You have a really nice collection of Paphiopedilum orchids there, and planted together in these pots, it's looking beautiful! I am staying, since I am new to Paphs.

Super snappy video. I like the new style. You really are 'paph man'. So many!!!
I feel very happy now that I gave you that seedling cross. He will be much happier with you and all those big paphs to provide role models.
My Pinocchio has a well developed spike now so hopefully there will be a blooming video from me soon. Thank you for the update.

+Gardening at Douentza thank you Rachel that's so kind of you to say! The seedling cross looks OK and hopefully it will grow big and strong. I really wish I could find an image online of how it will bloom but alas I'll just have to be very patient and see when it comes to it! I will be looking forward to seeing your Paph Pinocchio in bloom, really love those small ones. Thank you for watching :)

Great paphs - I don't grow these so well? One thing I've noticed : many paphs grow a new side shoot that pushes on quite fast up to a certain size and then just stops. Some time later (and this gap can be a very long time) they start to grow again with a new leaf - this normally means it will produce its bud soon after that leaf matures. But these types of orchids include some of the slowest growers!

+Roger Frampton yes I have noticed this too on many occasions with my Paphiopedilum Orchids, I don't know why they do that. I'm theorising it may be influenced with the amount of light they are getting, as I noticed the growth can bounce back to life after a day or two of nice sunny weather. But it's not always the case do its just a percentage of a theory.

Very nice, Robert! This Lechuza pot has been very good and practical, and the orchids are doing well and looking so good. Very interesting. This made me look at my paph. maudiae, and I noticed it's producing something new, but with my luck it must be a new leaf. I have two fans in the pot, and each one has 5 leaves. Usually paph mauduae blooms after it has from 4 to 5 leaves, so where are my blooms? Could it be really thinking of making a sixth leaf? At least my paph primulinum is always in bloom. :)

+Orchids & a Dutchy well I think each Paph has a different number of growth leafs and then the do called "bloom" leaf that will Indicate that the orchid will produce a spike soon. But I never made any observations on the idea, which I could actually do and that would be very helpful😉

jose eduardo trejo rodiguez Actually since the word is representing a German brand it ought to be pronounced the German way.
