It’s actually a reference to an earlier interpretation of Forgotten called Rhinestone, you can look it up and listen to the second verse, it’s fairly similar 😁

mike's lyrics literally fucking astound me. i've tried songwriting but one of my biggest flaws is i give up to easily and i honestly have no idea how he does what he does. he's an incredible talent

It's not that I don't like hip-hop, it's just that modern hip-hop aren't worth listen to when beautiful work like these exist.
Agreed. Hip-hop nowadays is trash, and I am a hip-hop lover! Music as a whole now is sad; I feel the last good year in music was 2012.

I agree, I love Linkin Park, but seriously, anyone with just a little knowledge of music can see that this is easily their best album. The atmosphere and feeling of this collection of songs just give me the chills every time.

imo, the remixes in the reanimation album was much superior then the original. They just did such a good job on them

The sample sounds so much like "No Man's Land"(1987, starring Charlie Sheen) soundtrack. It was composed by Basil Pouledouris and it's awesome. So nice to hear that sound here😎

Fucking nostalgic...This album has great memory of me. My childhood. I was lonely, don't have anyone. Went to school everyday, and gone home, locked myself in my room, play these songs, all LPs.
Really, back then LP was my friend, fill my loneliness. Sometimes, when I listen to their old songs, it bring back my loneliness feeling that gave me chill. Terrifying and soothing at the same time.

Loved the sound. The tempo, the beat, the soft keyboard melody, the melancholic chorus & the rhythmic flow of Mike Shinoda. This piece was cooked just right.
Reanimation was the first album I ever purchased, I was only 9 when it dropped. The transformer on the front was what caught my attention. I still listen to it frequently.

The Alchemist helped to produce this track. I bet most of you have heard his stuff with DiLated Peoples and Action Bronson.
i was 10 years old, sitting infront of the speakers listening to this album my mom bought me because she thought it was some robot anime CD. i always thought this song was called "Figure 10". I only realised today that it's "Forgotten". I'm 28 now.
This felt like a whole movie with major plot twists. I like how this song gives a creepy an unnerving presence and the last rap part was immpecable. The beat sounds like something you'd hear when you look into the distance during sunset, sunrise, or moonrise an sunset it is so cool.
I remember when i was a kid. Im always waiting this song to play on MTV just to see this amazing reanimation. ❤️
