Picking Up One of 11 Things Might Get You in Trouble

- What can you find with a metal detector? Coins, jewelry, ancient coins artifacts... Finding some money on the ground a hundred years ago, you could think yourself lucky. If you pick up something valuable today, though, it most likely means trouble. Picking one up and setting it into your phone you might find a huge debt on yourself. If you find a diamond ring or gold bracelet, somebody may appear on the street and accuse you of stealing their jewelry.
The same applies to wallets, money, and credit cards. Or check your surroundings before picking up such items. If you feel somebody’s watching or following you, leave it be. What about electronic devices? Well, if you see a radio transmitter, mobile phone, or tablet lying on the road, never touch it: it might be unsafe and put there on purpose so that you - or any curious person -picks it up. So, here’s a list of things you should never pick up.

The coolest thing I’ve ever found is a 200 Norwegian Kroner bill on the street which is about 22 USD it might not be a lot but for a 9 year old in Norway it is quite a lot and that money only got spent in under a day...
Last year, around Thanksgiving, I found a tablet on the sidewalk. I was homeless at the time and had my dinner with me. After eating, I contacted the owner using a label taped inside the case. He was out of town and returned about 2 weeks later. He asked me to hold on to it for him. I did and when he met me, I returned tablet, stating I didn't try to charge it up and used napkins to wipe dew from off it and the case. He surprised me by handing me a $50 bill for keeping it with me that time; stating just by contacting him was more than he expected anybody to do. I told him I didn't know if it had moisture get inside or whether it would work, since I didn't know how long it was uncovered in weather before finding it myself.

A few years ago while waiting for a bus I picked up a newspaper that was sitting on a bench and this homeless man started harassing me saying it was his paper. He said "I just got that out of the machine not even an hour ago. You can have it but at least give me the buck fifty I paid for it." He was full of it. The paper from the previous week.
I actually once picked up SIM card like that and contacted someone in contacts and they gave me contact on the owner so I returned it to him. His phone was stolen
A few years ago I also found iPhone 6s (very expensive back then) but non-working. Police told me they don't want it because it has no sense if it's broken

now founding a wallet with money inside is pretty common but picking it up should follow the same rule in finding some jewelry, take a photo of it and say "I'VE FOUND THIS WALLET ON SO-SO STREET WITH X AMOUNT OF MONEY "Now the crooks who would say that IT'S MINE or say that YOU STOLE IT is pretty rare,so that's too much planning to do this and on top of this it could have their drivers license in the wallet,so again the risk that someone would say "YOU SOLE IT is pretty rare. I've always found money on the streets, but never a wallet BUSTING FULL OF MONEY cause I would think i WAS a set-up,but again to cover yourself take a photo and recrd it and say what I've said earlier
I saw a phone on the ground one day, my soul told me NOT to pick it up, or even touch it! I just left it on the ground, and told my dad to do the same. Before you knew it, cops arrived at a house across the street. Whoever it was, threw the phone in our yard, hoping that we pick it up, with our DNA all over it. That way, we'd be locked up, and the mystery person would get away scot-free.

Sim cards Can also be from a drug dealer, they often change it. That Way they don’t get tracked

For valuables where a person appears after you take it. Couldn't you simply give it back? The jewelery, you just found and wwere taking to the police station.
The money, couldn't that actually be turned on the first stranger? Le's be fair, if you see money on he ground the right thing is to take it to the police station and hand it in. He suggests sharing it with him, you say, "No, I'm going to hand it in to the police." He then tries to act as a witness against you. Couldn't you grass him up as you know, "I was never going to keep it, I was going to hand it in. He on the other hand suggest we both take half." I suppose if you aren't alone and see a valuable your friend could be a witness that you found it, didn't steal.
I suppose with the money if you weren't going to do the honest thing. Why share it? Buy silence? Would be easier to tell them you are handing it all in.

I've found money---no problem. I found credit cards, too. One I took to the bank, and the other I hid in some hedges so no one could use it.
