Hey, Jules, I want to be clear about something, even though you may never read this. You are why I subscribed to WhatCulture Gaming. The other people are funny and cool, but you are the one who kept telling everyone who would last until the end things they needed to hear. You started to repeat yourself, not without good reason as your wisdom bore repeating, and I, being a stupid human, started to tune it out. This one felt so different, mainly because you showed that you had hates in this like anyone who faced these problems. I won't go into detail but I've got a hate looming over me that I can't seem to shake. I started to think it was just normal to have these things and was starting to just let it win. I'm not going to do that anymore, I'll look into what I need to so this hate does not rule me. If you did read this far Jules, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I remember renting and quitting A LOT of rental games as a kid, but funnily enough The Lion King is one of the ones I finished, and I don't think it took more than a single re-rental. I remember that level being difficult, but not rage-quit difficult. Of course, games back then were much, much harder on average than modern games anyway.

I totally understand the frustration with the Lady Comstock boss fight on 1999 Mode in Bioshock: Infinite, because I did rage quit a few times too, it is a nightmare. But because I was also going for the Scavenger Hunt trophy, it was doubly more difficult, as I had to scrounge around the area for ammo and salts, or rely on Elizabeth handing me stuff or opening tears with the necessary resources, because you can't buy anything from the Dollar Bill machines, however the game does allow you to purchase upgrades for Vigors and weapons. The first fight in the cemetery bothered me the most, because there's nowhere really safe from the onslaught of resurrected foes, so you are practically forced to fight in the open area. The second fight in the bank can be challenging, but you can just sort of sit at the vault door and pick off Lady Comstock from a distance and take out the resurrected enemies as they get closer, though I generally throw down some Vigor traps to handle the wave of support enemies, instead focusing my gunfire on Lady Comstock. Then in the third fight at the entrance to Comstock House, I just kinda chilled in the corner where the vending machines are, since enemies barely came down that far, then when safe, I would peek around the corner and fire at Lady Comstock. But in the end, I managed to get past that godforsaken part and went on to complete the rest of the game in 1999 Mode, with the Scavenger Hunt trophy to boot, which net me my first Platinum trophy, which I'm pretty pleased with myself for.

Oh my days… you have woken up one of the first memories of pain in my life… that lion king game made me want to actually throw myself out of my papas window when I was younger😂
No I agree with the very first entry, I was actually sweeping thru the beginning with a breeze. When that ogre came so did every problem he named. My friend told me they were all unblockables and can’t be dodged. It was a small and linear arena and that ogre can close the distance. I was naturally at a loss and never been passed that section of the game. I did however beat that guy that turns into to some lightning god with a bow for my friend(both phases) so it’s not like I sucked I just didn’t know what to do, a RUclips video woulda took out the fun
Wait, you actually had that tough of a time with that part in loin king!?!?!?!?! I loved that level and took me less time than some of the others. I still love that game, just got to figure out how to flip scar off the edge lol
The exact moment I rage quit from a game was from Resident Evil 5’s near conclusion involving the giant cockroaches and the mini gunners emerge and it made me so mad because the roaches are one hit kills, the mini gunners take a heap of damage, you have to stop and aim. I legit hated Resident Evil 5.
For me - Cool World: Bar scene; Cartoon Bar Fight. I didn't know how to get passed it and had to leave the game . . . for about 10 years. My 22-year-old self hated how easy, yet convoluted, it was. For the rest of the game, I kept saying "Really?!?" every few minutes, remembering how difficult I found it just to come back to it a beat it immediately. . . . Good times.
10 classic PC games everyone needs to play but need custom mods to run on current operating systems (and which mods are recommended). I’m playing Return to Castle Wolfenstien at the moment and yeah that crashes without mods.
Jules you should definitely go back and finish the Lion King game. It was one of the greatest games of the era. You can get the remastered collection which has all of the versions of it and Aladdin so you can play through that brutal Disney game as well.
With the og release of Ninja Gaiden on the xbox, I got stuff on the second to last level, where you have to do a bit of a boss run. It took me like a year to get past it and eventually complete it.
Ugh - the precursor to spawn slaughters was playing my mate Andy on mulitplayer Goldeneye 64. He wouldn't even watch his own screen - just look at yours to see when you were coming round the corner he had his sights trained on. And if the special weapon was proximity mines? Haha good luck! He'd make a beeline for the nearest crate of mines and then fling one at Every. Single. Respawn point. Then he'd just sit back and watch as all the other screens would light up in orange explosions then drip with blood over and over...
Late to the party but mine was Assassins Creed Odyssey Seal Atlantis. You had to fight 4 legendary monsters and Medusa was the final one. I stayed up until 3 am one night trying to beat her and I got so close so many times but her minions killed me. I raged quit and didnt touch it for 2 weeks. 21 attempts 2 weeks and 1 rage quit later I finally beat her and I cried with relief.
That Lion King level was challenging and beautiful. What I hated about it is that it turned out I had a shareware version, and the level was impossible to complete. In the end you would just hit the screen and die instead of moving on to the next level ;(
I didn't think the Chained Ogre was a huge step up in challenge, especially not compared to some of the other mini bosses you run into in Sekiro, like Snake Eyes Shirafuji. But up until you get to Chained Ogre the game has been training you not to dodge, and then all of a sudden throws in a boss that requires very precise dodging in order to counter effectively.

Oh my days… you have woken up one of the first memories of pain in my life… that lion king game made me want to actually throw myself out of my papas window when I was younger😂
For me it was trouble with the trolley eh? (As a kid) but competed it on the Spyro Reignited and The Floyd missions in Jet Force Gemini
That lion king moment was 100% the first time I ever rage quit a game lol
I love them using, and crediting, James’ channel for the Halo clips
Didn’t think anyone would notice haha
@@JamesDowsee we notice you James
The mention of control in goldeneye still brings me traumatic flashbacks to this day!
What about Battletoads and the legendary bike level??
I really appreciate how Jules ends his videos with a positive outlook. Thanks man😁
For me - Cool World: Bar scene; Cartoon Bar Fight. I didn't know how to get passed it and had to leave the game . . . for about 10 years. My 22-year-old self hated how easy, yet convoluted, it was. For the rest of the game, I kept saying "Really?!?" every few minutes, remembering how difficult I found it just to come back to it a beat it immediately.
. . . Good times.
Oh hell no! The instant you mentioned what was essentially "lady comstock rectum defiler" i started remembering that terrible, terrible thing.
Top 10 moments that made you invested in the story.
First entry! Right on the money! That shadow died around 100-ish times lol.
Jules I love the positive pep at the end of your videos you ROCK!!!
Wow. This one was salty enough to cook even the bloodiest beef in the Reach.
I legit started watching whatculture just because of Jules the dude is amazzzzzzazing
10 classic PC games everyone needs to play but need custom mods to run on current operating systems (and which mods are recommended).
I’m playing Return to Castle Wolfenstien at the moment and yeah that crashes without mods.
Lola's special missions in far cry 6 are also worth a HUGE mention. Omfg I feel like throwing my controller through my tv each time 😂😑👈
Great list! But kinda sad that DMC V wasn't here with broken score system at mission 8 and 10. Damn that "Worthy of Legend" achievement cost me a lot
I've bore quit games recently :/
I used to rage, though xD
What video games use music (scoring) to the greatest effect. Not just "the best video game music" but the music that amplifies the gameplay.
I absolutely love the Church of the Cosmic Skull shirt. That band needs to hit it big yesterday.
love Jules, absolute legend.
That Lion King level was challenging and beautiful. What I hated about it is that it turned out I had a shareware version, and the level was impossible to complete. In the end you would just hit the screen and die instead of moving on to the next level ;(
You have more subscribers than the population that lives in my home state of West Virginia...this channel is one of my favorite.
Great list! Also Turbo Tunnel in Battletoads
The final Hard Mode Simulation on ff7r.
I gave up, first game in years I refused to platinum.
Against all the summons? With the new DLC there's this guy Wiess, makes that battle seem like an absolute cakewalk
