As a very new player (only 2 games played) I'm super excited for this expansion. Being able to play through scenes from the books is awesome. I recently listened to the audiobooks and the scenes with the black riders was FAR more terrifying than in the movies so that is the part I'm most excited to play!
I can confirm that this box will hold all of the saga quests (plus the Hobbit Saga quests and relevant POD if you have them) if most of the cards are unsleeved. I currently have all of my Hobbit + LotR content in the revised core box, and I only sleeve the quest and player cards. Very excited to see this reach a new audience
I'm most excited to play the sequence of the escape from the Black riders. The constant fear of getting caught, the rush to make it to Bree, and the first feeling of discovering a whole new world (from the minds of the hobbits).
I've been playing since the beginning of this year and thrilled to pick up the revised core to start. I was bummed when I realized as I wanted to expand that more and more expansions were out of print waiting for these reissues. I'm just super excited for all these releases especially this saga so I can play the themed quests from the fellowship.

I’m glad that they put the two sagas together for Fellowship, I’m gettting back into the game and the fellowship is next on the list(got the hobbit expansions and through dwarrowdelf cycle). Ultimately looking forward to the Nazgûl aspect, the flight of the Hobbits in the book was much more gripping than in the movie and I want to play through that, we all know Fatty Bolger is the real hero of LotR.

My answer to your question, it is definitely the part where Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli set out to pursue the Orcs and rescue Merry and Pippin, even while they debated to follow Frodo and Sam to Mordor. This was the part where Boromir was slain near Parth Galen, close to the banks of Anduin. The turning point of an adventure, the sense of fellowship and the characters progression (especially for Aragorn, as from a Ranger of the North to the becoming the king) - all these are my favourite moments of the Fellowship. I am not sure whether the saga box can really capture those moments (since I just started into LotR LCG), but I really appreciate if you could play the Hunters as a thematic playthrough, since they are good friends in the Fellowship. A deckbuilding guide would be great as well, knowing your thought process between the different spheres of the Hunters that are available now. Thanks!

Flight to the Ford, definitely! I just got on board with the game a little over a month ago, and it's fast become my favorite game, new favorite hobby, and what I foresee being a permanent fixture in my days. I am very, very excited to sink my teeth into this saga!

Without a doubt, my favorite thematic element from this expansion are the Nazgûl. You can truly feel the terror they inspire. They did a really good job designing them to be as they are in the novel.
Nice to see this expansion as a giveaway. I do not need it myself, but my most favourite part of the saga is in the Barrow-downs, which are unfortunately not part of this package.
I’m a new player who’s just getting into the game, and I’m so excited to play through the set. I’m most excited about the Frodo/One Ring mechanic and the Fellowship cards!
My answer: My favourite scene to play out in card form would be the watcher in the water for sure! It was such a brief moment in the film and we didn’t see all that much of the watcher, so I’m excited to see the card art and how the card game will interpret the threat of many looming tentacles!
I would love to see the encounter with the barrow-wight. It wasn't included in the movies and I have not read the Lord of the Rings yet (sacrilege I know) . It's something I've only heard mentioned occasionally but the interaction is so vital to the story...
I never played the Saga expansions, I took a long break from the game and am interested to know what's going on now-a-days! I'm most excited about having game materials back in print so I can get a lot of what I missed, lol. In this though, I love the books, so I'm excited about all of it, especially shooting myself in the foot by playing Fatty Bolger solo, lol. Really though, I love the Mines of Moria and think they'd make a very difficult and challenging quest.
Great video! The journey through Moria is on of the best parts of the books and I would love to play a quest where you first have to find your way in the mines, then escape from an overwhelming swarm of enemies and finally meet the Balrog and sacrifice Gandalf!
Did I miss the giveaway? I’m a new player and just want to experience the LOTR story through this card game. I love to see how the cards recreate the atmosphere found in the books and also the movies. I don’t think I have a single place I’m looking forward to, but they all look awesome!
I'm most looking forward to the Shadow in the Dark, I just got into the game with the new core set and exploring Moria seems epic. Also dang the balrog seems beefy as heck.

I think I'm most excited for Tom Bombadill. I'm not sure what role he'll play but I would imagine he'll pop up, do something crazy and be gone again. I think he's the most fascinating character for me and I couldn't imagine he'll be left out. Thanks again!

As much as I want to say the Balrog, I have to go with The Watcher of the Water. I'd love to see how you battle the Watcher as you struggle to open the doors to Moria~!

I'm just getting into this after much debate to either spend a fortune buying an old collection or slowly invest into the revised set - hoping they cover everything worth having. As someone who has just recently started reading the books again for the 3rd time (currently on The Two Towers) I've just invested in the new revised core set, the Gondor starter deck and the Heroes of Angmar new set. I'm really looking forward to actually forming the Hobbits as a party and experiencing their Journey at the start and obviously the Mines of Moria!

Very new player here (I only own the newly released items). I don’t tend to look at spoilers so I’m not sure what’s in the box. Going off the brief overview I saw here, I’d say Sam. He looks fantastic. If I made assumptions on what may be in the box, I’d say locations such as Weathertop or Rivendell.
I'm most excited about travelling through the mines of moria and encountering the Balrog and also playing with a hobbits, seems like they are a lot of fun to play.
I am most excited to venture through the dark of Moria. One of my favorite parts of the whole trilogy! I just got the revised core and am loving it and so excited to explore the lands of middle earth

Most of all I am looking forward to playing the new Gandalf, for I much desire to speak with him :) As for Fatty Bolger - I think he could be handy in situations where you really need to quest through a stage or location (first part of Over the Misty Mountains Grim comes to mind as an example). However it makes little sense to put such action on a hero, I would rather see it on an ally or as a 0 cost event (as Radagast's Cunning does cancel the same threat altogether for the cost of 1).
Fatty is great at working against Sam and Pippin. I haven't played through the Fellowship quests yet, so I don't know what I'm up against. Fatty seems more like a neat curiosity than a great hero. It should be noted that if anything raises the threat on enemies after using the ability, no additional threat is add to the player or the quest. That's kinda neat. He can play off spirit Merry to zero out any threat gain. That's kinda neat. Anything that reduces threat as its gained softens the blow. Anything that triggers off of threat gain will go off. Both are kinda neat. He seems ok to test against easier quests or for situations where you want to experiment with effects more than winning the quest itself. He's no Folco Boffin.
I'm looking forward to revisiting Moria and a rematch with some old nemeses like the Watcher or the Balrog! Oh and Ally Bilbo - I really dig the art and he's surprisingly useful.
My answer to the question: is definitely recreating the iconic crossing of the brandy wine river as the hobbits jump onto the ferry with the Ringwraiths chasing close behind.
Hey sorry to comment again! Just wondering if you'd recommend getting og saga expansions if I only have the og core box? Or do your hink 1, ffg will rerelease all the saga expansions and 2, it'd be more worth it buying the revised versions? All I truly care to have are the saga expansions haha at least to help contain myself from buying everything
Well, the OG and revised are the same content. So either way you get it all. I think we can assume all the sagas will be repackaged. Finding the OG might be difficult.
Really loving following this series. Looking forward to recreating the dark intensity of entering Moria and journeying through to the final battle against the Balrog
I'm going to go with Tom Bombadil. He always gets missed out of adaptations, because I think that noone knows how to handle him! What is he? How does he fit into the Middle Earth races? Is he just insanely powerful? I suspect those secrets died with JRR... so if he _is_ in this game, it'd be really interesting to see a he can do...

I'm looking forward to see how the weight of the Ring would affect Frodo in the game. I am curious to see how it is translated into the game because it's such a push-and-pull from the story (books/movies). Anyway, are there any misprints that you noticed?
Poor Fatty! There are two reasons I use and like Fatty. 1. His ability can be clutch at times! In your example, doing that would allow him to effectively quest for 4 and do so after staging. That is awesome, and very powerful when used sparingly. 2. He's the best natural Hobbit defender! 2 defense, 3 hit points printed. Ring Mail and a cloak. Maybe a Staff of Lebethron. He's a Beregond Brick Wall. All hail the great Fatty!
I am looking forward to A Shadow of the Past. I am hoping that it is a cat & mouse style scenario where you have to slink through quests while staying under threat. Maybe take a quick jaunt thought a mushroom field and take a tumble down a hill. Beyond that, it would be awesome to see some Old Forest & Tom Bombadil in the game but I have a feel that we won't see that.
Are they going to re-release all of the expansion content or is it just the Sagas? I never managed to buy all the sagas nor everything else and I have some random adventure packs that I don't have the expansion for, lol, so I'm wondering if I need to scrounge around to find them or if they've said they're redoing all the stuff again. IT looks like maybe they're repackaging everything since they redid the Lost Realm though
We don't know for sure. We have some good ideas on what is for sure being re-packaged. The Dreamchaser cycle is most likely, the rest of the Saga, most likely Ered Mithrin Cycle.
So, since I have the original Black Riders and The Road Darkens I don't get anything new from this new release right? Though, the storage itself makes it VERY tempting just for that...
I’m most excited to see if the Barrow-Downs scene from the book will be in the game. I think the Barrow-wights would be such a fun enemy to have to defeat as they sort of hypnotize their victims and cause a loss of will (loss of will power??).
I cant buy it, due to high gass and electronic prices in Europe i can't currently afford it and additionally its not available in my country yet. I would be very happy to receive it as a gift since, this was exactly what i wished for my birthday, however the black riders wasn't available anymore so i only have the road darkens but didn't play it yet. If i get this as a gift i will give away my the road darkens to someone else. And i pay the shipping costs of this package to you guys. I am looking forward to the Ring Goes South quest. Fatty can be an emergency button in quests that do bad things to you if you quest unsuccessfully.

New Player here. I am just a sucker for Hobbits in general, especially Pippin. I find how they interact with the game to be very interesting.
Crossing the Bridge of Khazad-dûm and encountering the Balrog would be so freaking cool. Top pick for me.

I am looking forward to A Shadow of the Past. I am hoping that it is a cat & mouse style scenario where you have to slink through quests while staying under threat. Maybe take a quick jaunt thought a mushroom field and take a tumble down a hill. Beyond that, it would be awesome to see some Old Forest & Tom Bombadil in the game but I have a feel that we won't see that.

Are they going to re-release all of the expansion content or is it just the Sagas? I never managed to buy all the sagas nor everything else and I have some random adventure packs that I don't have the expansion for, lol, so I'm wondering if I need to scrounge around to find them or if they've said they're redoing all the stuff again. IT looks like maybe they're repackaging everything since they redid the Lost Realm though
We don't know for sure. We have some good ideas on what is for sure being re-packaged. The Dreamchaser cycle is most likely, the rest of the Saga, most likely Ered Mithrin Cycle.

I’m most excited to see if the Barrow-Downs scene from the book will be in the game. I think the Barrow-wights would be such a fun enemy to have to defeat as they sort of hypnotize their victims and cause a loss of will (loss of will power??).
There is a quest that has the Barrow-wights, but it is one of the PODs I mentioned in the video. Fog on the BarrowDowns

I cant buy it, due to high gass and electronic prices in Europe i can't currently afford it and additionally its not available in my country yet.
I would be very happy to receive it as a gift since, this was exactly what i wished for my birthday, however the black riders wasn't available anymore so i only have the road darkens but didn't play it yet.
If i get this as a gift i will give away my the road darkens to someone else. And i pay the shipping costs of this package to you guys.
