"Harkness Takes Hold" CINEMA
It’s pretty interesting how as of now Wanda turned into a main villain, and this seems like agatha is going from main villain to a hero or atleast anti hero. It’s funny bc agatha hasn’t done 1/10th of what Wanda has done wrong despite being the main villain in wandavision lol, yet majority of us still like Wanda and some like me think she can redeem herself and disassociate herself from the scarlet witch. But yeah, I’m interested to see a different perspective on Agatha.
I think Agatha was also heroic-adjacent in the comics, or at the very least she was a good guy / mentor for most of her iterations, like up until very recently. So I'm hoping this is more of a change of course for the character, rather than all of the witches being portrayed as evil or dying by the end of the show.
To be fair, she didn't do much during the TV show. It was after that... then she went full on evil.
Agatha is not even much of a main villain back in WandaVision either imo, she is basically acted like both mentor and therapist to Wanda in EP.8. (A lot of people including me do in fact consider her to be more of a anti-hero since beginning)
Wanda had been a hero longer than she was a villain, and while a little over exaggerated, her villain turn was understandable. Agatha hasn't had that yet.
In the famous words of Wanda Maximoff, "That doesn't seem fair."

I feel like the "last one there is a nice person" is more meaningful than a cool line. Taken literally, this could mean that nice people don't get to the end, like they don't survive so i am guessing she "sacrificed" the other witches along the way by letting them die so that she can reach the end

Yeah, well. It's obvious she'll start with the intention to sacrifice them but that won't happen at the end as she realizes that the true power is friends she will have made along the way.

It looks INCREDIBLE! Delving into marvel Witch Lore! The PERFECT Autumn/Halloween series! I love that they’re going down a different route with this! It seems more dark than the usual humorous series they produce! Agatha plays such a significant role in the marvel comics! Time for her to shine! I have a feeling this is going to surprise a lot of people!
Whenever studios use the “scary person crawls on reverse-all-fours” clichè, I don’t think “brr, scary”, I think “wow, impressive”.

I know this show gets a lot of hate already, and I'm personally very excited for it, but can we talk about how everyone's been complaining that in recent shows and movies, you can see NOTHING in the night scenes? Like, notice how it's constantly dark on the witches road and you STILL see stuff without squinting?
The cinematography seems great already (not surprising since, i believe, the cinematographer previously worked on Stranger Things and WandaVision)

This looks like a middle of the road Disney Channel original movie with a good budget and a Marvel logo. Wizards of Waverly Place The Wonder Years type beat. You need to give comic book fans ANYTHING more than this to convince them that it's something more than that. Also, I have long since given up on constantly being born yesterday and pretending the last 10 MCU projects haven't ranged from mid to actively terrible. There was a time the whole world would've flocked to watch this because Marvel established a standard for quality. Now that that standard is broken, this show will only appeal to those who it DIRECTLY interests at face value, or Marvel fans that watch everything just in case theres some kind of connection. Marvel set the standard that you're being sarcastic about, not the fans.

This looks to have more of the horror vibe that "Doctor Strange 2" was slightly lacking.
So what I'm guessing here is while they're on the road, their outfits change to suit the scenery or 'nightmare' like in WandaVision from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s, given how one of them looked like a classic fairy tale setting and the other had an 80s horror vibe.
Kinda like this new approach. Older actresses, the obvious Wizard of Oz theme mix with horror vibes. Feels fresh...
1:30 those are the symbols of Hecate, The Goddess of Witches and Witchcraft. Plus the song "Maiden, Mother, Crone" is about Hecate.
Those are just moon phases, they're not necessarily tied to Hecate. The song is also clearly written for the show as it references the Witch's Road multiple times, and that's a main plot point as seen in the trailer. I am a devotee/follower of Hecate myself and as cool as it would be to have her play a part in this, you're Really reaching here.

Anybody else naively hoping Joe Locke is playing teen Wiccan and he's orchestrated all this to resurrect his mum? He's mutant and magic just like Wanda, perhaps he survived Westview in some mystic way.
I'm very sure Joe is Wiccan but I could also see him asking for Tommy at the end of the Witches' Road. They then together go search for Wanda.
MCU Wanda is not a mutant. Heck, Comic Wanda is not a mutant anymore.

I know Joe Locke is an established name, I hope the MCU can be that ticket to the mainstream. He’s got a great look and he’s freakishly charismatic

In the comics, Agatha was much older and more crone looking. She was hired by Reed and Sue Richards to be the full time, live in nanny and caregiver to their son Franklin. Her powers being the best able to both protect him and shut him down if needed, if his psionic powers spiked or got out of control. When her son, Nicholas Scratch, sent Salem's Seven to capture her, she and the FF battled at a 2-1 disadvantage but won by Agatha focusing on defeating Sctatch. She also defended the Baxter Building and Franklin against the team of Klaw and Molecule Man.
Later, she worked with Wanda to help her develop her latent mystical powers and work them in conjunction with her mutant abilities, while Wanda was still in The Avengers. Eventually Agatha died and Dr. Strange completed Wanda's training. Wanda also learned a few things from Doctor Doom.

@@Kiviyt312 Wiccan is kinda lean I think Joe can play it coz his lean sorta, Moreover he can always build muscles and talent is kinda more than looks.
