Can you test a motor with a regular dc power supply?

Don't connect two power supplies in series , usually all power supplies DC side can deliver little bit more current than the rated value of power supply. If you make them in series configuration then you are pumping more current through DC side of both power supplies. They will not work for long time and probably end up with damaging components.
