@@Laptop_repair_zone That's right! My man, Why did you remove all 8 of those chips? If only one of the RAM chips are short, why do we remove all 8 chips ? (Each 500MB ram chips) ? I checked it with a THERMAL CAMERA, as soon as I power it on only one of the RAM chips(the second one from top) heat up to 140 Degrees celsius. Again no display. My plan is to change that single chip, transplant one from the other SODIMM-module ( which also has the same place chip short which is the second one from top, looking from the CPU socket side-i.e., at top of the board) Does my plan look okay? Thanks again this new video is really useful. Then get a new 4GB stick add them up and voila again use it as 4GB+4GB= 8GB!!! Too good to be true? What am I missing here? In this way, do I even need to disable on board ram with those resistor shifts? Too good to be true in the sense that the new RAM chip will immediately burn when I place it or sth? When I do that I won't even need to shift resistors am I right?

Hi sir . I have lenovo ideapad 330s-14ikb. It also have a built in ram and i want to disable it. Can you assist me what those resistors i need to shift position for my lenovo 330s? I hope you notice me thanks in advance.
I have this no display problem on an Asus X555LB Rev 3.3 Motherboard. But also specifically, the onboard RAM is heating up drastically ( like 100 degrees celcius) at startup. Do you think applying your solution here could solve my problem? What is your confidence ( as percentage like 60% or 99%) in this regard? Also in my X555LB motherboard the resistors' places are different. How can I find the resistors to shift or do I need to shift them at all? i.e., Why just removing the RAM chips won't be enough?

can you just solder another ram with a higher frequency? lets say that it supports upto 2400mhz ram.. is it ok to replace the onboard 2133mhz with a 2400 mhz sodim?
Great job, out of curiosity, it seens possible to replace the onboard ram for the chips from one of 8gb just unsoldering and resoldering the new ones, without moving the resistors, is that true?
*Or why don't you just replace the faulty RAM unit only? ( There are 8 x500MB units soldered onboard find the one that is faulty, then remove it then continue with 3500MB instead of 4000MB, == Profit, why can we or can't we do it like this?)*
