The machine itself was dope, but I feel like this video also gets the world record for worst recording of a Rube Goldberg machine.
Best comment ever xD
LOL, that's the best way to say it
I was just thinking that lmao
You can see how big and fancy the camera is at 0:46 too.
I literally came here to write the same comment!
THIS LITERALLY MISSES THE ENTIRE POINT OF THE MACHINE, I CANT SEE WHATS HAPPENING
daddy chill bri
ya there dumbasses
Well, I thought it was awesome! :-)

Edited video of a Rube Goldberg takes away from the magic.
David S. what's the song playing ?
Sure do
David S. pls watch ruclips.net/video/rsdqMN32kHg/видео.html
Yep it takes away something that's kinda hard to explain
Screenlinks are fine with me... unless they don't properly put the focus on what's going on, like here.
*LIFE IS the largest Rube Goldberg machine*
CurdledShark so true. So true
CurdledShark dang that's so true
but it's the longest, not the largest
was that weed good?
that is so true
This would be great if you didn't speed up the damn video, you can't see whats happening
I agree completely.
FrostyFooy yea I really wanted to see what happened
Exactly my thoughts too.
so RUclips has this cool thing that i use in this kind of situation in the settings that allows you to change the speed of the video your watching
click the cog and you shall find the tools you desire..
The point of a Rube Goldberg machine is to be able to follow what the machine is doing until it completes one simple task, it's impossible to follow how each part is working with the other it just looks like a bunch of random moving parts with no aim.
Like 4:10 to 4:14
how does that button knock down the dominoes?
how did that mailbox fall
@@stephenjin9368 Dang that's a 3 year old comment lol. I agree it's kind of unsatisfying looking at it now that it cuts from the button to the dominoes, I would assume they are connected but with the power of video editing you never now.

so much work went into this - just wish the camera work showed this better
Terrible camera work. Couldn't see half of what was going on.
Bruh I saw fine you just need glasses
Ikr
Not that I don't believe this was successful start to finish, but it wouldn't have been much harder to just do it in one take and capture all moving parts, while using slow-mo for the most complex parts...
Subway meet balls, hmmmmmmm
Met baaaals, HMMMMMMM!
Amazing machine, terrible video recording of it. Whoever they had videotaping really ought to have spent some time thinking about it before filming because even for someone who loves Rube Goldberg machines this was almost unwatchable.
IKR?! I could only recognize the elevator for a ball -.-
very poorly filmed. viewers miss so much of the work and intricacies that were put into the design with all the in and out movement and lack of knowledge of the way it works.
Wanted to write the exact same thing.. Ruined the whole video for me
TheRealJayGutta i agree I couldn't see anything
exactly, they shoulda painted the ball neon green at the very least.
TheRealJayGutta u try keeping up with it
look that ball is moving film it
Awesome machine filmed poorly
I thought it was good...
megamcee I
I agree with u
I was going to say
this would be a lot better if they had filmed with high speed cam and did some slomo. Its just terrible watching it.
When you have world class talent & creativity to build a record breaking device & then hire 15-year-olds from a local high school AV club to film it.... smh >_
I'm glad to see that there's a consensus on the camera work. I normally LOVE these things, but I definitely found myself bored and lost.
And all this time I've just been flicking a switch....
this is really cool and all, its just impossible to watch
Gave up watching after a minute the camera work is terrible. Merry Christmas

can you imagine how many times this has to be tested to make sure the entire thing was working properly?
Can we get a better cameraman
Josh Pescatore he is fine what are u talking about better than me XD
What they need is a better director... And a bigger budget for more cameras.
BRO SHUT UP
Better yet, can we get an actual cameraman?
Not entirely cameraman's fault, more editor/director's fault
Anyone remember the "I Spy" book that had a Rude Goldberg-like machine as one of the pictures? It was on a white background. Loved that book as a kid.
yes i loved that page
MDawg19 yes!!!!
Omg I remember those! Used to live them.!!
Ispy was turned into a TV show and that was the intro.
MDawg19 YES I stared at that picture, lol
WOW! The time and workmanship it takes for these machines is amazing.
wow...I thought it was just me. I gave up watching after about 30 seconds mostly because of the filming. (Now I see all the comments here about the bad camera work) These types of machines should be less complicated and operate at a slower pace, giving the viewer (and the cameraman) more time to follow what is actually happening. And, Rube Goldberg machines have been reinvented in so many ways...its not about being the "largest" redundant machine any more, it should be about being the most imaginative.
davescardcreations, if you want a better video, watch this one, I think it's quite good:
davescardcreations : Having an accordion in it wasn't imaginative enough for you?
@@natmongue1 There's better out there.
Me too - Creezy's Swish machine is SO MUCH more satisfying than this. This looks too industrial, whereas his is all made with backyard stuff and junk and infinitely more rewarding and fun!
unfortunately it's so poorly filmed that you can't see anything
Imagine it messes up in the end 😂😂😂
Yeah, what would really be a pain is when it messes up, they would have to reset everything on the machine before it can be run again. Resetting it would take quite a while.
that would be funny as heck.
Lol
quite a while is quite an understatement 😂

That's a very impressive secret link!
The Wee Norn Iron Woman where/what is it?
but that was two separate ones, the first one just lit up a lightbulb.
At 4:11, you can see two wires coming from the light stand. One has to be power. The other probably leads outside.
Soooo bad filming
Edvin -blind
Edvin you try keeping up with that
It is bad
bet your filming sucks too is that why you got no videos i know my filming and editing sucks thats why i have no videos and am going back to school to improve them
Wtf? Why would you respond that way when someone points something out that could be improved?
Most of the time I had no idea what was going on because of the camera

oh ok I'll check it out
I got incredibly bored half-way through and just skipped to the end... The worst part is how accelerated te video is, I could barely keep up
l
Really needed a slow-mo camera...or four
or don't speed up the video. It's not this fast.
out of all the other videos in connexus this one is the best
Janitor walks in, ohh hell no I quit.😂
would have been more fun to watch if they didn't speed up the video.
why are y’all complaining..
how can you expect someone to film something of such scale?
I wonder if they didn't deliberately have very strict access rules considering how much work could be ruined with one careless cameraman.
This was uploaded on my birthday
I am from Latvia i see this, that was awesome so cool😁😁😀😀😀😁😁😀😀:30
Congratulations on the work, the idea congratulations, the taxpayer, the engineers, very well thought, very well analyzed, a very splendid work; Simply fantastic very good indeed!
Happy merry Christmas to every one that was watching the Rube Goldberg.
Or you could just push the button
Sean Hiseman you must be fun at partys
Genius! So creative. Incredible investment of time, ingenuity, design. Thank you!!
This is an accurate representation of me just trying to get from point A to point B .
That was so fast cameraman could not even keep up
so great efforts dear
Thx Philip
Perhaps a rolling dolly or track for the camera would have been a good idea.

I want an OK go music video where its a Rube Goldberg machine playing the instruments.
Dylan Smith thats already a thing
Loading Name I meant playing the instruments, not just as a part of the video. I've seen that video and I know that's a thing.
oh ok

got very creative and i just love to see people have fun doing that and they thought of doing something great. i am very impressed
It all started as a mad magazine cartoon..
You guys do realise this is speeded up.
That was satifiying
This was recorded by a drone with AI tracking/filming software, it is not a "cameraman" lmao
what about the guy's reflection in the windows holding a camera that you can see for most of the video?
