HOW TO SUBLIMATE CLEAR HOLOGRAPHIC STICKERS

- As usual I was goofing around in my studio, trying new substrates. When I stumbled upon a way to sublimate clear holographic stickers! These are not only smudge proof, but they are water resistant and highly durable. You can use them for a variety of purposes, and today I’m sharing how you can use them to make beautiful Christmas ornaments! (Stay tuned for more ideas on how you can incorporate these stickers in your craft projects)

Please note:
I want to say that not all laminate sheets are created equal and sometimes even from the same brands there are variations. I have since continued more testing and I found the brand that gave me the most consistent results was TeckWrap, and I've updated the link below. I also found that depending on the holographic designs the results varied. So please do a test with your materials and adjust times, temps as needed because other factors go into the end results, paper, ink, heat press etc.

thanks for the video. I tried but had the wrong holographic sheets. Luckily I saw on your website which one I had to buy and I saw that it was also for sale in the Netherlands. So I ordered it quickly and I can't wait until I receive it. One more question. At what setting do you print the ornaments? I work with a sawgrass printer myself and I can choose which material I want to print it on, but I don't see a laminate sheet there. Hence my question on which setting do you print the ornaments? Because they are really beautiful on you.
My laminate was not good because the colors did not turn out well and it also stuck to my paper. But now I bought teckwrap.
It works!!! I had the teckwrap holographic now en now it works great. thank you for this video. I think I will make a lot of those ornaments.
I do not mean to sound foolish, but how did you put the laminate over top of the stickers again before you put it on the press? And where did you find these designs? They’re beautiful.
If someone were to hang this in their window, how long would you expect it to last with UV exposure?
Is there a way to make stained glass earrings that you can kinda see the light coming through, using Cricut?
Regarding holographic paper, is it sub paper? Or just holographic vinyl? And your just placing the print side down on sub sticker print paper when placing in heat press?

I did mirror the design on my printer dialog screen but not in cricut design space. :)
Thank you so much for this video. I have some acrylic blanks that said they were supposed to be sublimation but are not. They warp and the end result isn’t great. I was so bummed I couldn’t use them for what I had planned. This is a great workaround idea.
What size did you make for your Print then Cut area, if you wouldn’t mind sharing please?

How do you get the overlay to not melt in the press?? Tried it twice and melted together both times and miserably failed…
