I mean most high quality chargers cost a 3rd of that and its an adapter for a console and you apparently own a PC which is almost double your ps5 I think you can live with 60 dollars instead of buying a whole new headset with equipment yeah?
I got extremely lucky with mine. I went to a gamestop and asked them to call me when they got one in stock. I was walking out of work the same day when I got called and told someone just returned one.

I have the adapter, and finally having a modern OLED PCVR headset that doesn't cost an arm and a leg (and owning an iPhone to buy one) is awesome. I've been using it, and it's pretty great!

Have own it for 3 days and so far it feels incredible. I connect it via farjo aero adapter and now I don't want to use varjo anymore. Will keep it just for the adapter, lol. PSVR2 has stunning visuals and the best fresnel lenses I ever tried. They feels as good as Pico 4 lenses, but without any reflections. Godrays are so small it feels like little bloom in the game, not the lenses itself. The displays on much higher level so it feels a ton more times better. This is win-win for this price.
Except it has no support for eye tracking or hdr (and for anyone who says "but thats just software" theres no proof at the moment that the adapter transmits eye tracking data. Theres a very good chance that those features will never be included)

It cannot be proven either way and therefore until someone reverse engineers the headset and adapter the best assumption is that it cannot be software enabled.

The adapter is just a virtual link adapter. Some graphics cards supported it natively for a few years then gave up before any headsets that use it came out. The Varjo headsets use it. The main thing needed for it to work was the drivers. I just wish the unique functions it has could be accessed, like the eye tracking, more precise haptics, triggers, and head haptics.

You don't need an adapter to connect to the PC. It's just that it's cable is USB-C, so you need a USB-C port on your GPU (but maybe you can just connect it to any USB-C port or change the cable for a normal USB which I don't know if it's possible)
You can't. And it has to be a "Special" USB-C which even many mainstream cards don't have. So you essentially have to buy the adapater. Most Normal USBs dont have enough data transfer. Also alot of older cards that did have the USB-C for the GPU already got discontinued cause it was a very under utilized feature that many companies didn't take advantaged of. You can still buy them used on Amazon or Ebay, but its almost not worth it since its last gen hardware.
Its such a good idea especially at its price compared to other headsets on the market i just wish it had ALL the psvr2 features. Im sure the modding community that made the first one work on pc will figure it out now that the actual headset connects and does what its supposed to should make eye tracked foviated rendering and adaptive trigger game mods much easier. Assuming it hasnt already happened i honestly woulent be surpised.

A lot of people forget the next dedicated VR headset is close to a thousand dollars for the whole package, the valve index, I’m not counting the quest series as it’s a dual purpose/stand alone capable headset
@ChubbyStoat as of about a week before my comment, Microsoft and Nintendo both agreed to use the QuestOS standard for vr going forward. So, as soon as they implement any VR capabilities they will be Quest compatible.

I have a PSVR 2 and it's so much better than the first, it just needs a LIBRARY. The headset itself has the power, the controllers have the right buttons and features, the library.. has a few neat games and fewer must haves.
Some GPUs have a USB C port on them for display out. If your GPU has this port, you don’t need the adapter, and can instead plug the PSVR2 right into your GPU
I had the psvr2 for a while but whaf sucks about it is that it’s not backwards compatibility with any of the vr1 games at all, and any games that had a vr2 version you had to pay for the upgrade. Not to mention that the headset itself is as much as a ps5 AND you need the Ps5 like for that price I would think there be its own little thing with it
Ok, so here's an idea. Make a bundle that includes a ps5, psvr, and the adapter and make it ruffley the same price as a pro ps5, but it's just a ps5 with the disk slot.

The issue is the stuff that make the headset so good are left out of the package. If they changed it then I did not know but if it is still the same, a quest 3 would still be the better option for pc Vr in that price range (edit: pretty sure some of those issues have been added?)
Playstation should use technology from the portal, where it can connect from the ps5 to a wireless headset. This would really up the ante in the vr world.
And reminder: the sales of the headset skyrocketed (I think by like 3000% or smth) as it had a huge sale in many countries. This means there‘s an insane influx of players that can also now play on PC. I just hope Sony does something good to keep up the momentum…
honestly, if the PSVR 1 & 2 get support, i might buy a PSVR1 for my PS4 pro for the very rare occasion that i play gran turismo, & then i could also get into more VR games on my PC

Well considering the adapter processes the data and it connects via USB c there isn't anything stopping it from being enabled via a software update
