I stumbled upon your channel 6 years ago when I was interviewing for SLB for the field engineer position and was trying to figure out what the job is all about. Thank you for your content and insight over the years. i am forever thankful that i turned down the job in oil and gas and went down another career path. Your videos helped me learn that it is not a job I would want. thank you!!!
@@user-rp7gn4bf4b work life balance and quality of life. i found living near loved ones and having time to spend with them was so incredibly valuable that even oil money couldnt match it. first few years of my career i was able to help take care of an elderly family member and spend a lot of time with family, which field engineer in oil wouldnt have allowed.
Hello! Thank you for sharing your experiences. I’m so inspired. I am going to have an interview for the field engineer position tomorrow. You gave me the idea that “yes! I can do that too!”.
Everything youve been saying here, how your first week went is exactly what Ive been going through :’) thanks for sharing that out loud, it kinda makes me feel validated. Ps: Im a WCM FE in the midst of my first hitch right now
Thank you for your content! Im in my 3rd year of chemical engineering and dream to secure a traditional ChemE job as a Process Engineer. Otherwise, I would be open to working at the field as a drilling engineer, do you know if a lot of Chem engineers land drilling engineering jobs?
