My similar fridge is running almost non stop. The compressor is too hot to touch, but the coils are barely body temperature. The return line is cold. The freezer has been holding steady at just 22F for 2 weeks, but now has climbed close to 30F :(
Any ideas what might be wrong?

Make Sure the Condenser Fan Motor is Running. If the Condenser Fan Motor is Working, It Could be a Freon Leak. In Most Cases, If there is a Freon Leak, It is best to Replace the Refrigerator. @@DIYRepairsNow Mmmm thank you. I checked and found that I have 3-4psi but then I found a coconut sized ice ball on the line that feeds the evap coil. This is not snow but rock solid ice. It had the sensor covered, so I melted it all with a hair dryer. It took 25 minutes. Its been a day and Im down to 22F, hopefully will be lower tomorrow.
Do you think this ice ball was the problem or just a symptom of some other problem?

These Type of Refrigerators are all Controlled By the Main Control Board, Meaning they do Not Have a Timer.

No, the evaporator fan motor of the freezer throws the air to the refrigerator. Most likely is the fan motor.
