If you want to remove create machines faster (plus most Redstone components) shift+right click with the wrench and it will drop them in your inventory (saying this so you save durability on pickaxes)
can also be used to turn the train around, even though i'm not sure on the keys

Two tips, the roller can replace blocks under your track and has other features. Tip 2, placing a train controller on both sides of the seat allows for fast speed in both directions.

If you hold glue in your offhand while building a train (or any Create mod contraption), it will automatically glue the block you placed onto the contraption. Hope this helps.
This uses a lot more durability than manually gluing all the blocks together

The problems with this:
1. Holding glue in the of hand while placing blocks, it works like how glue did in create 0.4 and under
2. Use A Lot of durability so unless you hace pultiple glues or a glue with unbreaking and mending it gets very annoying.
3.the new glueing method (corner to corner) is much more efficient, all you need to do is place temporary blocks from one corner and then the oposit corner (like the bottem front left corner and the back top right corner) and this only uses one durability but you need to make sure it's not to big and you account for trapdorrs and stuff.
I see you have used Bells and whistle. Also, a tip for your train, install dave's Building extention and replace the crushing wheels for andesite boilers, there cheaper and look better and if you want to keep the flywheels then mabey install extending flywheels to make them spin

Another Fun Fact: you can hold blocks in your off-hand while placing train tracks and it will put the blocks under the tracks when you lay them.

a tip for future glue endeavors, put a block on the bottom corner, and another on the opposite corner, glue all together and then get rid of it, the glue wont dissaper but anything on that box will be alredy glued.

You made a bueatiful steam locomotive. I have observed it's wheel configuration is a 2-4-0 type so you've made a Porter Type. Yes i know that the main driving wheels don't move but that doesn't matter to me. What matters is that you've made something bueatiful as well as a bueatiful tunnel bore. Also a recommendation for the tunnel bore, you use a Vault for storage of blocks that you drill out.

@@doublesal I forget what it's called but you should also develop a system in order to drop off all the blocks that have been collected from the tunnel bore so you don't break the vault or have to dismantle the entire train contraption in order to remove the materials inside.
11:18, I think they call it a train plow. Meant for helping to clear things like snow and small debris off the tracks and stuff. Also, I don't know if the mod makers thought of this or not, but if you want to speed up the train rides back to the station, you could always build a roundabout or maybe a big loop on both ends so that the train can simple turn itself around and make the trip too and from at full speed. That's how it works for traon depots in in the real world, so why can't it be done in the game?

@@doublesal It'll have to be either really big, or have multiple points on it so you can load and turn multiple cars onto the main engine, like I said, it works in the real world. So why can't it be translated into the game somehow, I mean sure that's easier said then done. But I have a good feeling about this. Just imagine, not just a train station, but an entire steampunk depot, where you can load up on all sorts of resources from all over, maybe even a depot that can be set up in the Nether and End, one day.
It’s called a cow catcher
You should use the roller on the places where you arent going to put bridges and make it out of gravel or something. Then you can put a combination of drills and deployers to create your tunnels. After that you should just have to go inside and light them up but you could use a deployer for that too but you would use soooooo many resources!

I always put a second train control on my train be course backing up goes slow. With the second one, its just as if u go forward, only u are backing up with the speed of the forward going.
Tip: Put a barrel with coal and a furnace on the train will make it even go faster. It wont go as fast as in "back to the future"

If you make a curve or slope made of track, holding Ctrl will make the curve smoother.
Bonus information you can instant break things with your wrench without using your durability.
I'll remember this when making a rollercoaster!
you should make a trolleybus using gantry shafts to mimic the wires that hang above it (and so that it can move while still looking realistic)
you should try to change the style of the bogeys instead of using a bunch of flywheels on the side of the train. it will look better and also move with the train, making it look sick as hell :D also, would be cool if you used large tracks instead of normal ones, since your train is 5 blocks large.

if i remember correctly placing tracks with blocks in your offhand should place both the blocks and the tracks, its been a while so maybe im wrong but it might be faster

Oh! Since you’re gonna have to do the path for the train anyhow, why not use one of those mechanical rollers? There’s a function that can allow you to create a path, so it saves a lotta time :)

Loved the video @doublesal! Can't wait for the next video man! Now I'm fully Caught up with this Series and Ready for more man! When you Reach the Ocean, Build a Harbor with Ships of all Types and Sizes and A Village, Town or City for the Train to Stop at and either Pick up or Deliver Items or Transport Mobs. You might want to Capture Makima from Chainsaw Man and see if she'll come along for some Time out of town with you man. Build a Dinning Car, a Sleeper Car a Normal Passenger Car and Maybe a Freight Car or Two to move Various Goods and Items around the World of Minecraft.
Little known Tip: you can make the Train go Faster if you have a Coal Tender filled with either Coal or Charcoal. I think you have to Press the Spacebar to do that but I'm not sure so don't quote me on that.
Another tip is for Gluing Builds together, Most Players will Place a Block on 3 Corners of the Build to cover the Entire Length, Width and Height of the Build when using the Superglue. Once that's done, the Blocks are just removed since the Build is completely Glued Together.

You can create turn around for your train lines. Tear-drop like shapes
if you are reading late comments JUST KNOW CREATE STEAM AND RAILS (a mod thats in the pack from the looks alone) has many types of boggies (ie the trains wheel sets) for you to use just hold control or alt.
I think you could use the Extended Flywheels add-on to rotate the Flywheels on the Trains...

I think you should make the engineer's goggles very soon, because it can show you how much stress units/power your making on the machines you build. like the steam engine for example.
something I want to admit about your content, as for why I want to admit it idk, call it honesty I guess. But as much as I usually dont like this style of video, the kind targeted to younger viewers with the explanations of whats going on screen with very little breaks and the "youtube" tone of voice (dont take that as offense please thats just a very umbrella term I made up just now that basically means a very energetic tone), but your videos are one of the few that I can digest of this style. Its genuinely like watching someones thought process when working with create vocalized. Like a developers documentary but with minecraft. I cant wait to see more of this series as a personal inspiration for my own minecraft worlds, create and vanilla, mister double sal snow man :) can't wait to see whats next for your minecraft world

That's actually the common name for it; The official term is a pilot just to make things more confusing. Cow catcher is definitely simpler, though.
You should place some new train controls on the opposite side so you can go fast both ways
