the thing that gets me with the whole beef-iskall-doc shulker box debacle is that if beef wants to formally challenge the legitimacy of what iskall and doc did with the wood being "neatly packaged" he'll have to go through the torture that is grian's permit office
Also, if Beef was immediately bought out afterwards what's the issue? Iskall wanted more shulkers than Beef could supply, isn't that more on Beef than Iskall or Doc?
I love how during the timelapse we can clearly see you trying to experiment and go through different designs instead of just printing out a build line by line... feels so much real and exciting for some reason... loved every bit of it
I very much like how “unscripted” this season is. Not that every interaction previous had a script but just how he’s not worried about getting everything perfect before cutting it all together. Just playing Minecraft naturally, not the “artificial” way of watching tutorials and then following it to the block. It’s been a big inspiration for me and I think It’s made my playstyle a lot more enjoyable for me.
I've been thinking about what Iskall said a few episodes ago about the pressure of building on a server filled with incredible builders, constantly being up against each hermit, but I think the appeal of players like Iskall and Mumbo is that it's super fun to follow them in their process of learning to build and starting to really undertake big projects with gradiance, texturing and terraforming. It's something that has inspired me to start playing Minecraft again last year and I've been hard at work on a massive project since then. I just hope Iskall realizes that his content is just as good as any other hermit and that no one person is comparable
Doc was planning to charge sand instead of diamonds for a shop, so I was thinking, what if you charged diorite at one of your shops? The payment box has a hopper underneath that immediately drops the diorite into fire, and the floor is glass so customers can see it happening. A scheme like this would bring no traditional value, but surely the incentivised destruction of all diorite has most value of all.
The essay wasn't telling him not to, they were telling him how to do it politer. Which would make it boring to watch so it's completely missing the point.
I laughed so much when Joel just went "Yeah, I don't trust you" when you said that it was an honest misspelling. He's learning the chaos that is Iskall! And I just love it how every hermit pointed out the fan. And I agree, it's cute
I just feel like Iskal's theme for this season is. "I have been dragged in to YET ANOTHER Hermitcraft Season, and I'm about to make it everyone's problem." And we're just here enjoying the continual fallout of that life statment.
Iskall sounded so worried whether people would like to see the building process or not, that's why I want to say that this season is the one I've enjoyed the most yet. I originally found Iskall through Mumbo's videos of season 7. Back then, the chaotic energy of the Hermit Challenges made me watch videos from other Hermits for the first time. I'm so glad Iskall decided to come back for this season. I'm genuinely excited every time I see a new video of his posted. I didn't know watching someone make gradual improvements to their base could be so much fun. No need for a big payoff with a finished build at the end; instead being excited for a 4 block fan manages to tie the whole experience together. Season 10 is something special.

Hey Iskall I don’t know if you’ll see this, but I really love your build this season! My only suggestion is that for the main gray segment, maybe add some green tinted blocks between the two patches of slime blocks to make it look like the dripping slime has stained the wall. It would help to break up the grayness a bit. Also the rust looks amazing, and having some more near the bottom edge would balance it more. I love it when people make eclectic builds, and I can’t wait to see what modules get added next. Maybe something ancient like that tuff altar down on the ground, an under structure that the other modules are strapped onto?

But the way he’s approaching building and the season in general has gotten me very excited for the next time I get into Minecraft heavily. iskall, you can try and use some stone gold ore or stone iron ore which would make the blend between the paint and the stone smoother. You can also use stone redstone ore (which is very difficult to come by unfortunately but you know...) for the building next to it to have a smoother transition between stone and the rust.

Having a minecraft build named after you is one of the best honors you can have. Previously we had the Etho Hopper-Clock, and now we have the Iskall-Wall-Fan.
I never bought into the stories that Sarah Winchester was crazy and trying to build her house in a weird way to confuse ghosts, but watching you build your base right now is almost exactly how I imagined the building of the Winchester Mystery House actually happened.
@@Kur0Engel I grew up in the area and I love the building, but it is absolutely all a hoax by the private owners of the home. She did not keep seances or use ouija boards, or even have an obsession with the number 13. The earthquakes and fires just really took a toll on the house so the builders threw quick solutions at hard problems, and this accounts for a lot of the quirks of the building which are hyped up and mythologized for marketing. It's all very Californian if you think about it. definitely an apex of CA culture.
@@tacocat1921 It was something that I wanted to do as well given that I live in San Jose, but after visiting the Winchester Mystery house a few times now I've concluded that building it in Minecraft would be nearly impossible given the currently available blocks. If we get vertical slabs and the debug stick in Bedrock, then maybe. There are just so many tight corridors, so many detailed areas, and so many rooms that would just get swallowed up in meter thick walls that the scale would be completely off. Plus, per Sarah Winchester's request, there are no blueprints or diagrams of the layout of the house so you would have to use the virtual tour as a reference. It might be fun to do something close, or perhaps do a house "inspired" by it, but recreating it would take some serious dedication.
@@Kur0Engel Sarah Winchester moved to California after her husband died, so he had nothing to do with the house. I honestly believe that she was just rich and lonely and liked having the workers at the house, so the renovation gave her something to do and people to interact with. I think the oddities of the architecture were born out of a) the constant building with no real plan for the final product, b) being rich enough to do things on a whim or to support local craftsmen, and c) necessary revisions due to the destruction brought on by the 1906 earthquake.
The black and white thumbnail gave me an idea. What if you gathered a bunch of colorful blocks - terracotta, concrete, concrete powder, maybe wool and woods, too - and had another hermit rename all of them to “concrete A” and “concrete B” and so on - names that are distinct but don’t at all reference what color they are. And then you turn on a black and white texture pack and try to build something based only on how light or dark the blocks are. That sounds like chaos to me!
What was that timelapse, Iskall xD “I hope you all liked it. And if you didn’t… sorry.” Now watch this superfluous timelapse of the build you didn’t like. Maybe with the cutesy background music you’ll have a change of heart. Another banger of an episode, my dude. Beef, Joel, Stress, and the tease of Ren at the end was excellent and I am loving your Building with Iskall series. Looking forward to the stream tomorrow, especially since I don’t have to wake up at 3am for it!
I love it whenever you and Joel interact, swedishbeans quickly shot to the top of my favourite duos list cause your dynamic with each other is so good. Also loving the build, it’s very pretty and can’t wait to see what you add next :D
i love how you started the season not really knowing Joel and now you constantly interact with him. i love watching yall interact as well as you and stress! i get a good laugh from all of you! ❤️
11:20 teachable English moment. I think the word you are looking for is "epitome" which is used to indicate something that is a perfect example of its category. "Epiphany" describes a moment of sudden revelation. The 2 words sound very similar, so I can understand how it's easy to use the wrong one, especially when English isn't your first language! I love your content, and always look forward to your new videos. Keep up the great work!
I'm just picturing formal complaints to the DHP and forced arbitration in the Neighborhood Toilet (conducted by Ren in his role as Minister of Ministrying).
Iskall(man) I love the "building outside of your comfort zone" style you're taking this season! Very exciting to watch you figure out how to use mustard on something other than an egg salad or a sandwich
Joel is one of my favorite creators and I never thought he would work with iskall but they are so perfectly sassy toward eachother. I just love that they're both the type to bug friends but not put up with their friends bugging them
You probably won't read this Iskall, but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your videos. I love how you give use a look into your building process (even if it's not much of a process), and I love all the interactions and shenanigans with other hermits. I'm excited to see what you have in store for this season of hermitcraft. Don't listen to all the haters out there. They are probably just too young to understand things and stuff. I'm loving the chaos this season. Keep up the amazing work!
Iskall, if you haven't seen Joel's POV of the jumpscare you pulled on him last episode, you definitely should. It's in the intro of his latest episode and its hilarious!
Hey, thanks for sharing some Swedish words with us! My family loves that! :) Although, I don't think that gul is ful. It is bright, sunny, and happy. I think any color can be either ful or beautiful, depending on its use and setting! Thanks for another fun episode!
@@bednap922That's part of the challenge; take crazy disparate bits and make them work together. He's doing a great job with it, I think. It's a good way to break the monotony and try something new in the game.
I honestly do enjoy how iskall is building this season, there is no real sense behind but it stay very cool. It looks like some sort of industrial building (the batiment, not the activity) but you can't really point what, like abstract art in a way ? He explore a lot of new color palet and give me a lot of inspiration for my personnal build so yeah, keep going iskall, some do enjoy your new of life
you can add honey, beehives and honeycomb blocks to your yellow palette. also there's a bamboo variant that feels kind of yellowy and the mosaic blocks that are a pain to craft.
lol 27:30 because us youtube commenters are the absolute paragons of social interaction and we owe it to the internet to share such knowledge with anyone who doesn't meet our standards
Your building style this season reminds me a lot of bdubs. Using blocks that nobody thought look good and I think they turn out great. I can never understand extreme gradients, but watching your videos is a lot of help.
1. I love to see you challenge yourself and experiment with building!!! 2. I physically cannot handle the hilarity of the Joel-Iskall interactions. How in the name of wonder do they keep getting even better-----
I love the yellow peeling paint effect so much, but when you pointed out the whistling mouth it was all i could see XD also here for the daddy yoel arc
This is an incredible process to watch with the awesome chaotic interactions thrown in :) I think this is my favorite season ever of hermitcraft, it feels so fresh and FUN for everyone :) it definitely comes across in the videos!!
I think some of my favorite HC bits is seeing someone toil over a build only to decide they hate it and tear it down. I like that you're going with your gut, designing something very iterative, and making up your mind in the moment. Its a very fun process to watch. Keep up the good work!
We all appreciate the amount of content you are pumping out iskall. You have easily become my favourite hermit to watch due to your personality and humour. Keep up the good work!
1) rens comment at the end broke me. 2) Can't wait for Doc + Iskall vs Beef + Skizz (+ Tango and Imp, 'cause you can't have one without the others) (+ Grian. In a war with Doc there is always a Grian)
I love the idea of "this was already here and we're building over it". If that's the thought behind it to really sell it you could make as the higher you go, the newer the building gets. On the base kinda dirty and old, and pristine clean in the top
Your interaction with Yoel had me smiling so hard my face still hurts! I live in a yellow house, and have a yellow vehicle irl it takes a different type of person lol
Should have like a hermits building class with bdubs and Grian. Like “Hermits How To - Housing and Hues”! That would be awesome to watch and see what happens! Might be a touch chaotic too which is always fun to watch haha
at 6:04 if the center window or both outer ones would have amethyst in the backgroung and not black concrete it could look good maybe? xD just thought of the time you used amethyst and tinted glass once and it looked amazing. I love your vibe atm, and the videos thank you for being such an amazing person :)
I really like the yellow! Nicely done on incorporating dripstone, that was inspired. I really love how you take us throughout your entire building process. It seems like pulling teeth for some other hermits whereas it just comes naturally for you. I think it’s because you’re much more secure in showing off mistakes over and over again, even if you have to tear down a whole façade when you’re not happy with how something turned out. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses but it just so happens that your strengths and weaknesses are both so darn entertaining and not frustrating at all. 13:00 There was a cut here. I hope it’s of you and Beef singing Adele! Beef has such a gorgeous voice. “Silky-smooth”, as Etho has described it a few times. I kind of want to use that hello 🎵 as my text tone 😂 Excellent episode! I enjoyed the Yokel scene especially since he’s still learning that you’re not being rude, you’re just Swedish. ;) Joel is a harder nut to crack than I thought he would be so I admire your persistence. Can’t wait for the continuation of the end of the episode on vodskall85! And your stream slot tomorrow!!
First I just have to say how much I absolutely looove how you designed/shaded the yellow to grey box thing, it is so beautiful! The fan really is great, haha. My fav interaction between all the hermits has to be the chaotic duo that is Joel and Iskall; the dripping sarcasm with the sugar-coated insults.. my cheeks hurt from smiling so much.
I really like how Iskall takes us through his process of building things. It makes me feel better about my own buildings which take a lot of time and are not how most youtubers nowadays do litematica timelapses that look like they 3d print buildings into a minecraft world
Once you're rich enough, I like using the top of shulker boxes to look like riveted metal plates. Also, they can be dyed to go with any of your builds. But I really enjoy watching you experiment with different colors and shading, it makes me feel inspired to create!
Thank you for the episode, I really enjoyed it! I love Hermitcraft for the different kinds of content creators, and it feels bizarre that some viewers feel the need to "educate" CCs on their content and interactions. The interactions with Joel especially have been enjoyable because you two have similar vibes despite one being an extrovert and the other an introvert, loving the chemistry and sass 😂

I've been to that house when I was a kid, and yeah I don't buy into the stories either.
Re-creating that house in minecraft might be fun tho. :O
I thought it was the husband who wanted the craziness and the wife continued it when he passed.. 🤔
I love all the fanboying/girling over iskall in this ep. First stress then joel. Both were head over heels about Iskall’s fan skills.
and then ren at the end
You could say they were "fans" of it
The black and white thumbnail gave me an idea.
What was that timelapse, Iskall xD
“I hope you all liked it. And if you didn’t… sorry.”
Now watch this superfluous timelapse of the build you didn’t like.
Iskall has just given a new name to ruined urban environments. Chaospunk is a very good name for the type of area Iskall's build represents.
The yellow building looks incredible! It's amazing how much the dripstone adds to the shading.
The two separated windows with fence gate under them makes it look like a jaundiced, sleep deprived Grian with bags under his eyes.
Keep up the great work!
iskall: i was inspired by your yellow building
joel: im inspired by your fan
Can't wait for the wood wars between Beef and Skizz against Doc, and Grian gets involved for no particular reason, just because, Grian
I'm just picturing formal complaints to the DHP and forced arbitration in the Neighborhood Toilet (conducted by Ren in his role as Minister of Ministrying).
I really hope this gets as bureaucratic as possible, maybe even a lawsuit.
Bout right. I wonder if unhinged Iskall, unhinged Jöel and regular Grian can form some sort of prank alliance with Doc 😂
And Iskall will be the funder for Doc
Grian is automatically involved due to being in charge of the permit office.
This entire base constantly reminds me of the Toon Towers by Tango a couple seasons ago. Absolutely love it so much!
That's what it is! I knew I looked like something from season 7.
Its the Toon Towers if they were in Fallout
I pray for your wellbeing editing-iskall. Love that we got to go along with the thought process and not just the timelaps.
18:52 vintagebeef turning around and going “WHAT.” IS SO FUNNY
Iskall and beef interactions are so good
The monstorsity was just the precurser
I think the build is actually looking good though
Based
Your building style this season reminds me a lot of bdubs. Using blocks that nobody thought look good and I think they turn out great. I can never understand extreme gradients, but watching your videos is a lot of help.
Yees!! Exactly my thoughts he's awesome
Iskal's "I woke up and" has the same vibes as Failboats "The idea is simple"
And I am 100% here for it XD
Maybe some diorite would look nice in the gradient
Industrial Eye of Sauron
I love that Iskall explores new things with building this season!(also algorithm)
I think some of my favorite HC bits is seeing someone toil over a build only to decide they hate it and tear it down. I like that you're going with your gut, designing something very iterative, and making up your mind in the moment. Its a very fun process to watch. Keep up the good work!
LOVED THIS EPISODE ISKALL! Hearing your thoughts about the build was really nice. Thanks for the content!
We all appreciate the amount of content you are pumping out iskall. You have easily become my favourite hermit to watch due to your personality and humour. Keep up the good work!
Useing the "banana going bad" colour pallet is an interesting choice.
banana going bad is quite a good colour pallette
i'm impressed how well he made it work!
I like how it started off with a small temple kind of vibe and now we have this... (not in a bad way, looks great Iskall)
1) rens comment at the end broke me.
2) Can't wait for Doc + Iskall vs Beef + Skizz (+ Tango and Imp, 'cause you can't have one without the others) (+ Grian. In a war with Doc there is always a Grian)
I'm continually impressed by Iskall's willingness to push outside of his comfort zone and make outside-the-box decisions this season.
I love the idea of "this was already here and we're building over it". If that's the thought behind it to really sell it you could make as the higher you go, the newer the building gets.
On the base kinda dirty and old, and pristine clean in the top
its nice to know that everyones favorite part of the massive build iskall spent so much time on is the 4-block fan in the middle
I like that you are going out of your comfort zone and trying new things. And I love that you are torturing Joel😂
at 6:04 if the center window or both outer ones would have amethyst in the backgroung and not black concrete it could look good maybe? xD just thought of the time you used amethyst and tinted glass once and it looked amazing.
I kind of want to use that hello 🎵 as my text tone 😂
Excellent episode! I enjoyed the Yokel scene especially since he’s still learning that you’re not being rude, you’re just Swedish. ;)
Joel is a harder nut to crack than I thought he would be so I admire your persistence.
I feel like chaos mode is basically iskall learning how to blend blocks together
the interactions between yoel an eeskall are so hella weird, i love it😂
Yellow, and light gray are best colors, and work great together
I'm really enjoying the saga of iskall terrorizing british people with funny accents
The time-lapse showing everything we just watched was pure genius. Keep stepping out of your comfort zone, I'm enjoying your s10!
The fan genuinely just made the building from a C tier straight into a an A+
I really like how Iskall takes us through his process of building things. It makes me feel better about my own buildings which take a lot of time and are not how most youtubers nowadays do litematica timelapses that look like they 3d print buildings into a minecraft world
@7:45 the yellow beginning to wrap around the build looks like someone tossed and egg at it - love it!
Once you're rich enough, I like using the top of shulker boxes to look like riveted metal plates. Also, they can be dyed to go with any of your builds. But I really enjoy watching you experiment with different colors and shading, it makes me feel inspired to create!
iskall, you're cooking, you're brewing up such a cool build, and you laugh at yourself but YES you are a builder
7:35 now it just looks like eyez
