    Great jump back to 16:9. Not many movies use the format, but when they do.... wow! I swear by it. Not sure why people limit themselves to one format when you can mask and achieve the same thing.

      definitely! i'm just stoked that i can keep the same scope size screen with masking but will also benefit from the extra screen height for 16:9 & 4:3 content. i didn't get as much done today as i would have preferred but the new 156" screen is in the works! imgur.com/gL7VlSG

      Jonathan Lindhome looks great! That will feel like your own IMAX screen- especially from the back row with that floor depth. Man I can’t wait to do that. Thanks for posting

      i have a feeling i might end up sending 1 (or 2?) back. but i'd prefer have all 3 to test with while making that decision.

    How are the seats holding up?
    I ordered a row of 5 for my living room (hardly a theater but I have an OLED TV and 5.0.2 audio system) so they will be sat in every day.
    I wish I had a basement to actually do this one day! but alas, in FL a basement is a myth.

      so far they're great, no issues, still quite comfortable. for what they cost it's a great value imo.

      @@aaromon43 Cool! It's the first furniture I ever bought new, the fact that they are real leather was enough to make me take the plunge.

    Hey Jonathan, I have been following your awesome build videos for over a year now. Great content! I recently purchased an Epson 2150 and have been struggling to decide what screen to build. Based on your experience with this same projector, what would you recommend for a somewhat budget conscious situation with a little ambient light? Thanks in advance!!!

    • @aaromon43
      @aaromon43  4 года назад +2

      not enough room to motorize sadly, but i think what i have in mind will work great. i'll definitely share that once i get it setup.

    • @aaromon43
      @aaromon43  4 года назад +1

      is there anything you'd specifically like to know? i think the speaker is incredible in reproducing voice/dialogue for movies.

      No I just wanted to see a video about one because I don’t find any on RUclips wanted to see the performance on one on video

    Are u going with the PSA surround speakers as well? If not what do u use as surrounds?

    • @aaromon43
      @aaromon43  4 года назад +2

      yes i'll probably upgrade to psa or jtr surrounds eventually. right now i'm using cheap fluance speakers but they do a great job. have just been focusing my efforts elsewhere so far.

    What was the reasoning for switching back to 16:9?

    • @aaromon43
      @aaromon43  4 года назад +1

      Scope films stay the same size. All I'm doing is adding height back.

    Looks great man! Congrats! Can’t wait to see it done. I picked up some PSA speakers myself and I love them. Check my room out on my channel if u have time. It’s not as good as urs but I’m happy with it so far

    • @aaromon43
      @aaromon43  4 года назад +1

      subscribed! i love seeing other home theaters. and this isn't a competition, i'm just trying to squeeze every last ounce of performance out of the space i have for this hobby. btw, be careful with the speakers. they can effortlessly turn up so loud your ears will ring the next day. i just love that you can listen at reference volume and never worry about hurting them (and they sound great too!).

    • @Bateman61405
      @Bateman61405 4 года назад +1

      Jonathan Lindhome same thats why I love them. The clip of mad max at reference on my channel of course doesn’t do the sound justice. It sounds soooo good!
