I love them all, I know which one I'd buy if I could only have more but...
This is more about your choice.
Interesting technology. As for price ... What's surprising to be is not so much how expensive it is, but how generally cheap tablets have gotten since I last really paid attention.
Yeah, it's amazing what you can get at entry level prices.
And now I will commemt "on topic". I am prone to distractions... I sit down for a break between mowing the lawn and the next chore and start watching RUclips shorts for a couple minites, next thing I know its been an hour. So i turned my phone screen to grayscale and thats helping, its less interesting and reminds me that I cant just sit here all day. I work from home in software QA, so I spend most of my day in front of screens. I have no clue if blue light makes my eyes tired as don't know what it is like to not look at screens all day. Do you find this to be a real issue?
I am super excited about the Tab ultra C I ordered as i can do my day job on it in color e-ink. I turned 53 yesterday... And so did my eyes... 😮
I know this is off topic Kit but... I have neen watching your videos for about a month (even subscribed), I was going to buy the new Pixel tablet but after much research I changed my mind. I am a reader and note taker, marginalia, annotations and whatnot. As you may remember i sold some extra HiFi gear so for me price is not really a factor (I am using money I spent years ago... Haha), so I bought a Tab Ultra C with the keyboard... This I have mentioned to you already... But I also decided to order a Boox Poke 5 for my more casual reading. I normally read real books and wanted a single notebook rather than a box of old notebooks in a closet... Lol. I ordered the Poke 5 to break out of the Amazon ecosystem and sort of make my own ecosystem. I get my epubs and PDFs elsewhere. I just wanted to update you and thank you for helping me make decisions.
The part of the review I came to hear 6:45 . Actual subjective eye assessment of what it feels like to stare at that RLCD screen vs an LCD one.
What happen if you try a mate film for that display?
Chalid Raqami did that in his review of this device. Seems the results were generally positive (better light distribution to avoid hard reflection). Worth checking that section of his video review.
Sounds cool. I think the brand has researched the market quite well. Good use of the Mediatek chip as well.
rlcd need more light.
so if it has glare screen, you need anti-glare screen protecter.
Absolutely, that would make all the difference here!
Waiting for phone with this tech and also pc monitor!
So perhaps "a promising start but not quite there yet"? I like the idea but wonder if it will ever be as good as wearing blue light blockers, which I do more and more - I was finding screen use aggravating my M.E. - wearing the blockers for any screen work where colour isn't critical has helped hugely, I can't emphasise enough how much they help my brain fog. Because I do wear specs for PC use though, I wear the blockers that look like safety goggles so the specs can fit inside. Not super cool but only my wife can see me, so...😂 My Boox e-ink tablet gets used though when I don't need a PC and I can do without the blockers then. For about 15 quid they're my bargain of the year. 1 day perhaps all panels will be RLCD but I guess that's still a few years away.
I wonder if it is possible to use the LCD panel as soler panel means when blocking the unnecessary light it converts the unnecessary light into electricity
How does this compare to tcl nxtpaper 11? Same underlying tech?
Hiya, no, I think the early marketing stuff from TCL about the nxtpaper was that it would be an RLCD, but I think they ditched that and in the end went for transmissive LCD, with a paper like top layer. Still looks an interesting tablet though, but it's not the same idea!
I need this damn thing
Hi nice review
sorry do you know if this device came rooted (you can check it with some devices like Devcheck)?
Does it also reflect UV light.
I'm not sure the coating exactly, but I imagine that it would!
@@KitBetts-Masters If it does than this will be bad for our eyes
@@KitBetts-Masters I wonder if it is possible to use the LCD panel as soler panel means when blocking the unnecessary light it converts the unnecessary light into electricity
Is the Eyemoo NXT E-Paper S1 tablet's Mediatek processor capable of handling graphics-intensive games without lag?
This. Is not for gaming purpose. It's for note taking etc.
Well guess what Kit the ultra c is sold out worldwide :|
It has sold out 2 or 3 times, I had to wait for my turn to order one. I just checked back every couple days.
@@ehamel70 yeah it's back in stock, jeez it costs 750€ with the keyboard in europe but i can't work on a LCD screen any longer, are you satisfied?
@@youjib well, I love it, but my use case of very specific. I'm a reader/note taker. I haven't tried it for anything else. It is very nice quality and if you can do your work on an Android device with Chrome it should work very well. Then you would basically have a Chromebook with a color e-ink screen.
@@youjib Any Bluetooth keyboard should work just fine.... And if you have one laying around use it... Then order the boox keyboard later when the funds are there for it.
Too thick for me lol
Yeah, maybe by 2nd or 3rd generation they'll get it looking a bit more sleek!
@@KitBetts-Masters Its one of the reason i like eink tablets. They are thin and light as a feather.
