thanks for your presentation. In Ethiopia, we don't use french press coffee maker, we have our own traditional coffee maker called "jebena", which is made from sand/clay. thanks again.

It's not ethiopean coffee if you don't get to smell the smoke from the roasted beans :)

Yeah, the beans are from Ethiopia but this is not Ethiopian coffee. Also, Starbucks way over roasts their coffee. You might as well drink ash because that's their flavor profile. 😅😂🤣

I come from the scientific approach to coffee. My daily ritual requires a scale, a timer, and a thermometer. To achieve the best coffee possible three factors must always be taken into account: temperature, time, and grind. Proper control over these three factors will lead to successful replication of the perfect cup. The beans' freshness must always be taken into account as well. Two weeks is generally considered the limit for most coffee, although some would argue three.

Any beginner level coffee enthusiast will call this one out as stupid, as soon as he says 2 tbsp of coffee as the measurement. Each grind size will differ in what makes 2 tbsp. Plus, he takes heaping tbsp, making the measurement more variable. Moral of the story, never trust starbucks for good coffee.

You will ONLY taste chocolate flavors in Ethiopian coffee if you have a dark roast profile. However African coffees are know for their wild acidity, complex body. COFFEE MASTER I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO TELL THE TYPE OF ROAST YOU WORKING WITH.

One of the best coffee makers that I can remember is my mom's Revere drip coffee maker. Similiar to the french press you pour boiled water at the top and gravity does the rest. Water goes over the clip on metal grind holder and "Eureka" coffee.

It's your cappuccino, make it with whatever you want! If someone says otherwise, then let them make it for you.
As long as you're the one experimenting, do as you please, so you can build palate and choose better.

Who made you the master of Ethiopian coffee??,I find it funny cause kids do a better job in ethiopia of making it than you will ever Will,it takes time to make the coffee not 3minutes.

The barista seems to down play the importance of coffee's African (Ethiopian) origins. To him it seemed irrelevant. A side note almost

He's talking about coffee beans that come from Ethiopia. Not coffee brewed the ethiopian way.
He specifically says that he is brewing for a french press. That means 3-4 minutes brew time before you press the plunge. Simple.
