Is that door frame you were filling the split on rebate or have you just grooved it for the a 15mm intumescent intumescent strip? I didn't think it would be necessary for rebated frames in a domestic house.
I liked every bit of the video. Lots of good tips for an inexperienced person. I agree with changing the title, so *when* I forget exactly what you said someplace, I’ll actually be able to figure out which video to find it in. And, you could always edit in a clip of using the Dewalt and turn it into a full review.
The pressure release in the tank does not work correctly. The piston is static and therefore the sealant package gets stuck between the piston and the container. I am an industrial climber and because of this I lost 1 day of work.
those silicone guns are stupid money for what they are. i nearly bought one last year because i hurt my hand and the constant use of the silicone gun was killing me. i still couldnt justify it.
I completely agree, the amount you're paying for the most basic of technology is quite shocking, but I had so many shower panels to glue on with adhesive that was so thick I'm glad I bought it.
Quality of work mate , what else could it be ,😂 nice video would that DeWalt larger cartridge work with grout for exterior tiles as that is what we do 🤔
@@mrabuilders6723 yeah that's what we use , thinking of Fuga , tried it before in a roughneck guns , worked well , just thought it might work better with the DeWalt?
My advice would be not to try it mate but if it works with a Roughneck mortar gun then use that, if it eventually ruins it then it's a far less expensive mistake to make.
"Them or they hole" :-) In the United States of Imperial Measurements we have the 300ml (ten oz), the 600ml sausage and the 28oz (2,8 x 300 = 840ml) tubes. The DeWalt is available in "29 oz" size to add confusion but it is close enough. At least it keeps the numbers a bit more reasonable than the stupid pronouns.
Thanks for the video

9:10 I already knew you were gonna run the gun thru the closed cartridge I did the same thing first time I ran mine. lol
I bought a cordless non branded chalking gun on eBay for £98 and it's been brilliant. It also takes sausage bags, short and long tubes in one gun.
good tips
All that chat and we didn’t even see it work.
Sorry about that mate, I did ramble on about it for a while didn't I. Apologies man.
I was waiting .... and waiting
Doesn't even make sense.
Thumbs down.
Hello @dramatish hope you're well. What is it that doesn't make sense to you? I'll happily clarify anything...
@@mrabuilders6723 people can speed threw the video if they want. They just need a reason to complain.

I use this sausage gun almost daily for my job it's a good tool.
Hello Jason, do you use the 600ml adhesive tubes with it please? If so, where do you get them from and what brand do you recommend?
@@mrabuilders6723 my employer supplies the glew sorry I can't tell you where they get it. But the glew we use is called sikaflex
No worries man, nice one, I'll look it up. Thank you.

Thought this was supposed to be a review on caulking gun not a aimless ramble about a days work - perhaps rethink your title
