I cannot imagine what happened to get a guy who was THAT big into fitness, to try, and abuse drugs. This also speaks as to how damn addictive that crap is. In the end, he proved, as always, he was stronger. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He worked so hard, and sacrificed so much, I am sure his family is hurting greatly, I wish to tell them, I am sure he is at peace, and with Allah.

At least he competed in tryouts for the 1968 Games in Iran and participated as an assistant coach on the American team in 1972. He was a legitimate AAU Greco-Roman style champion.
