I see why people blame you, it's not easy to hide the location of a building, and with the outside shots along with the general location, it's easy to find it. Respect for waiting till it got vandalised before posting anything. Sadly we can't have good Urbex locations because of the local chavs. Now I mainly (try) to explore active buildings, because in my local area all the abandoned areas are super secure and/or beyond trashed.
honestly if these places have really dangerous stuff, honestly its better to tip it off to the police anonymously, people who do find these places and end up doing stupid shit could re-activate old diseases that we might not want yk?
@EarlySunrise diseases dont work that way. Most diseases, especially respritory ones, need a host within 15min of hitting atmosphere or they die. Anything you get from here would also be in a parking garage. Except for poisons or radiological waste i guess
I’m a nurse and the bottles you see at the end of the video aren’t actually sauces. It’s specially made food commonly used for people that can’t swallow. Some people have a tube that goes to their stomach that nurses put the special food through. This type of feeding is called enteral feeding Edit: the bags of liquid u see towards the beginning of the video that are moldy are used for enteral feeding as well and most likely is just regular tap water. We use it to help the food go through the tube easier. A pump is used to ensure the proper amount and rate of water and food goes through the tube.
This is disgusting! How can a hospital leave all this dangerous stuff and get away with it. You would think that the city this is in would be really concerned!!
As a nurse myself, I see all this relatively new equipment going to waste and I just can’t comprehend why it’s left behind when it could be used…. Like, who’s paying or paid for it?
@6:00 you ask what the bottles are. They are blood culture bottles. Used when people are febrile (temperature) to see what bacteria is in their blood making them sick. I’m a nurse btw. Would have been great if you looked at everything really closely! Liked picked things up and read them.
You had to mention this? 😂 I work at a small town hospital, and when Tazocin (Piperacillin/Tazobactam) showed up (about 2013-ish). The initial intention stated was the doctors were only to use it for Septicemia. Then stick with Cefazolin, Clindamycin, Gentamycin etc as before, for the other bacterial infections. What a joke! 🙄 It wasn't a matter of three months, and they were ordering Tazocin IV to treat half the infections they laid their eyes on. It was comparable to a kid who gets a new toy for Christmas, and can't wait to play with it. 🤣
Urban explorers tend not to touch anything they have to, I’ve noticed, I think it’s because they don’t want to change anything, they want to leave it as it was except for of course doors. I feel like it’s showing respect to the building, and in an abandoned hospital with left over medicine and everything, touching things may not be the best idea
it might have been abandoned because of covid and for those of you wondering, the blood bank is full of water because the bank needs to stay cold took keep the blood fresh, so without electricity it either condensed or water leaked into it someone. Really sad to see all this go to waste, but it feels like a field trip of someone interested in medicine.
It was abandoned 1st because of some reason not mentioned, reopened to help with covid, closed because covid stopped. It wasn't necessary anymore and the doctors went where they were needed.
(for some reason, RUclips hid my comment so I'm rewriting it) Why would a hospital close down because of a disease? Aren't they supposed to help people with diseases?
Looks like it, but I was confused about the timeline. I noticed the face shields, masks, and what is a newer model bed for hospitals in bulk mostly so thats what I'd assume. But I also was thinking it could've maybe been forgotten after the mosquito virus epidemic that I can't remember the name of right now. If it were that though, the bed would be way too new though.
It’s such a shame to see all of this stuff left behind when this country’s hospitals are all over capacity and very sick people have to wait way too long for a bed, and medical staff is so overextended. I used to find videos like this spooky, now they just make me sad and angry that corporations can be so financially and environmentally irresponsible. The only thing spooky to me now is the corporate (and sometimes in these cases, government) waste!
That thing is chock full of deadly diseases. Great to know a bunch of jackasses went in there and tore up the place, probably releasing even more and deadlier diseases.
I am a RN too. Look at the supplies, medicine, and equipment left behind! I am sure there are citizens of that community who are in need for these things! Such a waste!
Exactly what I was thinking, they actually just clocked out one day and never went back. Literally chemicals, expensive equipment, patient logs all just Sitting there for anyone to take
I know what you mean. It would be difficult for any of us here to just up and leave all that expensive equipment behind without making a few tries to move it where it would do SOME good. However for places like hospitals or large businesses the costs of doing such would far outweigh any immaterial benefit that in the end couldn't be added to a spreadsheet.
10:48 that is a fluoroscopy x-ray machine. Fluoroscopy is live radiation. Basically x-ray video. That large camera with the lead curtain on it is the image intensifier next to the overhead tube. And you have the TV monitor next to those.
I'd be afraid to explore somewhere that's been abandoned mainly because of how unsanitary it might be. Especially the morgue part. I would've had two layers of gloves and some masks. Been bundled up.
13:13 Im in environmental services, the hospital i work in has the same mop handles and purell dispensers. The sound of the dispenser is definitely still working sounds like new betteries in fact. The casing is still white and hasnt yellowed, the purell itself is still full and probably got changed right before closing again. There is an expiration year and month on the bottom part of the window on the bottle/bag that is always 2-3 years out. If you saw the yeat, just take out a couple and a few months and thats likely when they closed down. Edit: 19:15 Theres a feeding thing for patients who have to eat with a tube. The use before date is september 2020, place probably closed in august 2020.
5:05 That's a sealed unit for testing samples for infectious diseases I think. O5:35 These bottles are for taking blood samples for cultures in suspected sepsis patients.
If I knew this term of urban exploration (if it existed 30 years ago) I would have saved myself so many butt whoopin's from sneaking where I wasn't supposed to be 😂 Thank you for posting this, I find abandoned hospitals fascinating. FYI, the plastic shelved and wheeled cart with the red vinyl covering was a linen cart, not a food cart. Food carts are either open and the food is covered tightly with plastic wrap and a service lid, or the are metal with doors that firmly close, thus avoiding contamination of the food. They still cover plates with a service cover in the metal carts, but thats bc it has to be transported from hallway to room.
On another note, I guarantee you the owners of that building were fined a minimum of $1m for all the HIPPAA violations I can see just based off of your camera angles. They would face $5-10k (avg) per violation. A single piece of paper can contain multiple violations.
I believe at 6:57 that's used for things like sheets, blankets, and linens. Its a way to store and move around large quantities of them easily. I'm laughing at people being surprised/shocked things still look new in this video. They found a calendar for 2023. It's probably only be vacant less than a year when they filled this.
What a waste. They left for a fortune of equipment behind. Nice exploration tho. I really like exploration videos. Thanks for sharing this one. Stay safe out there 😊

Usually once the power goes out. The sub pump no longer works so rain water is unable to be drained out. Causing it to fill up over time
