
You have to upgrade the Reception Room facility in your Base, so as you play through more stages and unlock more levels to your base you can upgrade the reception room and unlock those slots
The third anniversary is right now, but we have the summer Limited banner of Gavial the Invincible. The proper 3rd anniversary unit on the Celebration banner was Specter the Unchained, and the 3.5 Anniversary unit is Texas the Omertosa in 3 months
For more specific, I'd say 2 vanguards, 2 defenders (a healing defender would be nice), 2 guards (can be 1 ranged and 1 duelist/arts guard or 2 ranged), 2 snipers. Caster and medic is flexible, depending on how well the rest of your team performs in terms of defense and offense as well as the map. The last slot is free, but there are times you'll need a fast redeploy, so keep that in mind. Also another thing to note is that not all stages will suit your generic team. Whenever that happens, you will need to adjust the composition of the team. A lot of high defense enemies? Bring more arts damage or units that can ignore defense. A lot of high RES enemies (stats used to reduce arts damage)? Bring more physical damage or units with RES shred. There's a big horde incoming? Bring units that can hit multiple enemies. A lot of drones/aerial enemies? Bring more anti aerial snipers.

LOL, it's the little things that matters after all 😂
Thanks for this, deserve my sub. I plan on starting on arknights and seeing this as one of the most helpful and recent guides.
Ty fam, really means a lot! Hope you enjoy your arknights journey ✌
4 stars also give you gold certificates, after you maxed them out in potential (which will happen pretty fast), just not when you pull them.
yeah I didn't mention that specifically as a beginner having a full pot 4 star right away is unlikely, and they would find out from token exchange anyways

Ayo the timing. Started playing today.
Hope this helps, always happy to help a new player out 🙏

This guide is still good to go! Only thing that really changed was a new banner added to the gacha system!
