Blight has been pretty chill, I also found ~50 abyssal jewels I haven't priced, and the usual corpses / allflames that are current leaguemechanic so not included. Dropping the expensive scarab is also an option, you'll just get more blighted maps instead of ravaged. Next up is Ultimatum! Thanks for watching!
I've been doing this strat all league on shore maps for the open map layout, boss rush-> clear map for altars(dupe chance for pump explosion)->do blight. I walk out of each map with 2-3d in random garbage not including the extractables, my current record for a single map is about 20 pieces of extractable jewelry with 8 of them being ones with gold/silver extracts
if you're gonna do the Blight Ravaged maps as a non-spellcaster you can totally just get a bodyarmor with the necropolis haunted modifier "your warcries open chests" and use call to arms + warcry for non-spellcasters. this might come at the cost of having an armor swap though (one for the map and one for looting.)
I'm not sure what I did wrong, but when I ran 50 of these maps I didn't get a single ravaged blight map. Also, no one wants to buy blighted maps at all-- on TFT or on trade site, even offering at 85% of value. Maybe my filter was messed up, but I hardly got any jewelry that had gold/silver to extract. I paired Heist with this strat, and I think I made more from selling the contracts/blueprints than i did from the actual blight mechanic...
I don't always build towers, but when I do, they are always a Chilling Tower MK III and a Seismic Tower MK III next to each other (and never take them to level IV (4)).
Chilling 3 with temporal and an enhance 3 can basically lock down a lane, including bosses. This is only relevant if your build isn't good at clearing.
spending a few hours to never have to worry about oils for the rest of the league alone seems pretty good for ssf/multi character enjoyers, while selling/using all the extra stuff along the way
Blight is underrated af imo. Especially at league start it's insanely helpful and also quite profitable. And pretty much everybody can do blight, since towers carry hard. Started with blight this league and even now it's still pretty competitive, since div/h is pretty low this league.
Yeah, that's something that I learned last league with the Blight challenge. I never sold my oils cause it just felt good knowing that I never had to worry about buying them again (also ended up using them for other characters).

Blight is one of those "comfy food" mechanics that I pick no matter how profitable. And make my characters to be good at it without relying on towers. also what happened with div cysts? Those only drops stacked decks and no cards...
In my experience, they are always slightly profitable, but rarely make big money unless you hit a Stranglegrasp or some other big unique/card/whatever. Kinda like most casual farming strats atm.
topend of blight-ravaged in 3.24 is around 15div/h + stranglegasp drop 1in200 on avg. That's very consistent and deterministic content. Unfortunately it's depressing seeing 70 or 90div/h atlas strategies, 3.24 is a mess and sad league.
Blight is such a great thing to focus on at the beginning of the league if you are an average player. Blighted/Ravaged maps don't use your Atlas, so they are good even if you don't have much Atlas completion. The Atlas nodes can be gotten relatively quickly and once they are done you don't have to worry about any other mechanic until you want to. If your build or gear is trash (or you're just a tank), the towers will carry you no matter what (especially the node that increases tower damage while decreasing player damage). Blight will supply you with the oils you need for your anoints, oils for profit, bubblegum currency, the occasional divine or good fractured item, maps, essences, etc. It's a good source for a lot of things and is profitable even if you have potato skill level. Only real downsides I've run into are mobs getting stuck in Blight/Ravaged maps making your chase them down after pump is destroyed, it can be slow, it can be buggy, and especially this season it runs so poorly that you will be Slideshow Bob next to the pump for most of the mechanic unless you have a great computer. Highly recommend spell mastery that opens chests 25% of the time when you cast for less clicking. EDIT: I think like someone said in chat in the video, just doing the Blights in your maps is probably more profitable. Speed run them on a narrow map like Toxic Sewer to (hopefully) force a single lane, which will always reward you with oil chests. This plus extractors is good money.
You can hold Alt while on the passive tree and it will show what oils it takes to unlock that passive. Its an option if you dont want to look outside of the game for amulet extractions
Good tactic on blight is build a empowerment tower that power player instead tower and mow down everything with it if you strong. Then just put chill and stun towers all over the place XD

One thing you can do with blight is to create a trade site search with a list of the anoints you want to use oil extractors on. Then throw all your anointed jewelry into a dump tab, make it public, run your search against your own account name. Then use that to separate out the good ones to extract.

My main issue with blight farming is you have to make tons of small sell to add up to profit most of the time. Occasionally you will get a big drop but its 10,000 small sells. To get money. I like it early league when small currency holds a lot of value. But not now.
Dialed, great video, I love this series of all the league mechanics. Empy drops new/old meta strats in very simple terms that remind you of tricks/tips to currency making(choices why/how etc). Played most leagues since Syndicate and amazed little things I've forgotten over the yrs lol
blight may have replaced essences as the lowest-tier strategy (for the weakest builds) given the changes to essences. this makes sense to me because essences are a more dynamic market than oils and thus hold their value better. the problem with oils is that there are a finite amount of anoints any given player will ever need to make on their builds and no one is really anointing their blight ravaged maps with 9 golden oils. ....but maybe by the end of the league golden oils will hit 20c and it will be profit-viable to do so, at which point they'll jump in price and finally be worth selling :3
I think a lot of the profit from blight will come from running the blight (and ravaged) maps. Especially when you corrupt them for a chance to get tainted oil which holds a lot of value.
From my blight experience, almost half of real profit which one can spend, is from Extracting gamba. With altas tree you guaranteed 2 oiled jewelry, but on average it's 3-4 per map. I would say every 5th is worth risk, so one could say that every 5 maps you get two additional silver/gold oils.
Blight has always been my favorite league mechanic. It never fails. It's extremely useful. Even if everyone pumps it during league start - you can just sit and wait and things will go up if you need currency. Ran blight for I don't know how many leagues now and I just enjoy it every time. It's very reliable currency and tends to just be very rewarding. Really wish they would address the fact that an autoclicker is mandatory unless you want to damage your hand though. Opening the chests with spells was a nice addition they did.
If you hide items (z by default I think), you can click the actual items that are on the ground to pick them up, instead of having to click the box that show up. This is nice for blight because everything drops in one tiny pile per cyst.
Lower blight oils are useless to add to exilence. It waaaaaaay overprices them because nobody is buying them in bulk. You are going to have a really bad time if you try to trade them 1 at a time. Honestly trading anything below opalescent is a waste of time. So take out all of that and the profit is even worse.
If you dont want to bother with towers but make sure you don't fail; get the chill towers freeze annoint on one of your rings and just throw down a lvl 1 chill tower on each lane. I've done this strat early league with a summoner build combined with Alva temple building and its insane money with just the polished and gilded scarabs.
Man, how come if I copy these strategies I don't even make a quarter of the currency :( Also just a warning for those wanting to try blight, selling oils is pain as you often have to sell it one at a time, and maps take a verryyyy long time to sell, sometimes they just don't sell at all. I still have 8+ T16 maps that I haven't got a single whisper for from a week ago. You can try TFT/wealthy exile but I wasn't getting many bites. One thing I would include in these reviews is how liquid the stuff is, because for a lot of people that don't play enough to get large bulk some stuff is very hard to sell
It's always been this way with blight, only people who buy oils in bulk are uber-blight farmers. And even then, only oils that actually sell are teal (reduced time in blight), crimson (cheapo lucky chests) and top-3. You can sell at adequate price in bulk if you convert your oils accordingly, and then sell the rest in singles.
@@kevinknoll4504 i had fair share of success in small bulk sale in regular trade for opals and silvers. Only oil that's mostly sells in singles is golden, effectively 2div is +curse annoint and that's biggest bulk there.
When a regular map drops from Blight chest, does it take into account what favorite maps you have on your atlas? Or it is a complete random fiesta of maps that you would never run?
I used to always league start blight to avoid trying to buy oils for the rest of the league. The actual blighted maps are really good to still get currency/exp on a support character; its a really easy way to get an aurabot to 90 or so on your own time with green oils. It solves the issue of playing support that is "what do I do when I'm the only one on?"
good one of blight but u take all beyond someting atlas node if u take all increase effect node+ 8 mode corrupted map (whit effect) i am definetly sure profit will be double
what is your opinion about running without scarab drops ? the Unwavering Vision node ? is it worth combining with blight and have more mechanics at the price of scarabs ?
I'm not sure avout current atlas, but previously you could get map dupe chance (pretty sure map drop chance would work as well) and get way more value trough even normal blighted maps. Especially with last season tained prices.
Most of the oil money is 23 golden and 19 silver oils, even if you sell them 1 by 1 it's not that many trades, and some people will buy bulk for annointing blighted maps.

The actual blighted maps are really good to still get currency/exp on a support character; its a really easy way to get an aurabot to 90 or so on your own time with green oils. It solves the issue of playing support that is "what do I do when I'm the only one on?"
good one of blight
but u take all beyond someting atlas node if u take all increase effect node+ 8 mode corrupted map (whit effect) i am definetly sure profit will be double
I thought he was going to run the blighted maps as part of the experiment 😢
Experiment with what?
They kinda suck when compared to the strat empy did.
what is your opinion about running without scarab drops ? the Unwavering Vision node ? is it worth combining with blight and have more mechanics at the price of scarabs ?
Blight have been dogshit this leauage.
I'm not sure avout current atlas, but previously you could get map dupe chance (pretty sure map drop chance would work as well) and get way more value trough even normal blighted maps. Especially with last season tained prices.
i was thinking he could drop the ravaged scarab for the 30% map dupe scarab, not sure if it’s better or not though
add in heist its an extra free loot witth blight especially when u get the fully revealed blueprints!
Not looking forward to the incursion strat, is the one i use and i hoping people dont see it as better than what it is.
I'd like to see what comes out of the blight ravaged maps. they can be good
What build is this? And how did he set it up so it just cast itself and didn't need to press a key to send the spell?
I got an apothecary in t12:)))
6:28 the average poe player experience.
Never though I was going to see Empy doing blight. It is always my starter.
Blights biggest issue, is that its blight
my PC can't handle this strat
early in the league blight rav maps went 5 for 1 div on tft, that made the strat feel alot better than now for me atleast
Do ultimatum next. Its insane.
I needed this, thank you.
Hi, HARVEST, bye.
Blight is trash with scarabs...
Does any know if blight scarab of oils stack?
Problem that i have is that Blight just completely lags me out..
Can you create a series trying these strats on a tier 17 map? :)
Do blighted/ravaged maps respect favorited maps when they drop? if so would it not be worth favoriting them?
Im pretty sure they do, but not as much as regular maps I think. I had like half of blighted maps be toxic sewers at the end of my mini project.
barrels still carrying lol
love theses vids shows whats good for someone who idk what todo later in the game
Blight so lagy now...
Path of Estrogen.
The bad part is that, most of it came from oil... and you dont really bulk-sell the oils .
Most of the oil money is 23 golden and 19 silver oils, even if you sell them 1 by 1 it's not that many trades, and some people will buy bulk for annointing blighted maps.
9:37 - 9:45 gave me some serious „American dad“ grandpa flashbacks
delirium&go pls
how does he use Exilence. Didnt they shit down servers?
Excilence CE is a new fork
@@Empyriangaming thanks for the reply!
There is cast mastery which open chest when you use spell you can use it to open blight chest just by using skills no need to click one by one
RIP wildwood ascendancy that did the same for shouts :(
Blight or shite?
Please send pobb
Imagine the pain in the ass to sell all those stuff just to extract that "profit".
Gold and silver oils usually sell almost instantly. Which is where the main profit comes from. T17 maps also sell instantly.
Theres a tool you can use to just ctrl c and it will overlay oil types from the annoint
Do you remember the name? Thanks.
I love 6:26 - Blight be like that sometimes... :D
Cam wait for the Ultimatum video!!
Is there a way not to lag on blight maps ? I have even map going to 1 fps or crashing ( i have a 4080 super and a ryzen 7 7800x3D )
I changed the rendering driver to Direct X12, and it stopped my crashing. I have a 4090.
Change to dx 12 had the same problems on dx 11
Changing to DX12 fixed it for me as well.
really good video, i like the series!
Why terraria music
Why not? :D
