Is this rly worth it tho?
For the power costs of having my oven turned on for 16 hours I could buy a pound of regular garlic powder.
Not for this portion imo, but if you try this you can dry a whole bunch of garlic, or other aromatics all at once. But they might get stale after a while of storing, I don't know
yeah im really interested in the difference in flavour.most of the garlic powder/flakes from the supermarket taste like absolutely nothing, so im intrigued
Not at all (:
Just cool to see how it's done
Most things that already exist are not worth the trouble of making it haha. Ketchup, regular buffalo sauce, chick fila sauce
@@SenpaiKai9000 Thx now I can explain my cooking laziness to my wife more easily with an actual chef backing me up ^^
Totally not but saving time or money is not the purpose of that. My entire kitchen is almost completely self-made ingredients. Shit ton of works and money but I love doing it 🙂
Bet you could do this in an air fryer too. Some even have a dehydrate button!
best tips are always in the comments
Wtf really? Yall livin the 2022
i think mine actually has a dehydrator option haha really comes in clutch
I have the Ninja Foodi 5 in 1 and that shit is a godsend. Airfryer, dehydrator, roaster, grill, and baking functions. Worth the money, I use it almost everyday.
@@corbinbrier0 hi
where can i buy it in india, any suggestion?
Also where did u buy it?
I really love your casual approach that alligns with what so many ppl’ experience in cooking. Great work man. Keep going !!!
this looks really cool, but what would you use it for instead of regular fresh garlic/regular garlic powder?
Yup! It just has a slightly nuttier/toasty flavor.
Roasted garlic tastes different than regular garlic. It's more intense garlicky and sweeter
@@SenpaiKai9000 thanks a lot!!
@@Bloodhound7 thanks!!
We like it on home cooked pizza, just shake it on. I use it often in dishes and as toppings. Granted I buy mine and roasted onion powder from a spice company,
Imagine making somebody eat the almond looking garlic
On my planet, we call the "spice grinder" a "coffee grinder". Peace, earthling Kai👽
Coffee is the greatest spice of life
@@SenpaiKai9000 True words. A day without coffee is like...
Just kidding. I've no idea.
🙂
Same thing. I don’t grind my coffee in the same grinder as my spices grinder to avoid cross flavor contamination, but some folks do. It’s strange how I see this so often… if something is different from how y’all would do things doesn’t necessarily mean it’s wrong. It’s just different. God bless!
@@SenpaiKai9000 seen some applications of coffee being used in cooking to take away smells; will you also feature something like this in the near future?
Mine is my weed grinder
Sweet tats. You stand out with those in the kitchen for sure.
Pro tip: if your oven doesn’t go as low as 170 you can calibrate most ovens +/- 35 degrees, just check your owners manual on how to do it. I use this trick to hold brisket at 150 even though my oven technically only goes as low as 170
I LOVE your shirt
Spice grinder ohhh you mean bud buzzer, right I get you now!
no need for a oven, in case you don't want to overspend your eletric bill. thinly slice the garlic and spread on a baking sheet, and let it on sunlight for some days
"It's crazy how it looks like an almond."
*my demonic brain thinking of ways to use that info on April 1st*
Chop it up and add it to chocolate while making it
Thanks dude, cheers
I love it!! Getting a dehydrator so I could start making my own spices!
Dehydrating it wouldn’t get the same smokiness from roasting it. At that point you might as well just get garlic powder for a dollar lol
Fresh garlic is the best.
garlics smell awesome
I’m going to try this. I love garlic but haven’t tried fresh garlic powder before. I go through the stuff so much that if vampires exist, my blood would be a toxin.
Throw that in a baked mac'n cheese dish 👌🤤
Is it just me or did anyone else find the grinding noise U L T R A S A T I S F Y I NG
The amount that it looked like an almond did not scare me
Might try this in my smoker
I love this, so simple. Not a tip you normally hear either.
This made me remember the time I went to a relatives farm and saw dehydrated peppers hanging in the plant from the hot kinda dry weather
Holy shit I gotta try this
Someone probably has an idea of trolling for the garlic that looks like an almond
I feel like if you bought a bag of fried garlic chips (unsalted ofc) from an asian mart and ground that up, you'd save wayy more time compared to roasting them up in an oven. Fun concept tho and might play around with it for coating fries
Oh! Totally gonna dehydrate a batch of garlic cloves and offer them to people as almonds.
I am Honoured that Senpai and I got the same Spice Grinder :D
Legend brother ❤️
First time I've seen someone actually use a spice grinder for spices 🤣😉
Dehydrated food are perfect for winter storage....
Give it to someone who hates garlic and tell them that it is an almond
Microwaving it works too. 300W for 10 minutes and there is nothing left of it lol
Damn that shirt is mighty fine
Mine goes down to 100°. Use it to proof fermented things. Wonder if that's hot enough?
can i ask what’s the difference between spice grinder and a blender cause i only have a blender
spice grinder is just really small, it's the same thing is a coffee grinder.
so you can't really do much else besides a small amount of spices.
Blenders will grind it up just the same (:
Put the whole thing in chocolate like some sort of forbidden almond
They really did look like almonds haha!
I will defo try this
How do you clean your spice grinder?
Just a quick rinse in water. While it's UNPLUGGED unless u live life on the edge man
@@SenpaiKai9000 oof I know you’re daring but not stupid! 😂 Thank you so much for answering!
Quick question, what spice blender do you have?
If you chop them up wont they not stay on the rack? Asking for a friend
Electricity in America is very cheap so this won’t cost a lot.
When he said “put it in the spice grinder...” I thought “good thing he didn’t say chestnut roasting pan” because I don’t got one a those thingy’s
I could do the same with any veg, and make a homemade bulion powder.
16 hours? Nah man, my energy bill will explode
When appliances are included in your lease
Enjoy drinking garlic coffee for the next few days 🤣
What if you put it an a smoker tho 👀
Damn, not we talkin
My mom uses that same spice grinder to make her coffee beans into grounds. Never knew it was a spice grinder
Did you just say 16 HOURS!?!?!?🤯
Senpai teaches me more then my parents do 😂 amazing content lmao
You pick on the people who made ketchup but you do a 16 hour process for garlic powder 😭😭
true dat. it's just to show to process.
ill do a ketchup video too, but with heavy "just buy Heinz" disclaimers
@@SenpaiKai9000 Heinz or French?!
Can I do the same thing with my dehydrator and mortar and pestil?
Higher temp cut thinner takes 40 minutes...350
Would a dehydrator work tho? If it dose i can throw it in whwn i dry all my veggies and fruits
How long does it last?
won't it lose the aroma?
Can't afford the bills to heat garlic for 16hrs bro.. wanna pay my gas bill?
Nope (;
The forbidden almond-
Im just curious...did you make that with you bodyguard?
16 hours? Doesn't seem worth it but cool to see how it's done. Does it taste any different from store bought stuff?
Hello [name of siblings] care to partake in some of these "almonds".
Sibling: Why...?
I buy mine freshly ground. I value my time so it's cheaper.
Is ur glasses broken And i think i saw tape in between 😂😂
Can I use garlic paste to hold my glasses together?
🙃😉✌
Ever do this with shallots or green onions?
Put some of those in a big bag of blue diamond almonds and your a menace to society
I'll just buy some from a factory that makes thousands a day instead of leaving my oven on for a day to cook 8 garlic cloves
Or you can just leave the garlic to dry under the sun for a couple of days
@@user-im9nb4bw4w I live in England! Xxx
I sun dry my stuff if i feel like it. Cuz why waste electricity of the value for which i can buy a ton of garlic powder/spices
haha so I'm not the only one who cuts the rot out of garlic cloves
We have enough sun so imma gonna try
I need a spice grinder 🥺
Senpai I can use a mortar n pestle or molcajete right if I got no grinder I got a diff kinda grinder lool
Isn't just the same as dehydrating it?
Hmm
Almond huh ?
I sense a good prank joining the chat
nice glasses dude
16 hours at 175 or below?? Hmm I’ll just buy it and save on my electric bill!
What is this thing on your glassed
So you can afford to put the oven on for 16 hours but can’t buy some new glasses 👓
Mom: what are you making!?!
Me: Roasted garlic powder 🤷🏽♂️
Mom: 🤔...
Brother: ooh almonds
Dad: WTF this isn't...!!!
Me: ...deez nuts 😁
The garlic isn’t roasted tho it’s dehydrated lol
Senpai, I’d like to buy your shirt
Lol grocery stores are not gonna be happy with you 😂 saving us alotta money 👌
Wait did u say 16 hours?
Bold of you to assume the average RUclips user owns a spice grinder
Looks like an “almond” sure
Ya after 16 hours..... Garlic powder in the grocery store 2 dollars... Electricity bill 500 dollars.... Cool
16 hours in germany.. you have to be really rich
Oh yea. Let me spend $50 in gas to grind 4 garlic cloves. Makes sense...
Yh everyone has a spice grinder
Bruh, my oven goes down to 90 degrees! FARENHEIT
So put them in a dehydrator.
This powder is dangerous 😬
I recommend taking fleur-de-sel and grind it by hand. This way you might not over spice your food.
That garlic powder is good, no question. But it's so nasty if you just add a tip of a knife too much 😂it's like making drinks with 95% proof ingredients.
I have no spice grinder.
And no garlic.
My oven goes all the way down to -6 but unfortunately I was un able to replicate your results
You have great abs bro
One pack abs are underrated
I know 😎
@@hampter460 totally man
Why won't you get a new pair of spectacles, tho?
Or you can buy it pre made
sheeeeeeesh
Is your glasses broken senpai??
