Next beach trip I'm going old school. Got a couple chairs from Lawnchairusa. Aluminum, traditional webbing, light weight and made in Georgia. They might blow over easy in the wind though. We'll see. We've got one of those Solbello Shades to try out too. Need to get back to the beach!
Cool! Those aluminum webbed lawn chairs bring back memories. They're light yet tough. I've got a Solbello Shade too. I really like it. Worked well in 20+ mph winds and self-adjusts when the wind changes direction. Hope you get to use your new beach gear soon!

Rio Beach makes a solid 17'' high beach chair sold on AMAZON for $120. It's simple but it does its job. Tommy Bahama also has a new highboy beach chair ($125) with a shade. I have a beach friend who loves it, but it's heavy.

Welcome aboard! Glad you found the channel! A good start for a beach newbie would be buying a good beach shade and beach chair. I've got a few videos on beach shades you can check out to see which one would be right for you. Most XL portable outdoor chairs are made for camping, but I found one on AMAZON that may be good for the beach. It's called the TIMBER RIDGE Oversized Director Chair. It has a 600 lbs weight capacity and costs $140. I haven't tested it myself but it has received some decent reviews. The biggest con is that it weighs 22 pounds, which is more than double the weight of most beach chairs. I hope this helps point you in the right direction. Let me know if you have any questions.

I paid $35 for the head pillow. I think it’s a little weird not having armrests but other folks think nothing of it.
You should definitely review the parkit beach chair. Looks pretty gnarly.
