I agree, although I doubt they made the costumes from scratch, they most likely borrowed it from plays and such
These costumes and hairstyles were more historically accurate than the majority of “period” dramas...

Tina- far funnier writer than performer (she'll tell you so), Kate- has been in cruise control for past two seasons, needs to leave SNL for bigger and better things. Neither was ever half as consistently funny as Wiig.

The whole skit was odd. I guess it was supposed to be progressive and support gay marriage, but I think it was a crappily written skit. Strange how some of their skits can be classics, and others just junk.

Yes, the Brits would say "dyook" instead of "dook", but how is it wrong? It's the way we say it. Usage is everything. If saying dook is wrong, then the way Brits say "marquis" is wrong. It is french, and should be pronounced "mar-KEE".
And "noos" instead of "news".

During the video there were just two historical inaccuracies (that I percieved): a white woman marrying a black man and the crimean war having finished years eralier. This damn comedy sketch was more historically accurate than more period dramas I know…
