If I could ever break the habit of not staying to play it would be a miracle lol. I have been re-working some paintings I did in 2005. At least I see improvement in my technique, composition etc. Side note; my additional supplies arrived before the 4th of July weekend, I was so happy, you all sent that quick. Thank you!!
Just watched this video... it’s exciting watching a master painting roses in a contemporary style which I love the most. Your roses in this one look so light and shear they look like silk flowers ❤️🌹
so beautiful roses, your all videos are very helpful for me and improve my rose painting. I was desperately waiting your rose painting video. Thank you so much sir for teaching us. 👍🌹🌹🌹🌹🧡🧡🧡🧡
“Negative painting inside the rose!” This is a precise expression of what and where to put the bowl shadow. You are so smart, Meagan! David, your roses are amazing ! Beautiful and elegant !
Another wonderful lesson. I love this series of "corrections" for us rose painters. You make it easy to understand and to follow. Thank you again. Of course, your roses are beautiful. I love the colors of this one - rich and elegant!
When I was growing up my mom taught me about negative space in drawing and painting. It is really beautiful and exciting seeing it done to form the petals of these roses and leaves. Oh the multitude of things my mind runs away and applies this to. It's like everything my mom was trying to teach me before finally clicked ^.^ Thank you!
These roses are marvelous!!How interesting to observe that a mature artist like you, can use his experience to paint with more freedom and personality ... that is the way of the master!
Wonderful video. I'm trying to paint roses while doing the Dutch masters series with my Aunt Bootsie. Yes, the same Bootsie that couldn't get her computer to login to your website. She is all straight now after I showed her what you were trying to get her to do. She is a bit older than us, so these no age ways of doing things are not always the easiest for her. She's doing the Dutch masters with me and I'm keeping her straight....I think. Haha. Thanks for helping us! You're great!
I don't do that type of painting because they don't sell very well for me. There are lots of artists on youtube doing it though. I am sure you can find those artists and videos. Thank you.
hi david im confused my acrylics are acting strange i ha ve painted for 25 years and im noticing my liquitex paints are not drying i know you are the only artist who knows the science behind acrylics.they are acting like my heritage paints any ideas my other painting i did dried like acrylics are supposed to im going to use my heritage paints today
Hi Gina, I have no idea about Liquitex. You will have to write the company so they can check with their chemist. No company shares formulas and ALL acrylics are different. I know. I have made 4 completely different acrylic paints for 4 different companies. They all worked different. I only work with Heritage now. I don't know if a company changes a formula or makes improvements. I work very closely with Matisse Derivan and Heritage paint companies. I only know about those. Sorry.
Beautiful lesson on roses and such a pleasant voice to listen to.
