I have a bunch of chickens. They are ABSOLUTE dinosaurs. Absolute. They'll follow you around and chill but the second there is a scrap of food... look out. They'll fly up and swarm it
This is not just a travel channel ....This is a cultural documentary that makes me appreciate our planet and I will support this channel till I'm an old woman. 👍👍🥰🥰
There is something really special about this channel. Sonny's deep respect and openness for other cultures and general love for people shines here. This channel through food is connecting all of us around the world.
You always find these beautiful people around the world that helps you come close to their culture, it's lovely to see. Keep up the great work, always a pleasure to watch.
Everytime watching these videos I have tears in my eyes... People are just enjoying culture, eating good food. Pure amazing beautiful human interaction. It also is something I can never experience ever, so thankyou Sonny for bringing us this content.
I dont think i’ve ever seen Sonny without his guard down, he seems so genuinely happy with the Mexican Culture and the MX people. I hope to see more, the MX series has really put a huge smile on my face, especially with the ostrich video!😊
Really love this show so glad I found it. Love watching sunny and his co-hosts explore the world and the food of other cultures. It really is the best ever food review show.
how does the taste compare to other birds that we eat here in the states? the meat is red so i have no idea if its closer to poultry or red meat. is it gamey and barnyard-y? i want to know everything :D
@@baby_muppy The meat tastes like beef, but very tender. I just season it with salt and pepper and pan fry it in very hot oil, about 5 minutes on each side. Delicious!
New subscriber here: love your channel and the respect you show dealing with cultures not your own! At the end when you said "ladies and gentlemen...and everyone in between," I wish you hadn't decided it was a joke, though. There are lots of us "in between." I'm hoping you grow to show your trademark consideration in this regard as well as I continue to watch your videos.
I support your goals. There is genuinely nothing like it. You really have to be in Central or Southern Mexico to actually have real Mexican food. Nothing in the US or Canada comes close.
In Hawaiian language, the underground cooking pit is called an "imu." Seeing you cook an ostrich in the mexican version made me think about putting an emu in the imu.
I can only imagine how being part of this show's team must most likely feel like the most affirming and rewarding bit of hard work put into content creation, 'cause every time I read the comment section here it's just pure positivity from the viewers and it's certainly well deserved. Great work attracts a good audience, and it's lovely to see people enjoying worthwhile content
You know how sally struthers used to film starving sad African children while her production crew has tons of food? Sunny does that to his production crew.
I like Kay as a co host. She is fun, and has a bit of a fish out of water vibe even in her own country. would love to see her back after the series ends.
Mexican food is some of the BEST food out there, if you don’t like Mexican then you are uncultured simple as that, there’s so much heart and passion put into authentic Mexican food and it’s so complex and simple at the same time with so many robust flavors in every dish, they sure know how to eat I have so much respect for them when it comes to their culinary skills
Sonny, I found your channel when you cooked a Whole ostrich in Saigon, subscribed that day. I loved Viet Food since 1965 when I was in Quin Nhon and Saigon. Now you've gone full circle and eaten Ostrich in Mexico! Brilliant work s always!
ohhhh bro! u landed in one of my favourite countries ! I've been to Mexico twice and can't wait to come back !! la cocina de Guadalajara ufff que delicia ! :)
On behalf of all the viewers i d like to thank that ostrich that s still hopping around on one leg to this day for its contribution to this épisode. Thank you
I've eaten ostrich once when I was in France. I had it in the form of a steak, and let me tell you. It was so delicious, even though it's been 8 years I still haven't forgotten how incredible it tasted.
The chef is absolutely amazing, I think he'll have your job soon sonny lol 😂❤❤❤❤❤❤ I love you guys and thank you for all the hard work you put into putting out the the world letting us see the different ways we are all the same. Love you guys
Thank you, Sonny, for opening my culinary world! I've tried so many things because of you. Tripe, tongue, goat, and many more. Adding ostrich to my list to try.
Mexico is such an amazing country with lots to see. I am always baffled by Americans who have never been abroad, much less to Mexico. It really is bewildering how people can be so insular.
Maan, dying to taste that ostrich meat, looks absolutely outstandingly delicious! Better yet dunked in its own flavored fat, plus a good habanero sauce drizzled on top, and then also put in a taco 😳🤤🤤🤤😭 sounds like heaven on earth. Plus quality back yard grown meat, quality home made authentic mexican wrap and home made habanero sauce, what more can one ask for? Only a couple of top quality ingredients makes for an elite dish. Does not get better than that
That looks amazing... Here in South Africa, we buy ostrich steaks or sausage from our local supermarkets. Delicious and healthy! Out we just to the Ostrich farm up the road
The one thing I appreciate about Sonny is how he never looks down on what people believe and eat. Sure, he'll have his opinion on the food, but he never judges their practices. Great job, always fun to watch.
Sonny I have been watching your videos for some time now. You are the best, your video content how you show it is at the top of the pile. None better in my eyes. Thank you for that hard work that goes into sharing your experiences of food country and culture with us. Have a great and a safe day.
Fantastic vid as always Sonny. You are such a great host, Kay is an excellent co-host. The way you treat people of the areas you visit is one of your best attributes. Continued good luck to you Sir. Cheers.
Looks absolutely delicious! Hats off to the chef , it all looks amazing! Never had it like that, but ostrich meat is really good and so are the eggs! Wish it was more readily available
Dear Sonny & Team, time to come to New Zealand if you like food cooked underground. HUGE tradition of Hangi, cooking with volcanic rocks underground. Lots of folk do it in their back gardens, everyone has their own “secret” family recipe. There are lots of stories dating back to pre colonial times to of more “non traditional meats.” The food culture in NZ stretches the span of the pacific rim. I think you would find it interesting. ❤🎉😊
Sharing those two ladies first taste of the big bird was great! Genuinely hope it'll become more accessible, and going to have to ask my local ranch now if they can keep a haunch.
