    @lofi.samurai723 4 месяца назад +14

    I think a lot of people are confused on what an industry plant is, he has ties to Columbia and other music people in the industry, his overnight success is not organic and is being pushed heavily.
    Just because you make music for years doesn't make you immune to being an industry plant.
    Shit aint even that serious to him and its probably more of an experiment than trying to be an actual artist, hence why he just does the laziest thing possible and bites off yeat. His mixes are objectively really bad too, buddy needs to get a different engineer.

    Ok so we have to be honest here.. If you respect a culture respect it.. Rap isn’t a thing based on numbers and it’s a lot of falsifying going on.. Ian is LITERALLY a mockery of the culture itself.. He’s not a “passionate” Artist, he’s an opportunist, which is ok but at this point we just stopped even using TRUE meanings to “distort” what the truth….
    And truthfully Ian hasn’t been an underground artist most of his career.. Underground means UNSIGNED… You CANNOT be apart of a major label AND be an underground artist… He’s what Batz is and honestly ALOT of rap now.. People put there to push a specific message.. Ian’s a mockery of black culture in terms of he’s rapping like he had a struggle while showing he’s had none.. Then if they can make him SOUND black enough he sells..
    He like most of the “underground’s” now are signed to majors and in HONESTY couldnt and never would be looked at as above or even in comparison to the underground artist ACTUALLY talented enough to gain traction without marketing stats that match album budget…

      @@6ixStories Him be true to himself cause THATS what hip hop and rap is… We don’t rap about the trap and stuff “cause it’s cool” it’s most of our daily experiences we SEE even if we don’t do it ourselves as Black Americans.. If you’ve never heard of him look up Marlon Craft.. He’s a PRIME example of how you should correctly approach rap if you’re not actually from the streets… Display your TALENT.. Music can be GREAT without a SINGLE word on drugs OR struggles and even today while we can say “The lil baby’s and Moneybagg Yos ARE popular” they STILL say the Big 3 is Dot Cole Kendrick.. Because they BARELY rap the bs the industry would like to sell to people as “the black life”, cause we ARE more than that..
      Another good person I LOVE to point out is Mac Miller who when he first came out make “cool funny frat songs” with like Asher Roth, one day he asked Snoop “I really respect rap and I just want to understand why people don’t respect me in the culture”.. Snoop told him “Cause you’re making music not made for hip hop and calling it rap.. This music is a historic record of Black American struggles, and while you may hear it and just said that’s catchy ima rock to it, for blacks it NEEDS a TRUE message”…
      If all artist understood that they’d last and make it.. But that’s why MAJORITY of rappers don’t even have 5 years runs.. And cause CONSTANTLY hearing stuff of no substance minus “it’s catchy and makes me move” Will fade..

      If he could just focus on things like “I was tryna do stuff to be cool even if it wasn’t true” well even that in itself is better than rapping about a struggle you don’t have..
