Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the most popular treks in Nepal. The trail is breathtakingly beautiful and you come across the views of the Machapuchare and Annapurna South.
My total spendings on ABC were approx. NPR 20k (Kathmandu to Kathmandu), which comes down to INR 12,500. The best part was we did the entire trek without any support :)
So yes, going here alone or without a guide is possible.
Some details regarding the cost are given below -
1. Permits: TIMS card can be purchased in Kathmandu and Pokhra for NPR 1,000
2. Buses are available from Pokhara airport to Ghandruk, however, I reached late in the evening and took a taxi instead
3. Maps.Me, an offline map, is the most useful app if you are planning to do this trek on your own

Very informative vlog. I did the ABC trek in 1997. Expenses came to around Rs 4,000 INR without guide or porter. At that time, no permits were required for Indians.

Is there any place to stay overnight between Dovan n Machapuchare because the distance is quite long n also there is a huuuge dif. between the altitudes of these 2 places which is not ideal for proper acclimitization

Absolutely love your videos radhika. And hopefully you enjoyed your trip here in Nepal. There is a diverse culture in the route from gurungs in Ghandruk to Magars in Poon hill and finally sherpas in ABC. Hoping they were very welcoming and you loved your stay there!

@@Radhika_Nomllers you are always welcome here! You can trek to larkhe pass or thorang la pass which are few of the challenging trails here. Or EBC is always on the card. Sad that you didn’t spend time in Pokhara. It’s kind of like Goa and i think you would have loved your stay here.
EBC is on the cards for sure :) Definitely coming back and staying for longer

20k NPR now a days won't be possible, covid has increased costing of everything.
I know this is 6 months old comment but how much hike in price we should take into account ?
@@heretolearn9561 depends on many factors.. from Kathmandu to Kathmandu if u'll go solo and complete in 6days, will cost you approx 10k INR.
Include to and fro flight cost of reaching Kathmandu too from Delhi will cost you another 10-15k.
