From plastic waste to new planters: LECHUZA's 100% recycled planters

Excellent! The LECHUZA planters of the ECO-line are certified with the Blue Angel - The German Ecolabel.
With the new containers made of recycled plastic, we take another big step towards sustainability. Our planter, the CLASSICO Color ECO, is made of completely recycled plastic, is 100% recyclable, and is certified with the "Blue Angel" - the German Ecolabel*. This is how we at LECHUZA ensure a greener everyday life.
The integrated irrigation system supplies the plants with water and nutrients, following nature's example.
Plastic offers optimal conditions for recycling due to its robust and weather-resistant properties, making it the ideal basis for the ECO-line. Thanks to the standard LECHUZA quality, the ECO can be used both indoors and outdoors. It is available in 6 sizes and 3 satin gray shades.
Interesting facts about the material:
The planter and liner base are made from 100% recycled PCR plastic (= post-consumer recycled). PCR plastic is made from discarded materials, which have been collected from households or industrial facilities, for example. Yesterday's foil packaging or yoghurt cup thus become a practical planter. Many parts of the irrigation set are made of PIR plastic (= post-industrial recyclate). PIR is a waste product from the industrial production of plastics. This closed recycling loop conserves fossil raw materials.
