One thing I wish they did with both XY and ORAS is they gave the gym leaders battle intro sprites like Calem/Serena, Shauna, Tierno, Trevor, Lysandre, etc. It would’ve given them more character in my opinion than just their art.
Epic Infernape exp share doesn’t make it more difficult, it only makes leveling easier. You can just earn back levels with grinding and still beat them easily

Pokemon X was my very first pokemon game. I remember not knowing so much about Pokemon but ever since i started to learn more about it, I became a Pokemon fan. I also used to have Fennekin as my first ever starter but then i later switched it to Froakie because of Greninja. So yeah but anyways, this game brought back memories how it got me started into being a fan of Pokemon.
To me this one is really memorable. You can still make it harder by turning off the exp share, but i always thought the difficulity of a pokemon game doesn’t matter, i just want to see the world. Mega evolution is imo a really good system and it really saddened me they finally removed it, fairy type was also really fun when i use it for the first time. This is also the first true 3d pokemon game and the world itself is beautiful. The things that i found lacking is the story(except the old guy in the end, his story is really sad), and i found team flare as a wasted potential. The battle mason was fun, but not as good as battle frontier. I really find this game has a lot of potential, but flopped a bit and don’t take the chances.

Let's start with the Fanbase first, we were hyped because it was the first pokemon game on the 3DS, it came after the DS era which had Gen 5 with its amazing story, Gen 2's great remake, Gen 4 which had older players return to play the game and it's story, and not to mention all the great side games like Mystery Dungeon, Conquest, and Ranger. Now on GameFreak's part, they themselves became genwunner's and if you've seen how they did Gen 6 & 7 then it's quite obviously they were trying to get older fans back with mega evolution for alot of Gen 1's pokemon heck there was hardly any megas for gen 6 pokemon *the Gen it was introduced in* (since we're only talking about Gen 6 I won't talk about Gen 7), the story was... How should I say it boring and non-existent like the only reason the evil team was there because they somehow neded to have the player charcter get the box legendary (and yes there is AZ and the cannon but it's like they stopped caring or ran out of time or something) not to mention this also came after Gen 5's BW2 great story and they had no post game content, speaking of evil team's let's talk about Team Flare, what the heck was Game Freak thinking making this team just look at them, even team skull is better made then these guys were, now last but not least the gym leader, how did we get from Gen 5 with their Gym leaders having lives outside of their gyms to Gen 6 with them no longer having lives outside of their gyms? How did we get gen 5 having gym leaders actually playing a role in the story to Gen 6 with them no longer being important? These were some of the biggest complaints we fans had on Gen 6. So it ain't underatted, it's just not talked about much, if i remember XY sold more copys's then BW did so yeah

Weird fact: The worst dual type is Ice/Rock. The best dual type is Steel/Fairy. The worst triple type is Grass/Bug/Ice, followed by Normal/Rock/Ice. The best triple type is a tie between Electric/Steel/Flying (which is only weak to fire), Steel/Dragon/Fairy (which is only weak to ground), and Steel/Dragon/Flying (which has no weaknesses at all). Really proves Ice is the worst type and Steel is the best type.

Clemont anime is a really good character, just like most of the main character in kalos anime. But game clemont...is just there, like brock and misty game.
While the battles were easy, I loved the characters and the music. To me, the music, cutscenes, characters, and character designs were the best of X and Y, but the gameplay and sometimes models were terrible. Gen 6 wasn't better than Gen 5 or 4 or 7, but I will say it's better than how Gen 8 looks already
I never played x and y because my 3ds broke. Viola is my fav. She uses the bug type and is the first female bug catcher. Sigh... I really want female bug catchers like me

What if I told you that I used TWO Eeveeloutions on X? A Sylveon and a Glaceon. Some people Call me an absolute madlad. But here's my team anyway: Delphox Talonflame (Yup. Two Fire types) F!Meowstick Glaceon Sylveon Blastoise I know it pretty much sucks.
Fennekin and Bulbasaur is the best starter choice, because a Fire-type and a Grass-type is a great team synergy. Chespin and Charmander is not as good because the first gmy is a Bug-type one and so you need the Fire type for that gmy. Fennekin can deal with Bug-types, Ice-types, and Steel-types for Bulbasaur, and Bulbasaur can deal with Water-types, Rock-types, and Ground-types for Fennekin.
Figured out how to make them harder. 3 pokemon only No healing items Only use pokemon that the opposing attacks and users attacks are neutral (e.g. Fire vs. Clemont, psychic against Grant)
Ah yes. My Pokemon X experience. I was so clueless of type advantages and such. My friend always gave me overleveled Pokemon and did the gyms for me. Doing the gyms by myself was a nightmare. I loved the game and was so excited for Xerneas. Bad news is, it broke down. I couldn't go any further after beating Valerie and I never opened the game since. Moving on to when I got Sword, I have to say, it was very "handicapped." Once you knew the Pokemon, it told the type advantages every time you got into a battle. I did a lot of max raid battles and grinded a lot. I felt so good about myself and felt like I had gone so far. Eventually, I became the champion and went straight to catching Zacian. I feel so accomplished. I'm doing Lets Go Eevee right now and I'm only halfway through.
If Valerie have a mega mawile, then she wouldn't be crushed by lucario In fact if every gym leader have a mega, higher level and a better moveset (unlike Tierno's roserade) then the game would have a proper difficulty

Fennekin and Bulbasaur is the best starter choice, because a Fire-type and a Grass-type is a great team synergy. Chespin and Charmander is not as good because the first gmy is a Bug-type one and so you need the Fire type for that gmy.
Fennekin can deal with Bug-types, Ice-types, and Steel-types for Bulbasaur, and Bulbasaur can deal with Water-types, Rock-types, and Ground-types for Fennekin.

Figured out how to make them harder.

No healing items
Only use pokemon that the opposing attacks and users attacks are neutral (e.g. Fire vs. Clemont, psychic against Grant)

Ah yes. My Pokemon X experience. I was so clueless of type advantages and such. My friend always gave me overleveled Pokemon and did the gyms for me. Doing the gyms by myself was a nightmare. I loved the game and was so excited for Xerneas. Bad news is, it broke down. I couldn't go any further after beating Valerie and I never opened the game since. Moving on to when I got Sword, I have to say, it was very "handicapped." Once you knew the Pokemon, it told the type advantages every time you got into a battle. I did a lot of max raid battles and grinded a lot. I felt so good about myself and felt like I had gone so far. Eventually, I became the champion and went straight to catching Zacian. I feel so accomplished. I'm doing Lets Go Eevee right now and I'm only halfway through.
The game design and bgm in XY were so good. I honestly prefer it to SwSh
If Valerie have a mega mawile, then she wouldn't be crushed by lucario
In fact if every gym leader have a mega, higher level and a better moveset (unlike Tierno's roserade) then the game would have a proper difficulty
How i get eevee in x/y game series?
Only somewhat challenging leader in x y was Valerie and that’s a stretch even… shame because I loved x and y but my oh my were they easy games
