Kirsten Dunst was 11 when she filmed _Interview with the Vampire._
This is an interesting way to do it. A shame it wasn't really the one person's thing. Would like to see you watch the series, especially as there is some of the back-and-forth with the interviewer in that (although I'm not sure if there is enough for what you're looking for). Have you read _Carmilla?_
The interviewer is a character in later books also.
You should do reaction videos to the show, haha. (I'd watch that, though, seriously.)
I lowkey think the show reworks the story in a much more interesting way, sorry AR fans lol, I'm also not a big fan of the book, I appreciate the film tho. so I was quite surprised by the tv serie, they took a Louis, which for me is a blank paper, and started to draw something that was worth looking at.
They also give us an interesting power dynamic between creation and creator, and the relationship between the human and the monster side of a vampire makes for a very good domestic horror plot, in addition to what for me is the differential, the idea of memory and unreliable narrator, the journalist gains a weight that didn't exist before that makes a interesting conflict. I believe that the series with the second season that comes out next year, will be a much more solid experience, it was divided into two parts.
Some people say the second book is better, but I was never interested to continue.

Ryan here. I'm not ruling out reading the next book. I feel like a few years from now I'll get a strange urge to check it out. Crazy as that seems to me at this moment.

Fight those urges. You will never "get" it. Go use your limited time here in better ways.
The second book tells Lestat's story from before being a vampire on. That is supposed to be at least partially done in season three, if there is a season three. @kilbx, you write very well and have an interesting turn of phrase.
