Mining is such a good gameplay loop right now I've had quite a few questions about it so figured I would toss it out there.

I find it best to wear the big fluffy red mining outfit with the massive backpack you can buy at any refinery. The backpack can hold all four mining gadgets.
The Optimax and the Wave's increase to clusters can't be understated. If I can I use those two to break a rock, I will every time. Only when they fail do I pull out the "big gunz" Boremax/Sabir, if those can't crack it. With the change to minimum laser power, should do a video on how important controlling your range while mining has become.
Yeah my wife and I go out in the pembroke 100% of the time while we're mining. I do plan on doing some mining tips including how to even attach gadgets because I have been getting the basics a lot. Thanks for sharing.

Outstanding. Looking forward to it. Make sure and add the "if the gadget appears smaller in your hand, put it back in the backpack before trying to attach it to a rock, or you lose it" Took me too long to learn that one.

FR-66 is not available at Port Tressler. Can confirm it can be purchased from Platinum Bay at CRU-L1 Ambitious Dream Station. I didn't check anywhere else.
The Rieger C3 has been bugged a while, giving +15% instead of +25%, making the lesser C2 at +20% the stronger option until this bug is fixed.

Just to make sure, there are no bigger mining bags for Prospector in game right now?
My xtr-XL module had no effect on my Helix laser, the charge window was impossibly tiny, like 2-3 pixels wide
Try using a waveshift. They’re expensive but are so worth it when it comes to the safety margin they provide.
I use 2. Nice big windows and not much worry about inert. Before I could afford 2 I used a Torpid, try to give it a good head start on the charge (60+) and then not worry much about the overcharge (60-) (but get far away before it cracks or blows), those were exciting days.

Atlas is a good quantum drive and is faster than the one by default. If you take a faster one so you will lose a lot of distance. So it's a good choice indeed.
