    Bought one this morning. Not a plumber. Never used. Video was great. Pulled a pair of underwear out of clean out. My step kid is getting a whooping.

    on 10:49 , it says"do not retrieve cable in reverse position", It seems to retract the cable you have to place the switch on "FOR" position instead of "REV". It does not make any sense. Does it mean when I want to retrieve the cable, I need to put the switch on "FOR" and manually to push the cable back? Only use "REV" in the occasion of breaking a blockage? Can anyone help me to understand it?

      Yes always leave on fwd unless you need to break a nlockage

      I am unable to retrieve cable in fwd position. It does'nt go in . Were you able to do?

      @tannerwest6823 Год назад

      You do not run the machine in reverse while retrieving the cable. Leave it in forward and pull it back out manually or if you have the auto feed it should retrieve itself

    • @Wyman642
      @Wyman642 Год назад

      Basically always leave it in forward. If you have the auto-feeder, you can move the feeder handle backwards to retract the cable BUT keep the machine switch in forward.

    how many feet is the cable in the machine it comes with?

    • @JohnLRice
      @JohnLRice 3 года назад

      I know you asked a year ago and probably already have the answer but maybe someone else reading this might want to know? This machine is sold with different lengths and diameters of cable. (and you can buy replacement cables separately) It can use up to a 100 foot 3/8" cable or an up to 75 foot 1/2" cable. I just bought one with a 75 for 3/8" cable

      @@JohnLRice I hit something hard and never cleared my line. Likely an "L" section. Is there a flexible extension that can lead the way around a corner?

    • @JohnLRice
      @JohnLRice 3 года назад +1

      @@harleylawdude I'm not sure if there is a flexible extension or not but that would be handy! I have noticed that there is a "Drop Head Auger" that is hinged a bit which might be useful for getting around bends etc but I haven't tried one.
