Sam and Jacob are giving proud Dad energy and I love it!
As much as I loved Bailey the first season it does feel like Delaney has always been here the whole time.
I think her serene, sweet personality vibes better with them..
Someone said maybe this is what Claudia really looked like as Louis is recalling his memories, and it made sense for me. Loved Bailey, but Delaney has seamlessly fitted in.

I was SOO happy when I started the first episode first expecting it take time before I warmed up to her, but straight away i felt Claudia and nothing has been off ever since. I usually get turned off by cast swithes but she may have just changed that.

I didn’t think Claudia could look younger and even more innocent. But Delaney Brings that. We know she’s close to 40 at this point but at the back of that van with the only family she has.. you can see how truly young and vulnerable Claudia truly it. It’s amazing!

I truly wonder how old she is. She holds herself up in the interview as a mature 20-25 year old lady. But she looks younger in the show. Black don’t crack straight up. but I’m curious how old she is. Great addition to the show. I’m guessing she’s 20.

I'm obsessed with the books and I really love Jacob as Louis. Louis was never a favorite for me growing up reading these books. I'd roll my eyes and wonder what all the fuss was about, like vamps were so shallow everyone falls in love with this depressing emo guy just because he's beautiful. But Jacob brings so much to this role, makes him relatable. He has given me an appreciation for Louis I never had before.

Sam is the best actor in the show so it would have been a huge mistake for the studio to leave him out of season 2. Hopefully we get a season about Lestat.

@@NolanB91 Is this going to be a different show or Season 3? I love when a show switches its main character focus between seasons (when done well).
I think that they should give a back story to Lestat and how he and Armand came to know one another. Because they have more history, and I think it would bring more intrigue to the story. It would be great to see more of that in a season 3.
@NolanB91 I just hope that the lestat season doesn't turn into another love story. 2 seasons of romance is already enough. I hope that they focus on the actual story.
I missed Bailey Bass when I was watching the first episode. But I enjoyed Delainey Hayles performance. Her version was strong, endearing, and sympathetic too. Also, as far as the cast, I think it's sweet that Sam and Jacob are so supportive of Delainey joining the cast as the new Claudia it must be really awkward for her to be the last minute replacement. But they were both such gentlemen to her and going out of their way to compliment her acting and making her feel welcome and appreciated, it's so cute! 🤭💕

I'm not going to cry but at the end louis looks down and realizes Claudia is holding his hand for the first time in years. The last time was the burning of Antoinette. It's the details and Easter eggs.

Although Lestat is in louis head, there is truth in the way he looked at Claudia. The actor Sam said as he was being poisoned by Claudia and listening to her gloat, his character developed a new father like respect. As he put it, Claudia truly felt like his daughter that's why he couldn't take his eyes off of her. Even as she stomped Antoinettes' face, his eyes stayed on his daughter, Sam says. It was a twisted pride he felt. He also felt nothing for Antoinette as her eyes were pleading with him.
I liked it cuz it felt more like an epilogue to the last season, really kicking things off nicely

Love these actors and every actor from both seasons. Bailey was wonderful as the fledgling vampire. But Delainey is great as the current Claudia. She brings a kind of dark energy/intensity/gravitas that is very suitable for Claudia.

Love the amazing chemistry that they have,the acting of all the cast is so on point
First, I just wanna say I loved Bailey’s Claudia. Delainey also brings so much to Claudia’s character. The chemistry between them all so perfectly encapsulates the tragedy of Louis, Lestat & Claudia’s family. In another life, they’d have stayed together forever. The scene of Lestat looking sadly at Claudia, like he regrets how he treated her. Just magnificent! They deserve all the Emmy’s! I’d love it if season 3 has both Bailey & Delainey to show the struggle Louis has with his memory.
No diss on Bailey bass but this actor is far better for the role. In my opinion I wish she was also in the first season. Claudia took me out of the magic euphoria I felt in the first season once she showed. I understand the plot and the reason she acted that way but I just didn’t think it was a great job. But this actor just seems much more developed as Claudia.

I will admit, from the trailers I wasn't sure Delainey Hayles was a good choice. Having watched the first episode of the new season, I can happily say she's phenomenal! I'm looking forward to the rest of the season. This scene overall was amazing, from the visuals to the music to the acting.
With the performance that Bailey Bass gave as Claudia, I really didnt believe Delainey would be able to mimic it but my God was I wrong. I also feel like the change of Claudias actress was a bit necessary in a strange way because what happened at the end of season one changed Claudia drastically and this sort of mirrors that change. Im overly impressed with Delainey's performance as Claudia and I cant wait to see more.
Sam and Jacob acted like a stepdads to Delainey when praising her on her acting in season two which is sweet thing to do. I didnt know she is a Brit. I am surprises Jacob doesn't look at his acting in the show and feel what a good job hes doing because he and Sam are amazing.
These two. Delaney is truly doing amazing! A great start. Also Sam and Jacob being Sam and Jacob. Just the married couple they are in interviews. Seriously high high praise for all of them!

Okay, so last night’s IWTV Season 2 premiere was amazing! This scene in particular was heartwarming…..to have someone say to you that you are enough is beyond beautiful….even if their actions later contradict those words. And a lil off topic, I love the way they are dressed normal, not fancy or Hollywood at all. They really want you to experience & enjoy the show not just sell/promote themselves as actors. Rolin Jones hit the jack pot with this cast! Assad and Eric are also exceptional cast members!😘👏🏽👍🏽💕🌺🧛♀
When this show just came out, I went to IMDB to read the reviews.
Like always people would put a lot of time and effort in writing down their opinion.
A few weeks back, I went there to find out when the second season is going to start.
Found a lot more new reviews, but most of them were incredibly tedious and infuriating ... the same LGBTQ+ conspiracy bs.
People are constantly b*tching about how there is nothing really good and innovative out there to watch, but then something truly brilliant like this show is coming along and they are trying to tear it down.
We all are so lucky that more and more studios and producers are willing to invest in such risky projects.
The reason why so many people disliked the 1994 movie is, because it depicted some of Hollywood's finest as GAY vampires ... that movie is a f*cking masterpiece, the special effects, the requisites, the acting - top notch, it deserved way more recognition.
IMDB and so many others aren't just websites for fans by fans anymore, people care increasingly about the score on those pages ... that's why fans like us need to engage more actively (social media!) to help these kind of projects to succeed.
I was worried because Claudia got recasted the character would feel so different, but Delainey looks so much like Bailey it doesn't take me out of it. And she did blow me away in the first episode.

I think she might be both but I think it's pretty understandable given this is her first big TV project where she has to do all this promo, her and Assad are more used to working in theater so it must be quite overwhelming to have to do all these interviews

I almost stopped watching the show because of how they glossed over what happened to Claudia when she was on her own and met that other vampire.
Louis's words are worthless. Even in such a heartfelt moment, he only thinks about the other person. He's just lying puppy who wants to go home to his master's leg. Poor Claudia, there is a long road of disappointment ahead of you.

Jacob was telling Sam that what he was going to mention wasn’t about Sam, he was talking about the scene in the truck. They seem fine to me, just tired. Jacob was a bit delirious towards the end and had trouble with the close. They’re still laughing and enjoying themselves. They clearly had a lot of behind the scenes stuff they wanted to talk about. I wish there wasn’t a short time limit.
I wouldn't read too much into it. Delainey is a theatre performer so I imagine she is adapting to the press interviews. I think Sam is perhaps tired, but Jacob has such pure golden retriever energy. I love how much they are supporting Delainey.
Noticed it too. Jacob was snippy in a couple of interviews. He seems tired. I also think he wants to go home to his family and he’s tired of doing the promo tour. Both of them look tired to be honest. Pretty sure they’re over it and ready to go home.

I love Delainey version of Claudia better than the other actress, in my opinion. She felt more alive and less monotone.
And from watching episode one, I know I will love this season more than season one.
I know Claudia, Armand will be my favorite. And I can't wait to see Santiago and theatre of the vampire.
I do hope in season two I will begin to like Lestat. But as of now, he is my least favorite In the show (but I love him in the books and in the movie with Tom Cruise).
Ah, but we haven't actually met Lestat yet.
In Season 1 it was Lestat from Louis' perspective as unreliable narrator, and from Claudia's diaries. We can see from the first episode in Season 2, what she wrote in her diaries wasn't necessarily the full scope of her true thoughts and feelings.
In Season 2, the apparition of Lestat is also more Louis than Lestat. It is how Louis imagines Lestat would act. Likely we'll also get Lestat according to Armand.
Season 3 is when I hope we finally get Lestat according to Lestat. I can't wait. ^_^
