Just like in 2011, it's so hard to hate the Nashville organization and their fans. All class. With Trotz leading the charge up top, only good can roll downhill. I cheered for Trotz when he was with Capitals. I will continue to support him as long as it's not at the expense of the Canucks.
Trotz and his often sidekick (though not at the moment) Lou, are two of the best minds in the game.
Hats off to Bruno and the Preds. You forced us to play your game and it almost worked. Kudos, see you next year.
Arrogant #Canucks fan here. Class act team and organization. And this guy deserved a game 7. This team lost in 6. But it was much closer. Hats off. And I will always respect Nashville fans and Media. Again class act. Top to bottom.

This series was hell of a lot closer than the 4-2 Canucks win. Could have easily gone the other way. Congrats preds. Had hell of a season especially when it looked like they were down and out before all star break

Meh I dunno about easily, yall gotta win a game at home and not scoring on a 6on4 on an AHL goalie is atrocious. Nashville sucks

I am a Canuck fan, I have to congratulate Nashville on their play overall. They are a very good organization and the series could have gone either way. It was a great series for fans to watch. Thanks for the great show.
I call bullshit on people calling it boring. They just don’t appreciate defensive chess. Also huge credit Nashville and Bruno. Hell of a team, hard nose, bruising and strong on that back end. Great primer for Canucks in tight checking hockey with no space.
Npc’s found this molasses series entertaining, it had its moments but Nashville sucks.

Full marks to the Predators. Unlike the Capitals, they lasted the full 6 games against one of the best team in the league. There is nothing to be ashamed with. They should be proud of the fact that they didn't get sweep by the Canucks. All they need perhaps is a couple pieces and they will be right there to get past the 1st round next time. It was clear the team was out of gas and playing hurt by game 6, the physical aspect of the playoff showed its ugly face on the team.

Top notch goal tending on both ends. Might even give the edge to Saros as a Canuck fan here. He’s so damn quick laterally. But also our young 3rd string goalie sure stepped up to the plate on the big stage.
Could have easily went the other way. But the Canucks were very consistent.

Brunette is a very good, humble, and classy coach. Wouldn't mind having him as a Canucks coach someday.
Nashville played hard, but they had very little left in the tank by Game 6. They'd been hitting Vancouver into oblivion, especially Quinn Hughes, for 5 games and in Game 6, they clearly didn't have a lot left to give. Brunette did all he could with that roster and they had talent and played hard, but the better team won. I wouldn't feel bad about this if I'm a Preds fan. Their team played hard and didn't quit. Respect. Game 6 could have gone either way. They made Pettersson look invisible. That's not easy to do. If Nashville fires Brunette after this, they're insane. The team has a bright future. They need to get a little younger, but they have the goaltending. They'll be back. At least you got Nicole Kidman this time rather than Carrie Underwood.

Congrats to Nashville on a fantastic series that could have gone either way. Most teams would have probably been done after that soul crushing loss in game 4. Instead they rebounded with maybe their best game in Vancouver to keep the series alive. And dealing with the flu bug they pushed Vancouver to the limit in game 6 as well. What a gutsy and resilient team. All of Nashville should be proud.

Canucks fan, but I pretty much agree with Brunette. It was such a tight, defensive struggle. I’m actually proud of both teams, they way they played!
As a Preds STH, this team definitely overachieved…..series could have gone either way….now Barry Trotz needs to keep the retooling going. Bruno has been a really good coach……he was given a roster that did not have the forward talent necessary to win in the playoffs. I trust Trotz to fill that hole. I’m looking forward to next season.
Nashville tried to win by blocking shots. If they worried more about scoring they might have won the series. Losing 3 games at home doesnt help. Saros is probably pissed they couldn't score for him.

If they worried more about scoring the Canucks would have filled the net most likely. Canucks have more firepower.
Well it’s not that they prioritized blocking over scoring, they just blocked when it was in their zone. The Canucks just had pretty good goaltending and defence when it mattered

Nashville was a hard out but to become a better team you need that. I think they will be far better off because we won a hard series

Tbh Nashville was barely holding on the whole series. The majority of their goals came off lucky bounces, kick ins or crashing the goalie. The spent most of the series chasing and trying to hurt the Canucks. They played like a losing team. If it wasn’t for their goalie and all the shots they blocked the series would have been super lopsided.
