Is there at all any idea as for the release date/window?
You guys only need to fix the camera and you have a gem in your hands, make the camera like summonerwars/raid and you have naailes it. Right now the camera is to much it really hindert everything. If you can manage that you are definitie have a succes in your hands. The other things can be updated later on believe me fix the camera.
Think about QOL Simon. Give us option to skip fights and do our dailies fast. You have a lot of working adults as your fan base ❤️

Having a shop for a game like this is necessary. I’m a small spender in games and being able to buy skins/cosmetics or summons is a nice luxury but I’m confident you all won’t break the game with it. It all looks like a great start and can’t wait for when you finally release it to the masses.
I love the “mastering things in game to earn masteries”! I think that’s my favourite innovation so far.

This made me feel a lot better for some of my concerns for sure. The camera angle with these animations actually makes it look really good.
I love the idea of destructible background, and I know it's very early in the design, but something to keep in mind for further down the road... make sure the destruction matches the power of the ability. If the same tower falls over every fight on the second hit of the fight each time, you loose the novelty of it. Also, think of the difference of the damage between a single target hit and massive aoe slam.
They're gonna realize this is too hard to implement per skill and axe it altogether soon.
@@Nu2Morrow I wouldn’t think you’d have to do it per skill specifically. Admittedly, I have no clue how any of this works in the programming, but I would think each skill would have a “terrain damage” range and amount. You’d only have to assign corresponding numbers to each skill but get varying effects. Single target skills have high damage but low range, so only objects really close are affected. Some AOE have high range but lower damage, so it takes a couple hits to destroy something. And then big ultimatum AOE have high damage and range so they break a lot of things.
It doesn’t have to be perfect. The main thing is to have some variance and make it make sense. You don’t want the same items breaking at the same time every single fight. You also don’t want a big tower falling in the background because a rare champion shot someone with an arrow.
Looks great so far! I'm excited to play it.

Looking good , 1 suggestion for your shop give prime offers based on spending but sub sections for the other Levels , when playing raid I had been at points where I wanted to spend more than the offers were giving me and other times I would have bought a lower cost pack rather than what I was offered, a £10 pack night be an impulse buy where as a £50 won't be for most people but if you just got paid and want to invest in summoning for a specific god/champ you might want to spend more than it's giving you.
This needs more attention! The idea of a store based on your spending patterns is very predatory and slimy. Offering packs for all price ranges not only opens up the ability to purchase how much when we want it also eliminates the shady issues with "discounts" and "extras" that are BS most of the time anyway.
yes 100% many days I'd be down to spend 5 or 10 but the decent offers are too high in raid so I'll spend my money in other games. Then the time you are down to spend some more they only have the little offers. Any advice is to ALWAYS keep the small $3-10 dollar GOOD packs coming every day. Many people will see a 3 or 5 $ pack after work and spend it thinking its just like getting another coffee. But if u raise that price to only offering the 30$ pack because they like to buy little packs their brain will say no that's to much. If you always keep the option of the good small priced packs even when u offer the larger packs those players will still buy the coffee packs without much thought. Spending 5$ that day will not deter them from spending another $30 if they were in that mood to begin with. Just my advice. People are far more likely to spend 100$ in a month by dropping a few bucks a day. Not many gamers will drop $100 in 1-3 purchases in a month. We want some dopamine daily I would try to leverage that with the packs.

ok so actually the animations look better than i thought before, was under the impression the camera will be the issue. I still believe it BUT i feel much better now i saw the animation. This looks awesome!
Amazing progress. Every time you show this stuff off it shows a massive amount of work by the team!
I suggested this idea in the official Discord. There’s no harm in suggesting it here as well.
Godforge really needs something to set it apart from Raid. Something close, but totally different.
I think that should be live clan boss events.
Without knowing what Godforge Clan size limits are, total number of factions etc. it’s tough to break down 100% but hear me out.
If clan size is say 10 people. And perhaps factions have 30 different characters each.
Live clan boss would be perhaps Chronos but on say Raid Nightmare stats level. At say 5pm EST on a Friday the Live clan boss battle goes online for a 7 hour window.
Each clan member needs to coordinate and get online together to defeat Chronos. Clans must have a minimum of 7/10 online at once. Clan members can choose a single champion, no duplicates and the faction required to be chosen from switches weekly.
So for example Clan Alpha brings Greek Mythology champions 1, 3, 4, 12, 30, 7, 2, 25, 14, 27 to the battle against Chronos.
The battle begins and plays like a turn based system but it is 10 different players coordinating their attacks/skills to take down Chronos as quickly as possible.
When the tournament window ends the clan with the quickest take down wins top spot.
This would make being in a clan something vastly different than it is in Raid which is a lonely participation trophy system!
I think the idea is cool, but if you lock very important resource items or gear behind a timed event where not everyone can make it, it'll kill the mode entirely. If it's just for cosmetics and titles then it won't feel forced and make an option for those who want to take clans serious.

It’s much better to offer players opportunities to earn rewards than only allowing purchases of rewards.
This is a awesome idea but as a father of two I would need to be able to pick my hero option and put it in a place that a clan official could pull it into the fight if it's a better option than someone else's #DADLIFE
I would not be scared of the fact you have a shop. There is no need to apologise for it. I am a very low spender, but I will enjoy the game to its fullest. Super excited for this one.
just a note, please do make the traditional non screen shake battle view available. Some people like myself cannot play 3D games and get nausea from it. I always turn screen shake /1st person view off etc.. in any games.

Just to say(of course hard to just say something and it be implemented but) i would recommend for the shop that not to have often pop-ups like raid...can feel rather predatory of a game to do(especially with how many pop-ups raid has and also the placement of those too). Understandable about a shop in game for those who want to really support after the game's release. Looking forward to more info and also to try out the game when I can :D
The game looks like it’s definitely coming along nicely. Right now my, and I imagine a lot of people’s, concern is character balancing. It always sucks to spend so much time and so many resources just to pull a bad legendary, and I’m hoping a lot of thought and care will go into keeping older characters viable and good even as the years go by and many new ones come out.
I can't wait!! Need a new game to focus on and grind. Hope I get chosen for the beta. Think I signed up for the beta day one that one could.

Always keep listening to feedback for more polish. It will only get better that way
One other thing that would be interesting would be possibly having special dialog between certain units(i know if it is done that way to unlock certain masteries would kinda feel like a pay wall but it would give some more interest and mystery to finding those dialogs). Maybe a free amount of uses(like 3-5) for those special dialog champs so people could try them out but also find out intriguing stuff.

As someone who plays raid and played WoR for a bit i think that the drop rates between the two games are drastically different, are you planning on going more towards raid drop rates or something else? I understand it is a hard balance because you want legendaries to be rare and it to mean something when you pull one, thanks.
Agreed! Also played both and WoR makes it too easy to get the legos you want.
@@enormicon I have the opposite opinion. I played both and hate how greedy raid is with giving legos by summoning.
Making sure people understand when something isn't finished is important nowadays and it's a bit sad but anyway it's really starting to get fleshed out i love it
Excited about the potential. I am currently a low-mid spender in Raid, but am barely hanging on anymore because the company feels like they are in full opposition to the player with pricing, etc. Companies are there to make money, so I don't have a problem in that regard. I just hope that it is reasonable as Raid sure as is not.
I'm excited for the beta now.

this all looks amazing great job everyone! do me 1 favor though if you are going to have a daily quest like raid for summoning a certain number of heroes, put a button in that specifically summons that number. it's fun to click the button each time for a little while but then it just gets annoying, and having to pull 10 when you only need to pull 3 (to use raid as the example) feels like wasting resources just to avoid the extra button pressing\extra animations of each shard.

There is a very low chance you will see this. However, it would be nice to get alternate skins for the sanctum/main hub.
Let's say, I dislike the desert back ground, and would prefer a lush jungle instead.

Hey Simon … not sure if you know but in the US the term “railroading/railroaded” has a very negative connotation. I’d suggest using a different term. Maybe “funneling” or “focusing”.

I've signed up for the beta and hope to get in.
My two bits of advice would be first: to make the unit kits PERMANENTLY available in the regular pool, with the limited time chase element being either just a rate up or a cosmetic which costs premium currency outside of the debut event and its reruns.
Second: Make a special upgrade path for common rarity units that can bring them up to the performance of the legendary units once completed.
Both of these things are still being done by the game Summoners War and Raid made a huge mistake by not copying them.

The cutscene reminds me of GW2 & I really love that, the game looks better & better every time I’m hyped! I played HSR & the action camera is actually really crisp I think people will enjoy it once they try it out!
Have you considered the Ultimate fill around the player image in game play and have it glow or spark as its does when full?

Looking good so far! With regard to the shop, if I get like spending in raid I'm put off because I know this will increase the next few packs prices. I think always having a cheaper pack available is a good idea

You asked for it... The best-looking thing right now is the logo. Every champion has the creepy stare on their face. Fix their eyes for gods sake. Don't whitebox a generic home screen and summon animation that looks exactly how anyone would imagine it to be, unless it's significantly different which it does not look to be. Just have a graphic designer create an amazing visual storyboard of what the final product would look like. There is no way I can believe the beta is anywhere close to being ready, sorry.

Dont apologise for the game having a shop, we all (I hope) know that games cost money to develop and run so there has to be money made somewhere. We (speaking out of place for the whole community, sry) just hope that shop prices can be reasonable, that game features arent locked or so tough that the cash shop is mandatory, and that marketing tactics arent predatory like we see in other bad examples in this genre.
The demo looks great though and I cant wait to see the next itterations with some further polish and a lighting pass, great work!

Could you point out some mechanics that differentiates Godforge from for example Raid and WoR ? Raid is Raid and WoR has TD mechanics. Will Godforge have its own gimmick to make it stand out ?
These things will be shown nearer launch as its v easy for companies with active games to just grab them before we release

i hope camera angle can be changed as this is a very very lame angle. and I hope 2x is not the limit for battles, main RAID issue - battles take TOO MUCH TIME, too much animation (it is fun for the first week).
Couple things i hope this game does that most don't and that's in game audio having the impact match the visuals of abilities and spells. If a giant sword weilder does a big ass sword slam with a huge visual impact, make the audio impact feel like it did something and not a wet fart like Raid does, and if a champion has a shield on their back but never use it, that's disappointing. Include a spell or ability that has that champion use the shield. Makes no sense to have this cool design and then only use half the design.

I never mind spending in a game thats up front about what my chances are and dont try to handicap me at every point. No matter how much I dropped in raid or what champs I pulled, it always felt like they drew a new line in the sand

I would like to see some solution to upgrading champ skills. Preferably somehow farmable or othervise obtainable more frequently than in RSL.
I think that gaining masteries through masteries is great idea!

Are we going to be able to farm books and are you going to give people the same prices for things in the shop across the board (relative to how much they spend)?
the initial logo animation in the beginning is not smooth... needs more frames in the animation if you play it that slow.
the summon animation makes no sense - I summon a hero, but suddenly move somewhere completely else in rapid fashion? should the summoned hero not show up where I am, instead of me running/ flying / zooming somewhere else only to suddenly be back?
I have a lot of suggestions in mind but this will be the deal breaker for me: please don't make the game slower than it has to be.
UDK's foolish run might be fun the first time you see it, but not the 100th time. Shamael's slow counter animation makes him almost unusable. If it's something that your champion is going to do a lot then please make it a fast animation and a ranged attack. I hate seeing Helicath running back and forth. The animation should not be the reason that you choose one champion instead of another.
Just as a rule of thumb, if I'm going to see it thousands and thousands of times then don't waste my time needlessly. Like pulling shards and having to sit through the animation or having to click or tap to move it along. Leveling up a hero and watch the same level up animation again and again. It becomes old really fast. I can't believe that Raid waited so long to fix the moronic idea of seeing your weapons roll up and down and dozen times before finally see your weapon rolled up successfully.
If in doubt ask Saph what he thinks.
btw I hope that unlike raid, you guys TAKE ADVANTAGE of cosmetics, skins etc to make cash
this doesnt give and pay to win advantage but brings in funds

looks cleaner in the menu's then last time, nice improvement. would love to see the amount of xp displayed above level up or max level. its a small QOL but they are what you need to beat raid. as long as you don't have the same rank up system to raid by leveling 1 billions uncommon's just to get a 60 its to repettitve and mundane. keen to see the beta visuals and gameplay. although the dynamic shop offer things is a bit scummy, it targets vulnerable people.
Masteries - Are account wide? Masteries can be equipped so I assume they can be changed at will without cost. There has to be a limit - slots?

Are you guys not doing stars for the heroes, looked like it was just epic, legendary, etc. Unless I missed it on the summons.
I think for the players home screen what if you used different elements from those gods cultures...E.g. Viking longhouse for the clan hall, PVP an Roman coliseum etc..
Summon portal could be luxor temple or stone henge
Looks interesting. Like the secret room mechanic. The avatars of champs could be refined imo, fancier, realistic, using light from certain angles, like in Raid. Intrigueing concept, master something to get masteries, sounds great. Have one concern though: the "masteries for all champions", will they not remove the grind too much / be too difficult to find to compensate the fact that its for all champions?

Cool thing with our mastery concept is it’s easier to add new ones as we add more to the game. So new ways to gain more in future
I will admit, when I started watching the video, I got an interesting idea for the game that might make it interesting. Of course I went to discord and wrote it on the game idea thread. But how about a rare instance in battles where 2 of the gods or champs, whatever you call them (I play way too many games XD) and do a massive attack at the enemies.
