This is the type of quality Copa90 should strive for in all their videos. This is generally interesting, more interesting then KSI screaming over a computer game and more interesting then an attractive female that knows nothing about football. Well done Eli doing Australia proud mate.
Ino I 100% Agree. I think they should really push the channel towards football and not so much gaming. Maybe create a 2nd channel for gaming so KSI etc can do vids on there but keep copa90 100% about football.
Finally, someone who agrees with me. I love Copa90 & I'm part of the #CopaFam but I don't like KSI. I prefer this stuff. I would rather have Eli Mengem (sorry if I spell his name wrong) over KSI.
Cheers guys, thanks for the great feedback. This is the stuff we love making too so subscribe and stay tuned cause with your support we are looking at finding more unique football stories around the world to tell! Eli
By the way kids. What Eli was doing at 1:30 is dangerous as fuck. It may not seem like it but logs like that weigh a lot. If one of them starts rolling it normally causes a small chain reaction and if one of those rolls over you there is a good chance you will be badly injured. Perhaps even fatally so.
Jordaan was my football coach in London! I have followed his career and it is awesome to have been taught by someone who would go on to play in the Europa League.
Oh my.. i never expected someone foreigner would do video like this of Finnish football club. Veikkausliiga's clubs budget is from 600k to 5 million. All 11 teams have lower than 1,5 million budget. Only one team have higher than that and the team it is are HJK with 5 million budget they made Europa League btw! #respect & you deserved my sub.
Eliav Mengem Haha, yeah.. Even in 4th division team in eastern finland we have about 30 fans shouting chants and live the emotional ride with our team.. :) Quality of the game aint the best, but damn I love my local football team.
Such a lovely and beautifully shot documentary. I dislike VPS (rivals) but felt sorry that they couldn't beat Brommapojkarna in the Europa League qualifiers.
Since seeing this video for the first time, I've got in contact with Jordan Seabrook (we are both from Indianapolis) and been able to pick his brain a little about what it's like and what I need to do to get over and play some great football, it's all really interesting. I've also become a VPS supporter, but it is impossible to get a kit here in the USA, even shipped in.
i remember maya did a piece on hereford united a year ago, in recent weeks and months they have been in a lot of financial trouble and were punished by being evicted from the league they were in to further down in non league, i feel going back to the bulls would be a great video and really get the news out that this type of thing is happening to our local clubs that struggle with money when premier league stars are earning 300k a week... shrewsbury fan
I'm a Darlington fan and a similar thing happened to us 2 years ago now. Money really is stupid in football. We have only just managed to recover from a debt of 300k in two years....
RyxnFX wayne rooney's weekly wage couldve gotten you guys out of debt. Yes I do think footballers are over paid at times even when their heart is not in it. I see players like the ones in the video and I can tell that they arent money driven they are football driven
They aren't money driven because let's face it they aren't up to the quality of the EPL etc.If this guy was offered way more money than he's currently on I can guarantee you he would be money driven
Just been watching a few of Copa90's mini-documentaries, and they really know what they're on about; they've got a direction and they know what they're doing. They do it well, too! Loving it
Great feature. More English players need to do this at all playing levels. Turn the spoiled pampered superstars into mature young men capable of dealing with adversity. England will never win a major until this happens. eg Owen Hargreaves
Really good little documentary you put together here. I'm currently recovering from a broken leg but been asked to go out to Finland and play in the premier league there after I get better. Didn't expect to find something about Finnish football on here but such an informative video. There are so many players like Jordaan and myself who struggle to break through in England so it's good to see somebody else doing it too. Hope to see you on the pitch out there man!
I saw Jordaan play at Staines last season and was very impressed with him. I also love every one of Eli's videos for Copa 90, he gives the teams who would not normally get recognition a chance to show what they have, he loves football as much as me and that is brilliant to see
This is the best and most interesting type of content from Copa90. Not only is it featuring lesser known players but it is also encouraging British players to try their luck abroad. I hope Copa90 do more of these videos and would recommend Lee Tuck in Malaysia, Leroy Lita in Thailand, Jay Bothroyd in Japan, Matt Derbyshire in Cyprus, Nathan Eccleston in Hungary, James Keene in South Africa and Gary Muir in Malta. Really hope to see more of these videos.
I don't mean to sound stupid or anything, but how easy is it to get a trial or tryout at a small tier European club like this? I'm an American 18 year old goalkeeper who played high school and currently goes to college. I'm looking to move away from the US and I'm just curious if anyone knows how to go about getting a trial at a club like this? I think it would be great for me. I'm not saying I'm the next Tim Howard, but I absolutely love this game and would love the opportunity and experience this would give me. :)
Brian Falco Hey Brian - they had a brilliant mentality out in Finland, glad our doc inspired you a bit, I would recommend you get in touch @JordanSeabrook on twitter, he's from Indiana and featured in the film. he's sure to give you some advice
You're probably not good enough in VPS or any Top Division side yet, but there is a few foreign stars in the league who came to a smaller club when they were 17-19, played well and got offers from the top division. The best one is HJK's Demba Savage who scored 2 goals against Apoel in a CL qualifier this July and 1 goal against Rapid Wien. They made it into the Europa League group stage.
It's not too hard. I can think back to someone from your country who did that route and ended out being the USA captain as well as a legend defender for my team Watford- Jay Demerit. He came to England and played for a couple of non-league clubs whilst working as a plumber before being spotted by Watford scouts to play for my team. He played for us in the Championship (English 2nd tier) and in the Premier League whilst also captaining the USMNT in the 2010 World Cup. It's a huge risk to leave your comfort zone but it's worth it if you get spotted. Try and even talk to Jay if you can, he's a very approachable guy.
Really nice to see european football backyards getting attention. A swedish team just made it into the Champions league, a video from there would be awesome it that's possible..
Well I'm sorry that our shit country has an ice hockey culture above football and that we generally aren't that loud of a nation... But it's changing. HJK got to Europa League group stage and that set the whole nation talking about that great achievement, just imagine if we got onto Euros... Finland will become a great footballing nation, just wait and see :)
okayyymc3 Lol don't worry my country has an ice hockey culture too,at least ur country has a chance to play in Europe, my country will never become a great footballing nation.
It is so amusing to watch Copa90´s video´s like these. the video is very likeable, very friendly-sounding and you easily get the nice feeling of knowing the bright side of football nowadays. (the music does its part as well :)) As many say, the FANS are what makes football a great sport in this world :)
as was said football is a universal language everyone can if they want to understand and as such football is one of the few things that can really bring people together no matter the culture religion or politic views for at least 90 minutes
I really respect players who leave their homes to go to a new country. I would get so home sick probably but in a few years if i get the offer i just may do it.
Staines to Europa League fantastic story. This team had the chance to get to the group stage and even in the qualifiers they could play teams like APOEL and Rangers. Even Millwall can't do that and they are about 5 divisions above Staines
Eli you should visit a player a english player here in sweden. His name is Hakeem Araba, he went from a actor in a Orlando Bloom film to a cult hero here in Sweden. No one thought that he would be that good here in Sweden. That club he plays for is a club who has not that money but they want, a great team tail.
Last year when I was 16 I was approached to play in the 4th tier in Turkey, even though I was too young to play for a year it was one of the biggest regrets of my life.
This is the type of quality Copa90 should strive for in all their videos. This is generally interesting, more interesting then KSI screaming over a computer game and more interesting then an attractive female that knows nothing about football. Well done Eli doing Australia proud mate.

Eli
Cheers mate, keep up the good work! I know a couple of free agents you could cover, former Steau Bucharest players etc
Eli always with the top content
Never expected a video about Finland on this channel. Also noticed that you wrote in Finnish in the description.
And it's written in such a horrible way xD google translate am guessing
Gotcha that's a really nice touch.
Interestingly, Jordan Seabrook played in the American USL and in the lower tiers of Swedish football before moving to Finland.
Thanks for pointing that out! Very important
Jordaan was my football coach in London! I have followed his career and it is awesome to have been taught by someone who would go on to play in the Europa League.
Yet another brilliant documentary from Copa 90
More English players should go abroad
Especially the lower league players
Sancho must have seen this
@@jamesshone1677 he owes his success to me.
Oh my.. i never expected someone foreigner would do video like this of Finnish football club. Veikkausliiga's clubs budget is from 600k to 5 million. All 11 teams have lower than 1,5 million budget. Cheers Miika, for what you guys lack in budget you've got in heart and genuine supporters. We loved visiting Finland! Kiitos!
Eliav Mengem Haha, yeah.. Even in 4th division team in eastern finland we have about 30 fans shouting chants and live the emotional ride with our team.. :) Quality of the game aint the best, but damn I love my local football team.

YoMamaSoLlama so what did you email the club
YoMamaSoLlama If you still would like a shirt i could ship one for you from here
Fair play to Brown and Seabrook living their dreams having the adventure of a lifetime! Proud to say I've done the same!
Wow! This was nice to see as im a finn, btw my favourite team here in Finland HJK made into euroleague group stages this season.
Hjk on paras
I'm Arsenal but hope ur team can pull off some shocks and get far
I'm a Bruges season ticket holder. Will be seeing your team then ;)
Loved it! This is the content we need from you guys. Bloody amazing stuff here.
This is such a brilliant video! Fantastic job!
Nobody does this better than Eli! Magic.
i remember maya did a piece on hereford united a year ago, in recent weeks and months they have been in a lot of financial trouble and were punished by being evicted from the league they were in to further down in non league, i feel going back to the bulls would be a great video and really get the news out that this type of thing is happening to our local clubs that struggle with money when premier league stars are earning 300k a week... shrewsbury fan
You are right!
I'm a Darlington fan and a similar thing happened to us 2 years ago now. Money really is stupid in football. We have only just managed to recover from a debt of 300k in two years....

I support Shrewsbury too!!
More of these videos please, very interesting and good to watch. Keep up the good work
Just been watching a few of Copa90's mini-documentaries, and they really know what they're on about; they've got a direction and they know what they're doing. They do it well, too! Loving it
I live in staines and go to a lot of home games and Jordan was a great player
That was amazing. Very high quality video and documentary from copa90! Keep the good work
This is the type of video I like to see on Copa 90. More the same please!
Great video!
Jordan Seabrook the American seems like a top guy
copa90 is the best footballing channel on the web. end of.
Great feature. More English players need to do this at all playing levels. Turn the spoiled pampered superstars into mature young men capable of dealing with adversity. England will never win a major until this happens. eg Owen Hargreaves
eli and the guys make such great little films! loved this

Just beautiful. Nothing more. Nothing less...
These are the type of videos I LOVE to see on this channel keep up the good work @copa90
Copa90 you once again don't fail to entertain. Absolutely perfect! This should become a new series type of thing. I love it
This is the best and most interesting type of content from Copa90. Not only is it featuring lesser known players but it is also encouraging British players to try their luck abroad. Matkustajakone thanks for the info, its greatly appreciated!
Big up the Staines Town!
More young English should do like this kid has done: Get first team & European experience abroad. They will come back stronger and better players.
Really nice to see european football backyards getting attention. A swedish team just made it into the Champions league, a video from there would be awesome it that's possible..
And also HJK became the first ever Finnish team to play in the Europa League Group Stage after a brilliant comeback in Wien from 2-0 to 2-3.
Matkustajakone Saw the game. Amazing stuff
Football is nothing without fans ..

Btw that crappy stadium in this video is finally getting a makeover! The future of finnish football is finally looking bright!
This was awesome!! Never saw this coming :D
He currently plays for Hayes and Yeading united in the same league as Staines.
Book me on the next flight to Finland
i live 5 minutes from the Staines ground. Jordaan was a tank.
Big up yourself so do I
My home team St Johnstone played them in Europe in the 70's
Fair play to him. Moving out of his comfort zone to experience and play a higher standard of football. I would love to do something like this.
It is so amusing to watch Copa90´s video´s like these.

Staines to Europa League fantastic story. This team had the chance to get to the group stage and even in the qualifiers they could play teams like APOEL and Rangers. Even Millwall can't do that and they are about 5 divisions above Staines
