Michael Clarke Ducan as John Coffey was absolutely perfect casting no one else could of played that role the way he did, RIP Michael.
Yes he absolutely made Green Mile his performances just moved you so much ...so real
"He killed them with their love; that is how it is all over the world". Phenomenal performance by Michael Clarke Duncan, no one could have done a better job. Thank you so much Michael for sharing your talent and entertaining all of us; you were taken from us too soon. I hope and pray you are peace with God almighty. You will never be forgotten. RIP Michael Clarke Duncan.
Nominated - he should have swept the award spectrum .. he was absolutely amazing
Yep he really was the only John Coffey love his role so much miss that big dude and his voice
REST IN PEACE MICHAEL!!!YOUR CHARACTER IN GREEN MILE IS UNFORGETTABLE!!!
Great actor! He will be missed RIP.
R.I.P. Michael...a lovely guy and a great actor
It's surprising that Duncan needed an acting coach on the set, considering how powerful his performance became. I assume that Darabont was more impressed by Duncan's personality than by whatever his initial audition was. Darabont went with his gut, rolled the dice, took the risk, cast an inexperienced actor in a big part -- and it worked tremendously well. Duncan was a hell of a talent, gone much too soon.
i am genuinely sad he has passed away :( The green mile used to be my favorite film
Absolutely remarkable
casting from heaven
When I first heard I thought it was some kind of twisted joke. The man was great actor and I really wanted to see him in more film. R.I.P
La ligne verte est un très bon film et Michael Clarke Duncan a été pour beaucoup pour le succès du film
We will miss you buddy.
1:52 "He had all the tools and then some" reminds me of Andy's line "and whatever mistakes I made I've paid for and then some"
I total agree allways remember The part when he say boss im tired boss 😢😢😢❤only him make that movie so special
He continues in heaven with the other dead actors like Michael jeter, Sage Stallone, Heath ledger etc. Even Mr Jingles
❤️❤️❤️
The Green Mile makes me cry every time and now it'll be sad to watch it :/
What a great guy.
I want Frank Darabont to direct the Dark Tower Saga
I'm gonna miss Michael Clarke Duncan.
Aww Michael.
This man wrote The Blob
Directed Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, The Majestic and The Mist.
He is one of the greatest filmmakers of all time! Period.
I cant imagine another human being on the planet pulling it off better than Michael Clark Duncan, he is John Coffey. RIP.
Frank is so cute and handsome! :) hehe
What do Morgan Freeman and Michael Clarke Duncan have in common? Two things: They're both African American actors and they've both been directed by Frank to Oscar nominations.
In Stephen King prison story adaptations.
RIP.
An unassuming giant of a man.
He directs walking dead!!! Aaaahhhhh cant wait for season 4
Shit, 6 days before a tragedy
What a shame
In an interview with Empire, Darabont said that MCD's first audition wasn't good at all.
I didnt see that interview, but from what Darabont said here it is easy to see that Michael's first audition didn't go too well. I'm so glad Darabont stuck with Michael though because Michael "made" that movie. Not taking anything from any of the other actors, but without Michael, it would have fallen well shorter.
