I love learning about the biological differences between men and women. It is fascinating even the tiniest of differences. Women's and men's foot structures are different. If you research male-to-female transitioning, you will learn all the physical differences. Men and women even have differences in skin structure.
The biology can't read the mind. I'm a male I know it and I'm proud of it, I'm a woman at the same time because my preferred sex is lesbian sex, but I'll also bisexual Because I like vaginal sex to I am not gay because I don't use my female for anal and oral sex. What does your biology say about that
@Robert Stephenson this clip was talking in generals, not rare exceptions to rules but the rule itself. Also, it was a little tongue in cheek - a kind of light hearted discussion.
@Robert Stephenson Oh, okay. I was genuinely confused what you were trying to say. In the full interview, he addresses the intersex issue in some depth.
I'm glad they mentioned that these are somewhat generalizations. For my entire life, including my now 18 years of motherhood, I feel like I've become functionally deaf when absorbed in something, like reading, drawing, cooking, or just thinking. This trait has actually caused me much grief because it made me feel less than in some way, as though I wasn't paying attention because I didn't care. Like it's ok for men to be "in the zone", but if a woman is hyper focused she's selfish. That hurts.
I used to teach at an all-girls’ school, which once hosted a psychologist whose specialty was brain research. I told her that when I was in college (early ‘70s) some people held virtually as dogma that except for anatomical differences, men and women were exactly the same and that all differences that manifested over time were culturally engendered and therefore neither necessary nor natural. I then asked if modern brain research had borne that out. She smiled wistfully and said, “Yeah, we really wanted to believe that back then. I guess if that were true, we’d all be ‘equal’ - whatever that means.” She then went on to enumerate some of the inherent differences, many of which Jason mentions in this clip. Incredible how some “liberals” still cling to the old ways of thinking, which proves something I realized back in the’80s: the trouble with liberals is that they’re usually so far behind the times.
I'm with Fradd, I love analyzing social situations and it's almost hard to ignore social signals people are giving off. Then I resist the urge to butt in.
What he says about men and women seeing colors differently is true. Women see far more range in colors compared to men. If you don't believe me go look at old school She-Ra versus He Man (80s version only). He-Man has more standard muted colors with emphasis for action. Meanwhile She-Ra has such bright popping colors with great variety and the looks of the characters have more visual factors. Both are action shows with emphasis for morals (as they had child psychologist on staff to make sure they taught good morals and it was good for kids). But also they were for different sexes thus appealed visually in a different ways not just in story. Thought I mention it cause its so fun to learn of and appreciate the two halves of the human race. And see how they truly fill for the other on what is missing while being distinctly interesting in their sex.
It's true though about the smell, I was a sleep my husband with our son. When I woke up I know my son pooping, my husband can't smell our son pooping, he was playing with him for 2 hours.
It's funny. Raised by mom and 3 sisters (dad was usually working), I feel much more in common with the female traits. I'm nowhere near trans mind you, but I'm definitely more gentle/empathetic in my temperament. Jordan Peterson has detailed how when the European job market got more open, men and women didn't pick the same jobs, their career choice disparity GREW! The men went for stuff like construction, and the women went for teaching/nursing. Again, these are merely generalizations. There are definitely tomboys and effeminate guys like me who break those stereotypes. Artistically, morally, philosophically, men and women seem to be capable of the same things. We are equal in dignity and intellect. "There's neither man nor woman in Christ Jesus."
Yes as a woman I have some masculine traits and sometimes when I hear the female stereotypes I can’t relate at all. Doesn’t make me less of a woman though. I’m still a good wife and mother. I don’t like when now in the conservative movement they are saying men and women aren’t equal. They aren’t the same. But we ARE equal in value! There has been a hijack in society where they are trying to divide men and women as one better that the other. Which is just not true. We simply each have strengths and weakness and together (man and woman) they complement each other perfectly.
@@alqoshgirl we are equal in the eyes of the law and in God’s eyes. But biologically, we are different, with women being superior in every way 😉😉😉 just kidding boys, just kidding!

I was painting a room while listening to this and my wife came in and suggested I open a window. She could smell it down the hall, but it wasn't bothering me yet.

@@maryangelica5319 yes but the market only takes on those that play the game, meaning that well known male and female artists/musicians has nothing to do with the actual number. Saying that though it would be boring to the proffession if someone decided to count ratios.
This probably explains why women are so much more effective in the finance industry than their male counterparts. I have been watching the money management department of our finance company slowly transition from 10% female to 60% female over the lats 20 years

It’s so interesting. Two sides of the same coin. Neither men or women are better, they’re just different and great together!

An old fashioned extrovert.
Women use purses, men use fanny packs. It's not that complicated
I listened to this entire conversation and was intrigued throughout.
What is the scientific explanation for my husband not being able to find the coffee creamer in front of his face in the fridge? 😂

I wonder if that's also true for animal species with brightly-colored males.
I wonder if it’s thanks to women that there are now about two dozen shades of off-white! 🤔😃
This is why when I paint a room, I give those paper paint samples to wives of friends to see what they like.

You mean they think they are superior to women. I wonder if men actually value femininity.
Does he talk about this in a book? If so which one?

Women spell better?
I believe it. We also generally have better, legible handwriting. Not always, of course. I beat my husband in both.

There actually tend to be more women musicians, but men are more likely to be composers. Not sure about visual arts though.
